Our endodontists dentists with additional education, training and certification specialize in root canals and other endodontic procedures aimed at saving patients natural teeth. We treat patients from Sacramento, Elk Grove, Woodland, Davis, Roseville, Rocklin, Auburn, Folsom and several other surrounding Northern California communities.

Dr. Aneet Bal chose to become an endodontist because of his desire to help patients relieve their dental pain and retain their natural teeth. Also, he believes educating patients about their treatment plan and root canal care options is paramount to the decisionmaking process.

Dr. Bal is a native of Canada. He obtained his undergraduate degree in organic chemistry from the University of Toronto and attended Case Western Reserve University Dental School in Cleveland, Ohio where he received a number of scholarships, academic and clinical awards. He graduated at the top of his class and was inducted into and is a lifetime member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, an academic dental fraternity.

After graduating dental school in 1997, Dr. Bal was accepted into a residency program at the Cleveland Clinic where he became proficient at providing dental treatment to medically compromised patients including those with cardiac, cancer, and transplant conditions. He graduated in 1998 and received his Certificate in Endodontics from Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia in 2000. In 2009, Dr. Bal obtained certification in oral sedation dentistry through the DOCS course.

Dr. Bal met his wife in dental school and they have four wonderful children. As a busy family man, most of his free time is spent with his wife and kids. His interests include cars, movies, hiking, computers, electronic gadgets, and learning to play golf.

Dr. David Keating, an endodontist, focuses his specialty dental practice on listening to patients and explaining what to expect during root canals and other endodontic procedures. His academic excellence, leadership and community service enhances and informs his endodontic practice.

Dr. Keating received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in 2009. As a result of his academic achievements at UCSF, he was inducted into, and is a lifetime member of, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, an academic dental fraternity. Dr. Keating went on to University of California Los Angeles where he earned his Certificate of Specialization in Endodontics in 2011. His educational endeavors also included various leadership positions, notably Class President, UCSF School of Dentistry (2007-2008). In addition to being the recipient of various educational awards, Dr. Keating has devoted a significant amount of time and effort into university service as well as public health related community service.

Dr. Keating was born and raised in Sacramento and attended Jesuit High School. In addition to traveling, Dr. Keating enjoys many outdoor activities, including golfing, fly fishing, skiing, backpacking and SCUBA diving. Dr. Keating initially worked as a Dental Assistant for Endodontic Associates Dental Group and is now enjoying practice partnership alongside his father, Dr. Kevin Keating, and the other endodontists in the group.

In early 2013, Dr. Kolber joined Endodontic Associates Dental Group and then became a partner in the group in 2015. Prior to joining the team, he practiced endodontics for three years in Arizona and the greater Sacramento area.

Dr. Kolber graduated from the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry in 2008 and went on to the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry, where he earned his certificate in Endodontics in 2010. While at UCLA, Dr. Kolber held the distinguished position of chief resident.

He and his wife, Ruthy, were originally from the California Bay Area, and have selected Sacramento as their permanent home. They have four children, and when not practicing endodontics, Dr. Kolber is happy to wear the hat of husband and dad. He is very involved in the various activities of his children, and is currently a dedicated soccer coach!

As a family man, most of Dr. Kolbers favorite hobbies and activities are best enjoyed with his wife and kids. Some of the families favorite regular annual trips include skiing in Lake Tahoe and extensive trips exploring many of the National Parks and Canada.

My experience with Dr. Opp and her office was five-star all the way through. From Janel, the kind office receptionist, to Dr. Opp herself, everyone was kind, patient, thorough, clear, and helpful. Dr. Opp took the time to explain what was happening and seemed genuinely concerned with what was best for me. She was a good listener. In addition, her work on my tooth was extremely thorough and detail-oriented. She wanted to get it perfect and took the time to do it right. She came highly recommended to me by my general dentist, who is a kind and thorough perfectionist as well, and she exceeded my expectations.

