Emergency Dental Care USA - General dentist in Seattle, WA

For over 20 years weve helped thousands of people with toothaches, chipped teeth and all sorts of other dental emergencies get the care they need without the wait. In most cases our emergency dentists can diagnose patients and perform treatment on the same-day.

We accept several forms of payment, and have financing options available to those who qualify. We accept most dental insurance on indemnity basis (we help our patients file a claim on their behalf), and have many patients return for non-emergency dental care.

I had an appointment today at 9 AM for the emergency that I booked yesterday. The office confirmed with me that the appointment is set the morning of however when I get here nobody is there nobody's answering the phone calls and I had to text them via Google chat that point920 AM. They tell me that the office had to unexpectedly close what's more disturbing is no one contacted me. Very unprofessional.

Visiting in town and I guess the pressure from the plane ride sent the nerve in my tooth into chaos mode. Had an emergency route canal done, part of it anyway. My insurance wasn't covered here but they gave me options of how we could go about it. Very professional throughout the whole process and explained everything thoroughly. I don't always leave reviews but felt inclined to do it for them. The Doctor along with the nursing staff were great!

I had to come to emergency dental care when my regular dentist was closed for holiday and I had a tooth infection that couldn't wait. My initial impression of the office was okay, it's pretty run down inside, paint cracking, water stains on the chairs and walls but I really didn't care that much. The front desk was not at all friendly, the dentist ran late for every appointment I had. He was nice enough, I'm sure it's stressful being an emergency dentist. But he was constantly late, the last visit it was an hour and 20 minutes. Communication is so poor, my appointments were all rescheduled several times for different reasons, one time I was told was because they scheduled me on a day that the dentist didn't work, one time was because he took the day off and didn't see I was on the books? I understand these things happening some times, but 4 or 5 times was ridiculous, especially since I had to go in late or take the day off from work. The front desk would schedule me for appointments and then I'd come in and say I wasn't on the books, my last visit I was told my appointment was at 11 (by the office manager) then the front desk woman told me it was actually at 1030?!? They were so unorganized it was pretty infuriating. The dentist was pretty rough and was always in a rush, but was nice at times. The dental assistant Sarah was the only good part of every visit. She was so kind, patient, warm and really acted like she gave a s*&t. It was extremely expensive (at no fault of their own) but the staff constantly could never give me the correct amount I was actually owed, on my first visit they thought I was only getting an extraction, when actually I was getting a full bridge. To be told it was $300 at first, and then 10 minutes later be told it was actually 6k+ was pretty shocking. I'm not blaming the company for their costs, it's more the front desk unable to communicate. I honestly hope I never, ever have to go back. It was unprofessional and stressful.

Unfortunately my experience at emergency dental care USA was a solid one star. I needed an emergency crown due to tooth trauma that resulted in a broken tooth. When I arrived I was in a lot of pain. The price was high (5x the cost of my dentist) but I agreed. Half way into the procedure the dentist was no longer around, as he was literally playing guitar and singing in a room directly behind my treatment room. And he continued for a long time (hour +). Meanwhile an assistant worked on my tooth for roughly an hour, and the dentist never came back to check. While a dentist playing music during a procedure may be cool and fine, leaving the patient for all of this time with an assistant and never checking the quality of the work throughout or at the end, was really not okay - especially given the very high price and after procedure defects and nonstop pain ever since this procedure was complete. During the procedure I kept having my airway blocked by gauze and literally could barely breath. Whenever I mentioned this, it was disregarded and continued without change. There was also no air conditioning in the clinic - everyone was hot including the staff. After I left and the pain medicine wore off I found a large amount of dried cement on the tooth that was jagged and totally missed by the assistant. Pain began immediately and continued 24/7 for close to a month. Finally when the permanent crown came in I called 15+ times to schedule the crown installation with no call backs ever. When I finally reached the clinic and scheduled a time and arrived, the front desk staff was so unkind. In fact while I was in pain and waiting for the procedure they refused to even let me quickly use the restroom as I was about to begin the procedure - saying I would have to use a restroom at an adjacent building - 5 floors up. Since they have a convenient restroom in the clinic that they allowed use of before, this was a shock. Have you ever been to a dentist who refused use of a restroom? I definitely have not. The front desks response was "well they should have never let you use it in the first place" which was said in an angry and frustrated tone. Given the overall experience I asked to be called by a manager and left without completing service (it's not very reassuring to have your teeth worked on when the clinic staff are so argumentative and seemingly angry), plus given the prior experience and awful post care service, it was truly time to run). They didn't care I was leaving and just said I still had to pay. I called and text their support line and the clinic itself roughly 20+ times over several weeks and was promised call backs which never came (i reported my concerns about quality of care etc., no one ever called back). I ended up going to my regular dentist to complete the job (he had to start over), and there was so much cleanup to do on the very painful tooth. All is well now and I will never go back to this clinic ever again. I would rather endure the pain and wait for my clinic to open in case of emergency. The clinic continues to bill me for work not completed as well (the permanent crown was never installed). And of course, they refuse to even discuss this (no call backs, ever). Live and learn. **update: it's been a few days since this review and the office manager called. It was a pleasant call and she seemed genuinely concerned with my experience. Based on this I am raising the star rating from 1 to 2. There is no positive outcome to be achieved but acknowledgement of the issues is a plus. **update: no positive outcome achieved other than the office calling me as a result of the review (prior to this totally non responsive for weeks). They continue to chase payment. If they had not called me it would still be one star.

