Our endodontists dentists with additional education, training and certification specialize in root canals and other endodontic procedures aimed at saving patients natural teeth. We treat patients from Sacramento, Elk Grove, Woodland, Davis, Roseville, Rocklin, Auburn, Folsom and several other surrounding Northern California communities.

Dr. Aneet Bal chose to become an endodontist because of his desire to help patients relieve their dental pain and retain their natural teeth. Also, he believes educating patients about their treatment plan and root canal care options is paramount to the decisionmaking process.

Dr. Bal is a native of Canada. He obtained his undergraduate degree in organic chemistry from the University of Toronto and attended Case Western Reserve University Dental School in Cleveland, Ohio where he received a number of scholarships, academic and clinical awards. He graduated at the top of his class and was inducted into and is a lifetime member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, an academic dental fraternity.

After graduating dental school in 1997, Dr. Bal was accepted into a residency program at the Cleveland Clinic where he became proficient at providing dental treatment to medically compromised patients including those with cardiac, cancer, and transplant conditions. He graduated in 1998 and received his Certificate in Endodontics from Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia in 2000. In 2009, Dr. Bal obtained certification in oral sedation dentistry through the DOCS course.

Dr. Bal met his wife in dental school and they have four wonderful children. As a busy family man, most of his free time is spent with his wife and kids. His interests include cars, movies, hiking, computers, electronic gadgets, and learning to play golf.

Dr. David Keating, an endodontist, focuses his specialty dental practice on listening to patients and explaining what to expect during root canals and other endodontic procedures. His academic excellence, leadership and community service enhances and informs his endodontic practice.

Dr. Keating received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in 2009. As a result of his academic achievements at UCSF, he was inducted into, and is a lifetime member of, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, an academic dental fraternity. Dr. Keating went on to University of California Los Angeles where he earned his Certificate of Specialization in Endodontics in 2011. His educational endeavors also included various leadership positions, notably Class President, UCSF School of Dentistry (2007-2008). In addition to being the recipient of various educational awards, Dr. Keating has devoted a significant amount of time and effort into university service as well as public health related community service.

Dr. Keating was born and raised in Sacramento and attended Jesuit High School. In addition to traveling, Dr. Keating enjoys many outdoor activities, including golfing, fly fishing, skiing, backpacking and SCUBA diving. Dr. Keating initially worked as a Dental Assistant for Endodontic Associates Dental Group and is now enjoying practice partnership alongside his father, Dr. Kevin Keating, and the other endodontists in the group.

In early 2013, Dr. Kolber joined Endodontic Associates Dental Group and then became a partner in the group in 2015. Prior to joining the team, he practiced endodontics for three years in Arizona and the greater Sacramento area.

Dr. Kolber graduated from the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry in 2008 and went on to the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry, where he earned his certificate in Endodontics in 2010. While at UCLA, Dr. Kolber held the distinguished position of chief resident.

He and his wife, Ruthy, were originally from the California Bay Area, and have selected Sacramento as their permanent home. They have four children, and when not practicing endodontics, Dr. Kolber is happy to wear the hat of husband and dad. He is very involved in the various activities of his children, and is currently a dedicated soccer coach!

As a family man, most of Dr. Kolbers favorite hobbies and activities are best enjoyed with his wife and kids. Some of the families favorite regular annual trips include skiing in Lake Tahoe and extensive trips exploring many of the National Parks and Canada.

I have previously had a horrible experience at my former dental office. Dr. Shi and Razsa at the Elk Grove office are the most kind staff I have ever met. They put my anxiety at ease and made me feel safe. I highly recommend the Elk Grove office.

I was very grateful to have had the fortune to have my root canal performed by David Keating DDS. He listened, he was considerate, and he made the process as comfortable as possible for me. I have another coming up and have no trepidation going forward thanks to him!

Went here for a root canal. The staff was very friendly and their facility is very clean. They explained the whole process from start to finish and I felt very comfortable. I felt absolutely no pain or discomfort during my procedure. And the Provider always kept me informed regarding what he was doing and what I should or should not feel as well as hear.

The week of my birthday on March 12th, I started falling apart starting with the second COVID-19 vaccine side-effects. Even my toenails hurt following with a very strong tooth ache. I immediately requested help, when Dr. Opp and her assistant Razia came to the rescue. Outstanding work Dr. Opp!!! after the surgery (Root-channel), I started singing and dancing with no pain at all, my songs did not come out very well due to the numbness, but since then, NO PAIN at all. HEROES, not always wear CAPES... some of them wear white uniforms. Thank you Dr. Opp and Razia. A Desert Storm Veteran, happy and totally satisfied patient.

So professional and kind! I had no fear because the doctor explained the steps as he proceeded through the process. It was a great experience for an uncomfortable process.

Who knew a root canal would be pleasant? I was dealing with a jaw infection and a lot of pain. Endodontics Associates got me in the very next day after my dentist referred me. Dr. David Keating was very nice, highly aware of my pain level, wasn't in a rush to push me out the door. He made sure I was nice and numb before he proceeded. It didn't take long at all. They followed up, saw me again when I still felt like something wasn't right. They really made sure I was well taken care of. Extremely unusual for an Endodontist. If they did regular dental work, I would go to them 100%.

I was able to see Dr. David Keating, DDS for the first time for a post removal and partial root canal. This doctor was AMAZING. He greeted me with a smile and let me know, that he was going to take care of me; and if I had any questions, he would be happy to answer them. As he is proceeding with my post removal/root canal he's explaining the detail of my procedure. I appreciate his side chair manners, his personable nature and his MADD DDS Skills! I look forward to seeing him for my follow up!

This office did a great job on my root canal. You may be wondering why they only got 1 star... Well they did not check my benefits and explain to me options to use my coverage so that I am not coming out of pocket, for the rest of 2021, with my primary dentist. What this means for me is that Endodontic Associates in Elk Grove nearly maxed out my benefits for the entire 2021 year on the root canal ($1400+ out of my $1600 max.) and at the very end when the treatment was done they had me sign a document showing that I now know I have to get a crown from my primary dentist to complete this treatment. And it's still January 2021! I thought this office was going to complete everything for my tooth and that I wouldn't have to go back to my primary dentist to finish the job. Again nothing was explained until after they used my benefits and took my money. Prior to this mishap, this dental specialist office did not notfiy me that a consultation with them meant I could not get a covered exam with my primary dentist so again I had to fork out money rather than use my insurance. In a nutshell I could have paid 10% out of pocket in December 2020 to get this procedure done but since this office said if I wait until 2021 in January I would be covered 100% I am now out of benefits for the rest of the year and I have to pay out of pocket for any treatment. So I have to pay $750 to finish the root canal procedure with my primary dentist on the exact tooth that the root canal was done by Endodontic Associates in Elk Grove. Seems like they only care about taking your money and not taking care of their clients' during a pandemic when money is scarce for everyday people.

I went to see Dr. Kolber for a root canal. While getting a root canal is never a fun experience, Dr. Kolber and his assistant made the experience about as good as it could be. They explained everything they were doing and best of all, I was comfortable for the entire experience. Big thumbs up.

My first root canal and of course I was very nervous. Dr. Homan Javaheri, DMD, MDS was so gentle and nice. He and his assistant made sure I did not feel any pain the whole time and I no longer have issues with this tooth.
