He also uses this to technology for same day immediate placement and restorations of dental implants.
As a national lecturer to dental peers on Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry, Dr. Martini is regarded as an industry leader. He is Section Chief of Prosthodontics, a Member of the Board of Trustees, Clinical Instructor and lecturer at Hackensack University Medical Centers Department of Dentistry. He completed his specialty training in Prosthodontics at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine for patient management with IV and Nitrous Sedation. He has the unique advantage of training with the New York Department of Health as an Emergency Medical Technician. Hes consistently selected as a Top Dentist and is affiliated with numerous associations including the Bergen County Dental Society where he twice served as president.
The team at Emerson Dental Associates believe in the importance of preventative care. We focus on keeping patients in good oral health so that they can live a full, healthy, and enjoyable life that is free from oral pain. This starts by educating our patients on what they can do to stay healthy at home. In our family dentist office we recommend that patients eat a healthy diet that consists of green leafy vegetables, lean protein, nuts, dairy products, and crunchy fruits and veggies. Eating these foods along with drinking water can help to keep teeth healthy and make them stronger. By simultaneously reducing sugar intake, patients can also reduce their risk of cavities.
It is also important to brush and floss throughout the day. Instead of waiting for bedtime to brush teeth, carry a small toothbrush and use it after meals and snacks. This makes it possible to remove sugar and bacteria from the teeth and gums before it has the opportunity to turn into acid that can attack the teeth. This preventative step can greatly reduce a persons' risk of getting a cavity or gum disease. We understand the importance of taking these steps at home and will spend the time necessary to educate and inform patients so that they can stay healthy overall. A. Primary, or 'baby,' teeth are important for many reasons. Not only do they help children speak clearly and chew naturally, they also aid in forming a path that permanent teeth can follow when they are ready to come in.
A. First, rinse the irritated area with warm salt water and place a cold compress on the face if it is swollen. Give the child acetaminophen for any pain, rather than placing aspirin on the teeth or gums. Finally, see a dentist as soon as possible.
A. Sealants work by filling in the crevasses on the chewing surfaces of the teeth. This shuts out food particles that could get caught in the teeth, causing cavities. The application is fast and comfortable and can effectively protect teeth for many years.
A. Have your family dentist evaluate the fluoride level of your child's primary source of drinking water. If your child is not getting enough fluoride internally through water (especially if the fluoride level is deficient or if your child drinks bottled water without fluoride), then we may prescribe fluoride supplements.
A. Soft plastic mouthguards can be used to protect teeth, lips, cheeks and gums from sport related injuries. A custom-fitted mouthguard will protect your teeth from injuries and even provide protection from severe injuries to the head.
A. There is very little risk in dental X-rays. Family dentists are especially careful to limit the amount of radiation to which you and your family are exposed. Lead aprons and high-speed film are used to ensure safety and minimize the amount of radiation. Digital x-rays provide an even greater level of protection by using up to 90 percent less radiation.

My dentist that I have been going to for 25 years retired so This was my first time going to Dr. Martini. From the front desk to Dr Oliva and Dr. Martini this staff is welcoming and makes you comfortable the entire time. The exam was wonderful usually I feel pain during a cleaning I felt nothing I can't say enough good things about my experience at Emerson Dental Associates. Dolores at the front desk went the extra mile to explain my insurance benefits as well. Thank you all for a great visit.

From the receptionist to the doctor I had an amazing experience! The dental hygienist was very friendly and did a great job with the cleaning. She was thorough and detailed during the x-ray, cleaning process and had great recommendations. Dr. Martini was also very informative and thorough during the examination. He is charming, has good bedside manner, and professional...you know you're in the right place when hear "good job" for every x-ray taken!!!!..... Dr. Martini and his staff are the best! He is informative, professional, efficient and friendly. My last dentist was always doing too much to my teeth. Dr. Martini does what needs to be done; I don't feel taken advantage of as a patient/customer. My family and I have been going to Dr. Martini for about ten years and are very satisfied the with care he provides. Dr. Martini and his staff are friendly and professional but most import to me is the quality of his work. Before switching to Dr. Martini, I had been avoiding trips to a dentist and my teeth were not in the best of condition. I have since had two dental implants and several crowns. They all look and feel completely natural, I am pain free, and I can eat anything I choose. Now my visits are mostly for cleanings, and the occasional filling. I highly recommend Dr. Martini and his team to anyone looking for a new dentist.

No one likes going to the dentist less than me. Trust me on that. And it's not that I'm some kind of anti-dentite. Far from it. It's just that my teeth are what is technically known as a train wreck. Combine bad genetics with a propensity to land on my face in almost any circumstance. I bet I could even chip a tooth on cotton candy. The fact that I have any teeth still in my head at all is solely the credit of Dr. Martini and his wonderful staff. He's fixed me up more times than I can count. Plus, not only does ne know how to make an appointment, he knows how to keep an appointment. Minimal wait, get right in, fixed up, cleaned and polished, and all done with a smile. Highly recommend.