I will start out this review stating that Dr. David Keating, DDS, did NOT meet my expectations, and in this case, that was a GREAT thing! To clarify, I was having severe pain in my lower right back molar, and my dentist in Roseville (Dr. Karanvir Sibia at ACE Dental, a great general dentist, by the way) was able to see me on short notice on Monday, January 3rd, 2022. He was able to deduce that I had a tiny little fracture in that molar, and that I might need a root canal. I was referred to EADG and was able to get in for a 1:30 PM appointment. Now I already have a healthy phobia of dentists, thanks to an awful one I had as a child. That was compounded by the very mention of a possible root canal, fueled by some horror stories I've heard from others. I told EVERYONE at EADG this: the receptionist, the hygienist assisting Dr. Keating, and Dr. Keating himself. They were very empathetic and reassured me that I was not in the minority in this; Dr. Keating reinforced this by saying that anyone referred to their office wasn't there after receiving good news. Dr. Keating and the hygienist (I wish I'd asked her name) were exceptional and made my first (hopefully ONLY) root canal less of a nightmare than I was anticipating. Dr. Keating explained each step of the process (from testing, to applying a topical anesthetic, to injecting the local anesthetic. (I won't sugarcoat THAT part of the process--that was uncomfortable, and thankfully, the worst part of it.) After injecting the local, he made doubly sure I was numbed up more than adequately: he asked if I still had sensation to the midline of my lip, and when I said I did, he shot me up even more. He continued to describe what he was doing, and as a medical professional myself (I've been a nurse for 31 years), I truly appreciated that. He was also very pleasant and complimentary to the hygienist, remarking how well she seemed to anticipate what equipment he needed, though this was the first time she'd assisted him. That earned Dr. Keating even more points in my book. A few final x-rays (seeing these very fine needles inserted into my tooth all the way to apex of its roots was cool and disconcerting at the same time), a temporary filling (in preparation for a crown at my regular dentist's office), and I was all done! To reiterate, I entered the office VERY anxious: my hands were cold, I had a decent stomachache going on, and I was expecting the worst discomfort and unpleasantness one could imagine. So in this regard, when I declare that Dr. Keating and his work did NOT meet my expectations, I happily mean that in the BEST possible way. (By the way, Dr. Keating, no offense meant, but I hope I never have to come by and see you again. I'll absolutely sing your praises to anyone who needs an endodontist, however!)

Dr. Javaheri had to replace an inflamed root canal under a crown, which was causing me great pain across the teeth on one side of my face. After evaluating where the pain was coming from and which tooth, he had to go in and clean out the infection. He explained each step he would be doing before proceeding. He was very calm and exacting, and so I felt calm. The nurse practitioner was also very kind and the two worked well as a team. Dr. Javaheri explained to me what to expect in reaction to the procedure. I had ache but a Tylenol was enough to settle that. Another Tylenol the next day and then I was good. I could not eat heavy foods on the tooth for about 4 days, and now, 7 days later feel little discomfort. I am relieved and so pleased with the care I received at the Endodonic associates dental clinic.

I don't normally leave reviews; however, the care and expertise at this dental group was excellent and warrants one. Janel, Angela, and Dr. Javaheri were kind, patient, and engaged in my comfort/care; each of them efficient in what they were doing yet friendly and they made me feel comfortable. This was my 1st root canal. I'd heard various root canal stories over the years, so I wasn't sure what to expect but the experience here couldn't have been better. Dr. Javaheri explained everything to me and answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed. His manner and expertise saved my tooth and the process was as gentle and quick as possible. They are also COVID careful, which I appreciated. I highly recommend this Endodontic Group and will seek their services for any future care.

I recently had to have an emergency root canal and my dentist sent me to Endodontic Associates dental group and they were great! The front desk was very welcoming and helpful. David Keating was incredible and talked me through my procedure and was very attentive and made sure I felt no pain at all! To my surprise it was not painful and his assistants Chaunyce and Faiza were wonderful and very kind! They offered me a blanket and took great care of me! Thank you so much for turning my scared anticipation into pleasant experience! Kelly Tirri

Dr. Javaheri and his Staff were absolutely amazing! I was in a lot of pain from an aching tooth that needed a root canal and they were able to accommodate me that very same day for check up and procedure. I had the procedure down back in February of 2020 and have not had any issues what so ever.

Great Dentist! I got in for a late afternoon appointment and while the staff was good, the dentist (Kolber) was GREAT. They had me in for a consult but managed to get the root canal itself done at the same time. This saved me the cost of a consult. Kolber was professional and seemed very smart, which is important to me if you are going to insert power tools into my body. I will definitely go back here again if I need any endodontic work, regardless if its in my insurance network or not because these guys saved me money when I needed the money saved most (intense tooth pain and no current insurance).

I had an evaluation of a tooth with possible draining infection, with prognosis of extraction or root canal. Dr. Opp handled the evaluation very well. She explained every part of her exam and clarified what had been unclear from the oral surgeon's report. I would highly recommend her. The office was supportive and clear as well and gave a small senior discount which was appreciated.

Very personable, quickly efficient, and instructive about the procedure. I would not hesitate to ask for this group in the future.

I have nothing but the highest praise for this Orthodontic practice, although of course I had treatment only from one of the doctors - Dr. Keating. He has the best "chair"-side manner that I've ever encountered, as well as the highest level of skill and efficiency for performing the difficult and fearsome procedure. I've had three root canals done, and although one or more of them failed to save my tooth, I was always given proper and effective information on possible outcomes. The front office and technical staff were always friendly and courteous.
