Our endodontists dentists with additional education, training and certification specialize in root canals and other endodontic procedures aimed at saving patients natural teeth. We treat patients from Sacramento, Elk Grove, Woodland, Davis, Roseville, Rocklin, Auburn, Folsom and several other surrounding Northern California communities.

Dr. Aneet Bal chose to become an endodontist because of his desire to help patients relieve their dental pain and retain their natural teeth. Also, he believes educating patients about their treatment plan and root canal care options is paramount to the decisionmaking process.

Dr. Bal is a native of Canada. He obtained his undergraduate degree in organic chemistry from the University of Toronto and attended Case Western Reserve University Dental School in Cleveland, Ohio where he received a number of scholarships, academic and clinical awards. He graduated at the top of his class and was inducted into and is a lifetime member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, an academic dental fraternity.

After graduating dental school in 1997, Dr. Bal was accepted into a residency program at the Cleveland Clinic where he became proficient at providing dental treatment to medically compromised patients including those with cardiac, cancer, and transplant conditions. He graduated in 1998 and received his Certificate in Endodontics from Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia in 2000. In 2009, Dr. Bal obtained certification in oral sedation dentistry through the DOCS course.

Dr. Bal met his wife in dental school and they have four wonderful children. As a busy family man, most of his free time is spent with his wife and kids. His interests include cars, movies, hiking, computers, electronic gadgets, and learning to play golf.

Dr. David Keating, an endodontist, focuses his specialty dental practice on listening to patients and explaining what to expect during root canals and other endodontic procedures. His academic excellence, leadership and community service enhances and informs his endodontic practice.

Dr. Keating received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in 2009. As a result of his academic achievements at UCSF, he was inducted into, and is a lifetime member of, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, an academic dental fraternity. Dr. Keating went on to University of California Los Angeles where he earned his Certificate of Specialization in Endodontics in 2011. His educational endeavors also included various leadership positions, notably Class President, UCSF School of Dentistry (2007-2008). In addition to being the recipient of various educational awards, Dr. Keating has devoted a significant amount of time and effort into university service as well as public health related community service.

Dr. Keating was born and raised in Sacramento and attended Jesuit High School. In addition to traveling, Dr. Keating enjoys many outdoor activities, including golfing, fly fishing, skiing, backpacking and SCUBA diving. Dr. Keating initially worked as a Dental Assistant for Endodontic Associates Dental Group and is now enjoying practice partnership alongside his father, Dr. Kevin Keating, and the other endodontists in the group.

In early 2013, Dr. Kolber joined Endodontic Associates Dental Group and then became a partner in the group in 2015. Prior to joining the team, he practiced endodontics for three years in Arizona and the greater Sacramento area.

Dr. Kolber graduated from the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry in 2008 and went on to the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry, where he earned his certificate in Endodontics in 2010. While at UCLA, Dr. Kolber held the distinguished position of chief resident.

He and his wife, Ruthy, were originally from the California Bay Area, and have selected Sacramento as their permanent home. They have four children, and when not practicing endodontics, Dr. Kolber is happy to wear the hat of husband and dad. He is very involved in the various activities of his children, and is currently a dedicated soccer coach!

As a family man, most of Dr. Kolbers favorite hobbies and activities are best enjoyed with his wife and kids. Some of the families favorite regular annual trips include skiing in Lake Tahoe and extensive trips exploring many of the National Parks and Canada.

Had my root canal done yesterday. Dr. Shi and her team did excellent work. Made sure the experience was painless, and made sure they informed me of everything they where doing. The process took a little over an hour and I went by in a flash. Thank you once again Dr. Shi you and your team are amazing

Well, no one gets excited about going to the dentist... let alone going to an endodontist for a root canal! Everyone in this office was professional, pleasant, and thorough. Dr. Kolber was THE BEST. Punctual, professional, and had excellent chairside manner. The entire process was quick and efficient, and I recovered nicely that evening.

Was referred to a dentist for a root canal but had bad vibes. Looked on the Delta Dental website and found Dr. Shi. Best experience ever and after a 3-D x-ray, it was determined I did not need one. Office staff was the best ever. Would definitely return if I need a root canal in the future.

Dr. Savani is honest. I thought I needed a root canal, but it turns out my tooth was fine. I showed up with cash to get a root canal, but she told me I didn't need one, when I had just been to another place that was ready to do it, expect my insurance wouldn't pay. Dr. Savani saved me my health and my money. I am so grateful. DR SAVANI IS AN HONEST SPECIALTY DENTIST. THANK YOU SO MUCH, DR SAVANI. PS my tooth is fine 4 years later!

