Dr. Laura A. Collatz is delighted and proud to be celebrating her 10 th year of caring for smiles in the Pittsboro community. Dr. Collatz took the opportunity a decade ago to serve the former patients of Dr. Noah Wilson and has since had the pleasure of meeting countless new patients as well.
It was so nice to see how Dr. Laura and her staff have made the lovely new office their own. Even after the many years I have been a patient, I am always impressed with how their warm, professional manner helps to make the procedures understandable and as pleasant as possible. Two thumbs up!
I had a cavity and crown prep. The doctor and staff did a bang up job. Very professional and relaxing. Holding my tongue down as they stated could lift 600 lbs and my small mouth to work in they earned their money. However, they were great about it and worked diligently to get me through this.
From the entrance to exit, very professional , warm and kind. Waking room was beautiful and very clean well organizeized I had a very short wait. The same for all the back offices. I was met by all with an ENCHANTING SMILE,

Serving as a teaching assistant and private tutor to other dental students while pursuing her own studies, Dr. Collatz graduated with honors from the UNC School of Dentistry. Prior to UNC dental school, Dr. C. was a dental hygienist for 13 years. She practices all facets of general dentistry including crowns, implant restoration, cosmetic dentistry, extractions, dentures, partials and may other services. Dr. Collatz enjoys working with children and adults alike. Committed to lifelong learning she attends Continuing Education classes regularly to stay current on skills and trends in the dental field. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family including her new grandson, gardening, sewing, and singing.
She has been the president of the Chatham County Dental Society for 5 years, and has received the Top Dentist award, voted on by other dentists, multiple times. She is active with the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Association and volunteers her services with local and statewide dental relief efforts.
She enjoys not only creating beautiful smiles but giving folks reasons to share them. Coming to the dentist doesnt need to be a stressful experience. We all feel like family and want to help the patients have fun when they are here. Whether its telling jokes, listening to music or playing a movie while youre in the chair, youre sure to leave feeling more like youve visited a good friend than a stuffy dental office.
Once upon a time, Dr. Laura entertained children and sold handmade fairy wings at the Carolina Renaissance Festival. Sometimes, Dr. Laura still dons pointy ears, delicate wings, and glitter to become the Tooth Fairy. She visits kindergartens, dance schools and assisted living facilities alike to promote good oral health. If youre lucky, you may even spot the tooth fairy at a visit to our office!
Molly joined our dental practice in 2012 starting as an office assistant. Dr. Collatz recognized her potential and began training her as a dental assistant. She obtained her radiology training and certificate in 2014. Molly has been Dr. Lauras right hand woman and girl Friday since then. She continues to be a jack-of-all-trades, as shes capable of handling various tasks in the front office as well as her responsibilities assisting the hygienists and doctor in the back. She strives to learn new skills. Prior to working at Enchanting Smiles Family Dentistry, she worked at Lowes Foods and Carolina Survey Research Lab.
Marion has two daughters and two sons in law. Sandra and Steve have 2 children; a son, Steven and a daughter, Parker. Elizabeth and Blaine have one son so far; Colby is named after his late grandfather.

My visit with Enchanting Smiles Family Dentistry was wonderful as usual. From the time one enters the door to when you leave, you are met with warm inviting individuals who work there. Everyone is personable and friendly; plus excellent in whatever they are responsible for. I would recommend this practice to anyone. On a level of 1 to 10...it is a 10+

REALLY good experience. A year after moving to Pittsboro and my 2nd appt, I am very impressed. Besides being really, really good at their "" craft "", they are very knowledgable about all concerning denistry. I highly recommend them.

I came to Dr Laura AKA The tooth fairy wanting a tooth extracted,she talked throughout the procedure and put me at ease,I was very pleased,I would and do plan to go back to her with any dental needs

Doc is extremely thorough with her exams and goes beyond just being your dentist! She and her staff are professional and work well together. Never thought I could say a dental visit was fun, but this is close!

Again as always Caroline, the hygienist would would do the cleaning and initial inspection of my teeth was great. She did a great job, even in the area where I had recently had some surgery. I have no qualms recommending Enchanting Smiles to anyone. Great people, great work, always fun; something you don't often hear about dental practices.

I switched to this practice when my previous dentist retired and I wasn't happy with his replacement. I've been extremely satisfied with Dr. Laura and her team over the last two years. Good atmosphere, friendly and professional staff. As close to fun as you can get at the dentist! Probably the best group I've used (and I'm 75). Highly recommended.
