Dr. Hernandez was born and raised in Brownsville and has been practicing General Dentistry in Brownsville since 1979. years. He graduated from St. Joseph Academy in 1972. He went to Texas Southmost College and then on to the University of Texas at Austin. He graduated from the University of Texas Dental School at San Antonio and is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
He began a customized athletic mouth guard program for the Brownsville Independent School District in 1981, where he places 25-30 mouth guards for each of the 7 high school football teams. One of his other passions is Public Address announcing. He has been an announcer at football games at Sams Memorial Stadium and at St. Joseph Academys Canales Field for over 30 years since 1985.
Dr. Alisha moved back to Brownsville after graduation from dental school in May 2016, and has been working at her Dads office since July 2015. Dr. Alisha enjoys working with her father and is looking forward to helping him with the mouth guard program for many years to come!