Dr. David Keating is a miracle worker. I was out of town on vacation and started to develop an ache in my tooth. Unfortunately, the pain continued thru-out the next 5 days on vacation to the point where I was not able to sleep and no amount of pain medication would help. Upon return from vacation, I immediately saw my dentist who identified the problem and so I went to Dr. Keating to have a root canal. He tells me this was a severe case of infection and helped me to understand every step of the process to my recovery. He was professional, kind, and communicative. I went from not sleeping and intolerable pain (10) to amazing results with pain subsiding immediately. This was my first (and hopefully only) root canal in my 60 years; however, if the misfortune were to occur again, there is no doubt I would return to Dr. Keating. He is amazing!

Dr. Bal explained everything before we started. During the procedure I felt absolutely no pain or discomfort of any kind. Dr. Bal told me through the process if I would hear a particular sound or feel pressure, but the entire experience was incredible. I can't say enough positive about Dr. Bal and the entire staff.

Excellent group of endodontists to work with! I have entrusted them with my patients and even family members and always ask for feedback regarding their work and I have to say, there is nothing less than stellar reviews. My patients comment that all the doctors have been gentle, quick and the team members have made their visits as comfortable as possible. I am so grateful to recommend this group to anyone seeking a place to get endodontic treatment without ever actually feeling like they did! It kind of makes me want to get a root canal myself to see what I am missing on!! Thank you for taking such great care of my patients and putting the fun in root canals again!

I had a root canal yesterday and I must say I truly was terrified! Believe me when I tell you there is absolutely nothing to fear with these doctors and assistants and office staff! I was told how simple it was by the front desk but honestly didn't ease my mind! I was seen by Dr David Keating and his assistant! Dr Keating explained everything about the process and we got to work! His numbing process was incredibly painless (never felt it) After a little wait the process began and I was amazed at the hands on this dr and his assistant who never said a word during procedure! Her name I believe is shanika? Anyhow coming from a man who would rather do a extraction I am completely satisfied and amazed at the skill, care, and utter professionalism you will notice! I write this less than 24 hours since procedure and I am pain free so thank you Dr Keating and staff from one happy man!

I broke a tooth this morning. I knew it was bad. My wonderful dentist referred me to Endodontic Associates Dental Group and Dr. David Keating. Dr. Keating and his assistant Andrea were amazing in every way. They were persistent in getting me to be painless, kind, and worked beautifully as a team. I cannot recommend them enough! They were fabulous and I am currently without pain. Root canals have notorious reputations. But Dr. Keating and his team made it "not so bad"!

Great office located 10 minutes from downtown. Such amazing staff was quick to check me in and take me back offering hand sanitizer and mouthwash. I quickly became comfortable walking through the spacious office to the room with privacy from the other patients. My dentist referred and made the appointment for me with DR ANEET BAL. With my open schedule I was consulted and procedure was finished in only 2 days. DR BAL was very educational and walked me through the root canal procedure, he answered all my questions and was very gentle when working on my tooth I hardly felt a thing. Its been 3 weeks and there has been no pain after. The follow up with DR BAL and staff was just as pleasant.

I was pleasantly surprised by my first root canal. It was not the horrible experience I anticipated. Other than having to keep my mouth open for an extended period, there was really nothing painful or unexpected. I would not ever recommend a root canal, however if one is needed, rest assured you will be in good hands with this group.

The root canal I had was painless and explained thoroughly. In addition, it went very quickly. A lot of care and concern shown by the staff. One cannot go wrong in choosing Endodontic Associates for their dental issues. Did I mention that the entire process was painless?

I am beyond grateful to the Dr. and the staff. From Beverly being so comforting when I called In immense pain to Sarah going above and beyond to calm my nerves during my whole visit. Then Dr. Kolber... what can I say.... caring, patient and amazing at what he does. His energy made my anxiety about the root canal go away. He made sure I knew at every moment what was going on and his calmness reassured me that I was in good hands. I felt no pain! Liz is a pure joy. She had me laughing in their office. She is super sweet with a very positive personality. She got back to me right away to let me know insurance coverage. She was the last person I saw in the office and she was so warm and encouraging. I mean, come on... I was laughing in a dental office! The office is CLEAN! There are air purifiers everywhere. I felt safe in there. Overall, I give them 5+. Honestly, if you are someone who has anxiety or worry about dental work. This place with their amazing staff, will help you.
