Gary Braunstein, DDS, is a trusted general and cosmetic dentist at Carlsbad & Encinitas Dental Care. Since 1979, he has attended to the needs of patients at his clinic in Encinitas, California. In 2010, he opened his second location in Carlsbad, California. He is a trusted and well-known name in San Diego County and remains committed to his patients satisfaction, education, and health.
Dr. Braunstein began his education at Rutgers University where he earned his bachelors degree in psychology. He then completed his dental education at New York Universitys College of Dentistry in 1975. After finishing his schooling, he practiced dentistry as a captain in the United States Air Force before settling down in Southern California to fulfill his dream of opening his own private practice.
To continue pursuing the latest advancements in dentistry, Dr. Braunstein holds memberships with several professional organizations. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the San Diego County Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Braunstein has served thousands of patients over the course of his career and loves to maintain lasting relationships with each of them. He finds great joy in seeing how happy his patients are with their gleaming new smiles.
The most common procedures I do on a routine basis, are atraumatic extractions with bone grafting and guided bone regeneration, followed by single or multiple implant placement at a later date. I do place immediate implants into extraction sites when the remaining boney socket is just right. For every bone grafting patient, at least one vial of blood is drawn, from which is derived leukocyte-platelet rich fibrin, for hydrating the graft material.

I went in a little ignorant and fearful of the process and left feeling all my questions were answered very informative. Dr. Braunstein is very trustworthy allowing me to feel comfortable and everyone there is so helpful and friendly, I've never had an experience like this throughout my years of having dental work done. I personally have to travel for an hour between my place and their offices, The travel time is no issue. I am extremely happy I found your offices.

I have been seeing Dr Gary Braunstein for several years now and I switched over to him after he did my implant and he is always so nice and kind and he and his staff have a very gentle touch but get the job done. They have fit me in at least twice in the past year and today was no exception. I had a crown pop off last night and I called them at 8am and they fit me in a 130pm same day and I was thrilled. He glued my crown back on and I was good to go. His prices are fair and his staff is top notch. I can't recommend them enough.

It was just awesome.. I had a huge list of issues that he tackled with a compressed timeline before I was leaving state.. He hit it out of the park... I hate dentist's generally and have a sensitive mouth.. it still hurt/sore after, but during was awesome comparatively to others. ( My tip: Bring chapstick or ask for vaseline) I saw some other reviews complaining about price and I don't agree.. circumstances had me paying out of pocket cash.. and the prices were average for the services provided. Dental always cost alot...

Was going to Carlsbad office for 5 years.... last year they changed hygienist and front office!! Now awful.., Alex at the front desk is SO rude and disrespectful.....also quoting prices that are sky high?!?! Deep cleaning for 1600 and says it's a Law now to have it done every 2 years?!?! Just lost my busibesss!!!! Their going to lose a lot more patients because of Alex
