Dr. Ben Wheeler grew up in Blackshear, GA. He completed his Bachelors of Science from the University of Georgia and his Masters of Arts from Boston University School of Medicine. After graduating from the Dental College of Georgia (formerly Medical College of Georgia) with his D.M.D. degree, Dr. Wheeler accepted an endodontic residency position at The University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. He performed research on root canal configurations using cone beam computed tomography scans which he presented at the AAE annual meeting.
In his second year of residency, Dr. Wheeler won the John T. McSpadden Spirit of Service award for clinical excellence, scholarly activity, & altruism. Dr. Wheeler is board eligible & an active member of the American Association of Endodontists as well as the as American Dental Association.
Dr. Wheeler loves the science behind endodontics as well as putting his patients at ease before their procedure. Dr. Wheeler resides in the Atlanta area and has many interests outside of Endodontics including cheering on his Georgia Bulldogs.
Dr. Shah received Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Florida. During his training at University of Florida, he acquired numerous accolades and awards. He was on Deans List for three years in a row. He was also chosen for prestigious Pierre Fauchard Academy Award and L .D. Penkey Institute Student Award in Periodontics and Prosthodontics for excellence in dentistry. He furthered his training to receive his certificate of Endodontics-a specialty training from the University of Florida in 2001. Dr. Shah is a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists, and maintains active membership in numerous professional associations. He stays at the forefront of endodontic clinical advances with particular emphasis on 3D CT imaging, endodontic microsurgery, and retreatments.
Dr. Shah serves as the President for Georgia Association of Endodontists. He is also a member of American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association and Southern Endodontic Study Group. He serves on the committee of Hinman Dental Society
Dr. Shah gives back to the community by volunteering at Ben Massell Clinic and Fayette Dental Clinic. Dr. Shah lives in Peachtree city with his wife and two children. In his free time, he likes to spend time in the outdoors, playing and watching the game of cricket, hiking the trails of beautiful mountains across the country and particularly enjoys Silver Comet Trail. He likes to travel and he enjoys spending his free time with his wife and daughters.
