I love orthodontics and the opportunity it gives me to change peoples lives. Whether people come to us wanting me to give them the smile they have always desired or allow them to chew their food better, I never get tired of seeing the end result.
I grew up in Broken Arrow and after graduating from high school, I attendedHarding Universityin Searcy, Arkansas, on an academic and football scholarship. While at Harding, I was lucky enough to meet my future wife, Amy, during our first semester. In 1996, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After teaching high school math and science for two years, I began my dental school training at theUniversity of Mississippi Dental Schoolin Jackson, Mississippi. I graduated with honors, receiving my Doctorate of Medical Dentistry in 2002. After dental school, Amy and I moved to New Orleans where I attended my orthodontic residency at theLouisiana State University School of Dentistry. In 2004, after two years of specialized training, I received my Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from LSU.
After graduation, we moved back to Oklahoma where I have had the pleasure of practicing orthodontics since 2004. I enjoy participating in mission trips including time spent in the Ukraine, Belize, Mexico, Honduras, and New Orleans. In Tulsa I am an active participant in many professional organizations including serving as the President of the Oklahoma Orthodontic Society.
I have been blessed with many things since moving back to Oklahoma, including living near my family, attending a dynamic church, and having four wonderful children. Best of all, Amy still takes good care of me when she is not doing her other job as a local pediatrician!
We love our jobs and one of the main reasons is the fun that we have with our patients. Each month we have a special day where we dress up and celebrate our patients having their appliances removed. We always have contests running and give-aways to thank your valued customers and make your experience with our office a wonderful memory. I got my braces took off months ago. & my bottom teeth is so spaced out. He should have definitely put permanent retainers on my bottom teeth. I paid way too much money , to have to get treatment again. Very unsatisfied with this service

Everyone greets you with a smile. We got a tour of the building, every thing that we discussed was easy for me and my daughter to understand. They considered her feelings and thoughts and gave us the best plan for her future. I would recommend them to anyone who needs dental work.

I recently completed Invisalign treatment and I am thrilled with the results! I highly recommend Dr. Emerson and staff, as they are all so friendly and knowledgeable. My only regret is not calling them sooner. I put off orthodontic work for years thinking it was out of my price range, or would be painful or inconvenient. The entire process could not have gone more smoothly. And now I'm more confident and actually smile in pictures! Thank you Emerson Orthodontics.

I was referred to Dr Emerson by several friends and family members when my daughter needed braces. She now has her braces off and my son is now in braces. Him and his entire staff are always helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I recommend him to everyone who is looking for an orthodontist.

Save your money. Incompetent, Liar, Mean, Loves to inflict pain. He says a tooth will go outward with this adjustment, and it goes inward. He says I know what you want, which was made clear from the beginning, and then, admits he is giving you the opposite of what you are wanting. After a year of crazy adjustments that made the teeth super lose, with only one adjustment that went well, then he reversed all the good to my horror in the next four visits. I had to pull off this insanity and hire someone to take off the wire because he didn't have an opening for two weeks to do a 60 second wire removal. He removed the brackets after the two weeks and it hurt like hell. Save your money.

I love that we can always count on Dr. Emerson and his staff to have my kids in the chair on time or even early sometimes. This is my second child and third year visiting them and I really can't think of a time that we have ever waited!! Thank you so much!

I went to Emerson Ortho when I was just turning 13, in order to get braces and straighten out my teeth. They kept me in the braces for around 2 and half years, and I got them off just before I turned 16. I still had an overbite when Dr. Emerson decided to take my braces off, but as I was so young, I didn't mind the overbite. It wasn't too noticeable from the outside, so I deemed it a cosmetic issue and didn't think anything of it; plus, if my Ortho is telling me my braces journey is complete, I'm inclined to believe him. It was only a few years later that I developed popping in my jaw. I am now 20 years old, and seeking treatments for my severe TMJ issues, and my current dentist says I will have to have braces again to correct the mistakes made back when I had braces as a teen. My teeth don't even touch on the left side because they were never brought down to meet my bottom teeth, leaving my jaw in a crooked, open position on the left, and a clenched position on the right, which is putting terrible strain on my jaw joints. When my dentist asked who my previous Ortho was, I said Emerson, and he literally shook his head and sighed. If you're just looking for straight teeth they'll do the job, but don't expect them to be thorough - they don't care about the long-term health of you or your teeth.
