I needed my first root canal Friday morning and I was SO nervous. The operating areas are very nice and clean and have huge viewing windows so you can see outside. There are several beautiful plants to look at which I found kinda helpful. I had Dr Dean and he talked me through the whole thing and explained what he was doing as he was doing it which also helped settle my nerves. With how severely anxious I was,, I'd highly recommend them.

Having only had 3 or 4 fillings and routine teeth cleanings in my entire life, I figured I would require a crown when I broke my back molar in half. I was very scared to hear from my wonderful dentist, Dr. Rodriguez at Exceptional Dentistry and Sedation, that I required an evaluation to make sure that I would not require a root canal first. I was referred to Endodontic Associates who scheduled me an appt for the next morning. From the office staff to the dental assistant who took my x-raysto the dental assistant who assisted with my evaluation (I think her name was Kristen; I remember her saying that she didn't normally work in the Tower Road office on Fridays), and Dr. Samuel Markham were nothing but kind, caring, understanding, and calming. They explained everything and took their time with me. I was so scared the day of the procedure I was literally quaking in my boots. The procedure was all but painless; I asked Dr. Markham to explain things while he was working which he did and I appreciated! I am a medicine geek and it took my mind off of the procedure .Before I knew it, it was over. It was all but painless. They advised me that it should not hurt me in the next few days either. And they were right! I have had no pain whatsoever since the procedure was completed. Hopefully, I will never need another root canal, but if I do....I will be seeing Dr. Markham at Endodontic Associates.

I wasted 6 months of my life fighting a deep infection with this place. Everytime my appointment was done and scheduling the next appointment they would be too booked up for their own good leaving my infection to come back with vengeance multiple times. One of the times led me into the ER as the infection started to swell my ear canal. The ER doctor said I needed to have my dentist deal with it NOW. I called to explain my ER situation and how I needed to be seen sooner and never heard back. I was at whits end when I decided to try a different endo who attacked the infection I had to the point of killing it with biweekly visits. I couldn't get into this place after a month because they were so booked. After discussing this with the endodontist and showing him proof of the infection being gone, he could care less still stuck in the ways of the book rather than physical evidence that the infection was handled differently and better. Sam's response to everything was beyond defensive that after that conversation I wouldn't feel comfortable with him near my mouth again. I wouldn't go back here again if my life depended on it

If you're googling where to schedule/are reviewing this place for a root canal, you found the one! I was dreading this procedure, but I walked in, waited 3 mins, a lovely nurse walked me in, took my X-rays, explained everything as she took some more pictures. Dr Markham further explained the procedure and answered all my questions. Anesthetic went in and did not feel a single thing after that. 30 mins I was done, no pain, no swelling. Anesthesia wore off and literally barely any discomfort, literally way less than what I felt before the procedure. Done deal, choose this place!

Literally was terrified of a root canal! Never had anything like this before! Just told them I was nervous Drs and the helpers during the procedure (sorry don't know their correct terms) seriously explained everything! Kept asking if I was okay... how I was doing... root canal sounds of the different drills sound freaky but they do not have any pain!! They seriously want to help you and make you feel comfortable! I am so glad I didn't put this off and I went here! The scenery where you sit is also relaxing and is so pretty it really helps your experience! I would recommend to anyone I meet! Thank you for everything!

Today I had my first visit with Dr. Dean and it was for my first root canal. I was incredibly nervous and expressed this to him, but he was kind enough to answer all the questions I had first and reassured me that it would be okay. It was a painless procedure! Only one mistake occurred, when some (nasty-tasting) cleaning liquid somehow made it into my mouth, but even then they were kind enough to react quickly, fix it, and then explain to me what the liquid was so I wasn't too startled by it. I'm so thankful for Dr. Dean and the team that assisted him during my visit, if I need more work, I'll definitely be back! Thank you!

Yesterday Dr Dean saw me on a few hours notice due to an extremely painful tooth. Both him, his dental assistant and receptionist were all so welcoming and caring. They ended up referring me to a oral surgeon but they made sure I had an appointment with one the next morning. They actually took my pain seriously which was refreshing. If I need a root canal in Gainesville I will definitely go here!

Today was my first visit to Endodontic Associates. I saw my dentist this morning concerning a very painful toothache. He told me I would need a root canal and referred me here. I was able to get an appointment for late this afternoon. I saw Dr. Markham who was great. He walked me through everything beforehand because I had never had a root canal before. I felt very minimal pain during the root canal, and feel so much better now. The staff was great too. Very friendly. I definitely recommend Endodontic Associates.

Mixed experience at Tower rd location, see below to decide if it's right for you. To start off, Dr. Dean was excellent. He is a skilled doctor and good listener, he tried to do the procedure as gently and accurately as possible. Now the negatives - equipment could use an update, appointments seem to be booked with no regard to how long procedure actually takes so that doctor has zero (0) seconds between patients which makes for long wait times followed by a rushed appointment with doctor trying to attend to three patients at once and assistants finishing up the procedures to the best of their ability which also seems to vary... 3 visits in total and same issues at all of them. 5 stars for the doctor himself, 3 stars for organization, equipment and other personnel which unfortunately affect how well the doctor can help patients. google doesn't allow to put 3.5 stars, that would be more appropriate.
