I love helping people feel confident about their smile, whether it's from improving the cosmetics, or improving the overall function and health. Cosmetic dentistry is a true passion of mine, as I have had the privilege ofseeing howeven small changesin the mouth have made a huge difference in my patients lives. I also love the artistry and science of dentistry.itsamazing! My favorite pastimes arespending time with mywife, Jami, a professor at LBCC, and our beautiful daughters Tatum and Morgan. We enjoybarbecuing with friends and family, playing with our crazy dogs, Denver and Teddy, playing soccer, and traveling.

'Went in yesterday for a 6 month check up. Was greeted by an always cheerful Elaine and the front desk! Then Bailey, a new dental assistant, greeted me with an equally cheerful 'hello' and walked me back to my chair. Everyone said 'hi' to me as we walked back and I thought to myself 'this is why I 've been coming here for so many years!'. Bailey inspected my teeth and cleaned them as we had a great conversation about how to keep my teeth clean, brushing, flossing, etc. Then Dr. Pat came in and greeted me again like an old friend. So friendly and funny, yet very professional. I tell everyone that in my 70 years this is the ONLY dentist 's office where I have ever felt relaxed and welcomed! They treat every patient like this. With such class, friendliness, and professionalism. I would give them 10 stars if I could!! Emigh Dental Care. Simply The Best!!!'

'The front staff at Emigh Dental Care is very friendly and welcoming. There 's even water and apple juice while you wait. The waiting room is open and comfy! There 's also ample parking in the parking structure! I had my first examination with Dr. Reel today. She was warm, open and friendly! Freddy, the DA escorted me back to the exam room and explained everything thoroughly. I did share that I was worried about my teeth because I haven 't had dental care in about 3 years (no dental insurance). After 3 years with no dental care, I have just 1 cavity. After seeing Dr. Reel, Freddy took me to see hygienist, Tammy. Like Dr. Reel, Tammy was warm and friendly. She explained all the things that were to come for my cleaning and the importance of flossing. On 9/17 my 2 year old son and husband saw Dr. Todd. Dr. Todd thoroughly answered all our questions re: jaw surgery for my husband and referred him to an orthodontist. Although my 2 year old son didn 't cooperate by opening his mouth, Dr. Todd was able to entertain and make my son feel comfortable. Maybe next time, Dr. Todd will get to take a look at my son 's teeth. I look forward to getting my cavity fixed and my next cleaning. Thanks Emigh Dental Care!'

'Dr. Reel was the best!! I didn 't have a dentist in So Cal yet and broke a tooth and was lots of pain. Dr. Reel got me in quickly and came up with a plan that that worked great and took care of my issues. Definitely recommend.'

I've been wanting to get my silver fillings replaced for some time now and finally decided to do it at Emigh Dental. I am so happy I did because it was such an easy, painless appointment! Dr. Todd was so considerate to numb me just the right amount so that it can wear off later in the day in time for work. My new tooth-colored fillings match so well with my natural teeth, I am very happy with the quality of work that was done on me. Highly recommend Emigh Dental!

Short Story: they went out of network with delta dental as of 11/12/21 and didn't clearly state this to patients. 2 stars for being a good service as you can clearly see from past reviewers, but lack of transparency about going out of network lost my trust. Long Story: I know they had their reasons, but my issue is that they distributed this in a letter (see photo) to patients and were tricky to not include the clear words "going out of network" in either their letter or when verbally sharing in the office, just that the billing process would change and we would pay up front and be reimbursed by the insurance via mail, and in some cases it could be quicker or you would get more back than they would. Got my first reimbursement for simple preventative cleaning/X-rays and was responsible to pay over half of the $274 billed. Learned from my insurance that they left the network. Called Emigh dental and asked for clarification and was told they did in fact leave the network. Asked if they would at least reimburse me the disallowed charges (cost of service over what the insurance would allow) and they said no, and no other alternative was offered. I guess they don't care about keeping their existing patients.

When I called only two days prior to my scheduled appointment to request a different date, Emigh's front office (Elaine) delighted me by getting me in a day EARLIER! On this visit, I experienced a hygienist who had not worked on my mouth before. She did an excellent job. Just one more of many Emigh Dental Care practitioners who have been consistently gentle and effective for years. Dr. Pat was swell, as usual. Happily, there was no bad news for him to deliver! That has been typical since Emigh Dental Care helped me get my mouth to peak health many years ago. They have helped me to continuously improve it for many years since.

I saw Dr. Reel for pain/swelling in the gum around one of my front teeth. This tooth had had a root canal, post and crown many years ago. Dr. Reel was very nice and told me there was an infection and I needed to see an endodontist. I called the endodontist recommended by Emigh and was told the earliest appointment was almost three weeks out so I made an appointment for the following week with another endodontist I have seen in the past. I called Emigh Dental two days later to say the tooth felt very wobbly and was told it was just instability caused by the infection and would resolve when the infection was taken care of. Two days after that the crown and post fell out while I was eating. I almost swallowed it. I call Emigh Dental to see if I could get an emergency appt to have the tooth reseated while we figured out what to do next. The receptionist was very helpful and tried to squeeze me in, but all booked up for several days, sorry. When I went to the appointment with my own endodontist, she took one look at the x-ray and used a little pointer to show me "...there's decay here, here, and here. That's what's causing the problem and that's why the crown fell out. I don't think the tooth can be saved, you'll most likely need an implant. Didn't your dentist tell you this?" (No.) She also showed me where the post/crown in the adjacent tooth was in an earlier stage of the same deterioration and should be taken care of before it too went past the point of no return. No mention of this at Emigh. (To be fair, the endodontist did confirm an infection and prescribed antibiotics.) The endodontist was kind enough to cement the tooth in place temporarily so at least I don't have a glaring gap. The Emigh office is clean and the staff is polite, friendly, and professional, but I don't plan on getting any other dental work done there.

I won't say I enjoy going here, but that's because it's a dentist; but when I do have to visit one, I come here. Excellent staff and excellent dentist. I am very happy I was referred to them and I will continue to do the same for others. Give them a chance and you will be satisfied.

This review is specific to Covid times. Everyone was real nice and you can tell from the reviews they have a great practice going on. My dissatisfaction arises from the fact that I was charged an extra $20 free for Covid PPE... which is fine... however, they were also unable to do certain procedures (ie, polishing) due to the amount of saliva that's sprayed off. So you're paying more and getting less. I'm also not sure if I got the free $40 cancer screening for new patients. The dental tech that cleaned my teeth kinda just stopped and said "we're out of time, but we'll get the rest of that when you come back". That when the estimated time was 2 hours and I was out of there in about 1hr 15min. It's also annoying that they wouldn't let me schedule a deep cleaning for my first visit... but of course that's what they recommend for my follow up. I'm not sure if I'm interested in scheduling my follow up with Emigh. Definitely not until the Covid restrictions are eased and you can receive the full services they're charging you for.

I would like to thanks all doctors, nurses, and workers in this dental office for the great care they are doing. They are all marvelous people. I remember when I came here eight years ago to get my teeth fixed. Since then, when I go to any dental office, they get amazed and ask me where and who did the arranging on my teeth. I am planning to arrange an appointment with them when I come back to visit the state again for a check-up. Syhan, Thanks!
