Dr. Katz graduated from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, with an undergraduate degree in psychology and chemistry. He went on to receive a degree in dentistry from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey and has been practicing in Emerson ever since 1985.
Dr. Katz is an active member of the Bergen County Dental Society, the New Jersey Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Hes also a fellow with the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.
Dr. Katz has taken hundreds of continuing education courses and is certified in BIOLASE laser technology, Invisalign orthodontics, advanced endodontics, advanced periodontics, implant restorative procedures, and advanced esthetic dentistry and smile design.

I love this office, all the staff and the new doc is amazing. I was nervous when Dr Katz retired but I can honestly say Dr Farinas is amazing, I love everything about her and her style of dentistry. She was super gentle, always asking me if I was ok and I could tell she genuinely enjoys what she does. I highly recommend Dr Farinas!!!!

The moment you walk in to the office they welcome you.Dr Katz and Dr Farinas are the most amazing dentists with great personalities and they do meticulous job. This practice is fair priced and they take ownership of their work. When I need emergency visit, instead of saying we don't have any appointments available today like many practices, they say when can you come .Diana from the office will make sure you'll get your appointment , you're problem is resolved and she will take care of all your insurance approvals. If you need a new dental practice I highly recommend this office. From office staff to doctors they are so professional, helpful and friendly.

I have been going to see Dr katz for the past three years and been extremely happy with my dental work. The staff is professional and friendly. They have a new dentist Dr Farinas she is fantastic . I highly recommend this place for pain free dentistry.

I had a great experience at Dr Katz and D Farinas dental office. They fixed an issue that I've had for quite sometime. While other dental offices only gave very expensive options to solve my problem, Dr Farinas came up with a cost effective solution that fixed the problem right away. I'm very happy with the results. Everybody is very nice and professional. It was my first time at the dental office and I'm definitely going back in 6 months for my cleaning/check up. I highly recommend it.

Dr. Farina and the staff makes sure you are very comfortable through out the whole experience. The office is very inviting and welcoming. From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave you feel very comfortable and assured of all the work done.

I have been having a problem with a tooth for a few years. I had made many visits to my dentist (not Dr. Katz) and he kept telling me there was no issue. I asked a good friend of mine if she knew a good dentist and she HIGHLY recommended Dr. Katz. She said he was knowledgeable and patient. She was right on the money!! He did not see an issue using the x-ray, but he listened to me explain what has been going on and decided to dig deeper by sending me for a set of specialized pictures. These revealed what I had originally thought. I had an infection that needed to be addressed right away. He painlessly took care of my tooth and I am SOOOOO grateful. I was having such anxiety about it for so long that I was not sleeping. Dr. Katz listened to me and went the extra mile to make sure the situation was taken care of. After the procedure, he called to check on me and make sure everything was going well. The office support staff is equally as kind and professional. They make you feel welcome. The office itself is also amazing. It is calming and comfortable, like you are at a spa. I too HIGHLY recommend Dr. Katz and his office team. Best Dentist & team EVER!!!!

I was very apprehensive about visiting the dentist as I had some unpleasant experiences in the past. However, everyone in Dr. Katz office was so friendly and put me at ease the minute I sat down in the chair. They reassured me and made sure I was ok throughout the entire process. I left their office saying I love the dentist! I am looking forward to going back soon!

10/10 would recommend. The staff is so friendly and beyond accommodating. I've been seeing Dr. Katz for about a year now and every visit brightens up my day. Diana works the front and is the sweetest person to start and end your visit with. While Joette who assists Dr. Katz continues to make the visit funny and enjoyable. A+ team !!! Dr. Katz did some major work that I needed, and saved me from an expensive dental Procedure by restoring two decayed teeth of mine. He was able to recover the health of my teeth, and give me a beautiful new smile with amazing porcelain crowns. Even though this is the beginning stage of temporaries, I couldn't be more pleased with his work , professionalism and support doing a 3 hour procedure. They look so good. Thank you again for giving me a new smile and confidence. You're the best! Also, his dental assistant Joette was absolutely incredible. I will call them the Dynamic Duo. I can't wait to have family and friends use DR Katz as their primary dentist. Much love !

I Had extensive dental work done. Was truly an amazing experience. Entire procedure was painless & flawless. Temporary crowns looked beautiful, permanent crowns were perfectly matched & Dr Katz and co did their utmost to ensure that my smile was as beautiful as can be, and all this with a pleasant demeanor & fun conversation. Great dental office and amazing staff! Dr. Katz is extremely knowledgeable and professional and works with his patients to achieve a healthy smile. Communication with front desk is amazing, the best I've experience and I've been to too many dentist due to moving around. Office is clean and inviting.
