Dr. Steven Donia, DDS is a pioneer in the field of cosmetic dentistry with over 20 years of experience in improving smiles through the use of porcelain veneers, dental implants, teeth whitening and metal-free dentistry, including the popular Invisalign method. At his office in Encino, CA, Dr. Donia, has performed thousands of cosmetic dental procedures and complete smile makeovers for patients throughout the San Fernando Valley, including Tarzana, Encino, Sherman Oaks and Studio City, as well as, the greater Los Angeles area.
Often recognized from his appearances on ABCs Extreme Makeover, Dr. Donia is skilled in the latest surgical techniques, and his state-of-the-art office is equipped with leading-edge diagnostic, surgical and sterilization equipment.
A native of Los Angeles, Dr. Donia earned a BS in biology from California State University Northridge, before going on to earn his dental degree from Case Western University in Cleveland OH. He was among the first dentists on the West Coast to specialize in the burgeoning field of cosmetic dentistry back in mid-1980s, and worked closely with Daniel Materdomini, founder of Da Vinci Dental Lab, to develop and place porcelain veneers. Dr. Donia has a wide clientele. Among them are numerous celebrities whose cosmetically-enhanced smiles have appeared on TV, magazine covers and in movies.
Dr. Jonathan Blinstrub graduated from California State University, Northridge. His academic work was rated superior and as a result he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He was then accepted to the University of California, San Francisco Dental School, recognized internationally in the field of dentistry.
After graduating, he completed a scholarship program with the US Army treating active duty soldiers as a Captain and Dentist at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. For four years, he was able to work alongside every subspecialty in the field of dentistry to provide comprehensive care for patients. Upon completion of his commitment he returned to his home town in sunny California.
Dr. Blinstrub takes his time and care to understand each patients unique concern and goal for treatment. With every visit, he gives patients the time to ask questions and get what information they need for making informed dental care decisions. Each and every treatment here is custom-tailored to fit the individual patient for results that work with their unique needs. Dr. Blinstrub believes that it is an important commitment to provide personalized treatment in order to create the best possible outcome.

I had the greatest experience at Encino total dentistry, Rebecca the hygienist did an amazing job with my deep cleaning as well as Dr. B who previously did some wonderful work with my fillings also. Last I really loved how organized & clean the front office staff kept the waiting area, not to mention the two ladies running the front desk, Cheyenne & Martina were both very friendly & showed exceptional customer service. 100% will recommend to anyone I know. & Jack the treatment coordinator was also great.

I've been a patient of this office since it was Encino Total Dentistry, and the noticeably greater change is remarkable! My first few visits were a little off scheduling was a problem, but once I met Jack and Amy I Immediately felt reassured and valued. I really connected with Amy during a deep cleaning (we took breaks for me and talked in between) she was one of the nicest most genuine kind people I have ever had doing anything like this for me. After that I went into Jack's office to reschedule and discuss payment plan. He was very accommodating and understanding and we worked Out a plan so I could get the work I needed, and I wouldn't go broke paying off necessary procedures. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Best dentist I've ever been to. Dr. Jonathan Blinstrub actually gives an effort to make sure i am comfortable through the entire process. Because of this doctor I am no longer terrified of going to the dentist. Thank you.

I had back-to-back appointments today for teeth cleaning and to get a check-up on my progress with Invisalign; I also got x-rays and a teeth scan as part of my treatment plan. Unexpectedly, a small cavity was found in one of my teeth. The dentist (Dr. Jonathan Blinstrub) was efficient and professional; he filled the cavity in 30 minutes (including 5 minutes at the outset to let the numbing gel do its work). The whole visit went smoothly and comfortably. I highly recommend Encino Total Dentistry for the beauty, health and comfort of your teeth! Everyone is friendly and helpful there.

Friendly staff, excellent providers, very helpful. Over the years Dr. Donia has helped me overcome my fear of going to the dentist and fear of the pain. He is very patient, calming, takes time to explain things so I can understand them and has a sense of humor which helps me. Now they have Dr. Blinstrub who's just as great of a of provider. I like my hygienist, their new treatment coordinator Jack and the rest of support staff. Great team.

Had a crown placed. Perfect fit. Excellant dentistry. All staff so kind. Beautiful clean office. Dr. B explained how the crown was made which made the visit more interesting. Highly recommended!

Where do I start? The dentist's assistant shot my x-rays from an off angle and made things look more significant than they were. The periodontist had to retake his x-rays to assess my problems correctly, and the atmosphere there was like a nail salon. The office manager Jack is rather arrogant and will not take responsibility for his actions no matter how minut they may be he would rather lose thousands of dollars than admit to being wrong. I've never met somebody in the service industry that demanded that you cater to their personality so fiercely as Jack has. I've been asked politely not to come back to that office because I had a problem with Jack's personality, not the dentist Please beware that you will need to cater to the nature of the front staff for them to provide services, I do not know where Jack got the information that he was relaying to other people in the medical field that take care me on a regularly basis namely my cardiologist and my general practitioner. I do not feel that they appreciate people with special needs.once you have found a deficit in their protocol, the arrogance starts to come up, so don't ask too many questions. Pay them and hope they don't wreck your mouth.(

This is by far the most professional dental office I have ever been in. The staff is very professional and polite. Dr. Donia is the best dentist ever. The office is beautiful, and has a very calming feeling. It doesn't feel like a dental office. I highly recommend using Encino Total Dentistry.

Dr Donia is the best dentist ever. I had a bad experience years ago with a different dentist . Dr Donia corrected the issue and has been my dentist for the last 20 years. He is very pleasant and is great at anything that needs to be done including cosmetics. All my family and friends go to Dr Donia. He is great.

Cindy is the best hygienist I've ever experienced. I'm not thrilled with the corporate dentistry. I like a singular dentist. I also hate that they bug me for reviews. But again the front staff and Cindy are great!
