Ron Katzer, DDS,s background in chemistry and microbiology, and a doctorate of dental studies from the University of Missouri at Kansas City as well as his decades of dental experience, make him a perfect fit to join our team of general dentistry practitioners at Emporia Family Dental Care.

With his knowledge and background, hes able to address most oral health situations that a patient may present. From exams and fillings to more complex dentistry Dr. Katzer can provide a wealth of expertise. And with his gentle approach, he is sure to make even the youngest of patients comfortable.

His professional affiliations and member status reads like the whos who of dental professionals, including past presidencies as well as peer review committees of the major dental organizations in the State. When hes not providing dental care, you may find him spending time tending to his honeybee hives. In fact, he loves to share the honey he harvests and is quick to provide insight on what makes for a good tasting honey!

She has watched with pride as patient families grow up, expand, and add new members all while keeping their teeth healthy and their smiles bright. A graduate of Flint Hills Tech College and Wichita Business College, Kim and her husband Adam raised their own family in Emporia. Their busy lives include spending quality time with kids Skylar and Jade as well as with three furry family members that rule the house!

Sheena excels in keeping the office schedules organized and the social media accounts active. From her volunteer work at church, to her passions for cooking and photography all while attending her daughters track meets and orchestra performances, Sheena is the Queen of Scheduling! She loves visiting with patients and sharing Adriana latest accomplishments as well as learning what is going on in their own lives.

A graduate of Flint Hills Technical College, Chelcie knew from an early age she wanted to go into dentistry. Her experiences with her own childhood dentist in Madison, KS, shaped her love of helping others keep their teeth healthy.

Chelcie fondly remembers her dentist, and his entire office, taking time to visit first, and make her feel comfortable, before starting any procedure. This compassion is what she has been practicing with her own patients for the past five years at Emporia Family Dental Care. In fact, connecting with her patients is one of her favorite parts of her position. She and her husband keep busy enjoying outdoor activities that include hunting and fishing. They also both enjoy watching a friendly and competitive sporting event- no matter whos playing or what sport they are watching. If the game is shared with family or friends than it is all the more enjoyable!

Jackies proud to call Emporia home for her two children, Andrew and Emily, and husband, Jesus, for the past 28 years. Before this she lived in Ecuador, South America for eight years and was born in New Jersey.

Jackie is a graduate of Flint Hills Technical College and ESU and has been keeping smiles healthy and bright for 25 years, first as an assistant for 13 years followed by her current role as a hygienist for the past 12. Her bilingual skills allow her to connect with any patient and her compassion and warmth are a true joy to be around. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, and shopping!

A proud graduate of FHTCs Dental Assisting and Hygiene programs, Elisa has found a home at Emporia Family Dental Care, and we are glad she is part of our family! When not caring for her patients with their dental care, you may find her with her fianc, two daughters, and Sophie, their Mini Australian Shepherd enjoying time outdoors.

In 2016 she brought that knowledge and background to the United States, and she has found a new home at Emporia Family Dental Care practicing as a dental assistant in a field that she loves. Along with her husband, Roberto, Nina celebrated the birth of their first child, Fernando, in February 2021. Nina loves the family atmosphere at EFDC including the ability to work beside her cousin, Jackie, who practices as a dental hygienist.