I had a scooter accident and knocked one of my front teeth out and split my lip badly. My tooth cam out whole and un broken. so we grabbed the tooth and put it in milk and rushed to Emergency Dental Care USA. Immediately upon entering the office the dental assistant Lin Qu got me in the char and told me it would be ok, she was so empathetic that even though she was prepping me for x-rays I felt much better. Being a person who experiences significant anxiety around dental work, Lin Qu's comfort made this the best dental work experience of my life. Dr. Talbot expertly stitched my lip back together and re-implanted my tooth and applied a splint to hold the tooth in place while it healed. If you ever have a dental emergency I highly recommend you head into Emergency Dental Care USA ASAP, you will be in good hands.

I was debating between two and three stars, but decided to go with two. The negative reviews here are TRUTH! I should have listened to them before I went in. Oh well, lesson learned. I went in with gum /tooth pain and saw Dr. Atwood. He seemed clueless at first like I was his first patient ever. There was a huge language barrier between myself and the dental assistant. I could barely understood a word she said. Dr. Atwood finally identified I had some filling resin that should be shaved down and he would do a sensitivity treatment. BUT THEN, the incident happened that is making me give two stars. While I was getting paperwork done which took me all of five minutes, he decided to go on a CONFERENCE CALL FOR THIRTY MINUTES! THIRTY MINUTES! I was the ONLY patient in the office. Like, hello, I'm in pain here and your chatting it up with one of your colleagues. Totally unprofessional and unethical in my opinion. The receptionists apologized to me multiple times. One of the receptionists finally went to the back and demanded he treat me. She told me to voice my opinion and that is why I wrote this review. Although, I was treated and the treatment seems to be working (for now), it was one of the utmost unprofessional dental offices I have ever stepped into, especially Dr. Atwood. If you can avoid this clinic and go to a different emergency dental clinic, I highly recommend it! Also, their prices are VERY HIGH They take full advantage of being an emergency clinic. Even if you have insurance you have to pay an exam fee. AVOID IF YOU CAN! The staff were nice, Dr. Atwood was unprofessional.

I had and emergency dental extraction at EDC USA yesterday. I was a nervous wreck. Dr.Atwood, Hygienist Heriko, (Hope I got that right),And the kind receptionist were all wonderful. They patiently listened to my concerns, and answered my many...many questions. As far as payment, it was MUCH overall easier on the bank account than I thought. Turns out the office didn't accept my plan exactly BUT they honored the fee that I would have had paid had they accepted i which amounted to several hundred dollars off(!!!) The dreaded injection which is usually the biggest issue for me- Absolutely painless. Dr Atwood took his time, and went slowly, and they waited long enough for the shot to take total effect before proceeding. The extraction itself also painless albeit for pressure that Heriko throughly explained beforehand, and took two minutes if that, and done. I was so relieved. Best dental visit in a very very long time. I feel SO much better today- minimal swelling and my jaw is not all beat up from aggressive injection needleing in the beginning. This dental crew is outstanding in every way 10/5 stars all the way. They were kind when I needed it, and that was everything.

This is the worst place to come for a dental emergency. They make you pay $95 upfront and you'll have to make another payment for treatment. I was waiting for a good hour and a half before the assistant took me back. Then I'd have to wait another 30 for the doctor to come in for the exam. The lady at the front desk was so rude. Horrible experience not to mention I was already in excruciating pain. They had no urgency at all. They don't even give you the privacy of discussing payments. Do not come here.

They don't accept Medicaid and expected me to pay out of pocket. Like how are you going to be an EMERGENCY CLINIC and not take GOVERNMENT INSURANCE???

Dr Abbot does not do a good job of explaining things. Getting the info of what was actually going on w my situation was like pulling teeth (pun intended).

After being in excruciating pain and from a dental procedure I had done in Arizona, I stumbled upon this place while I was mid-flight on my way to Seattle for what was the beginning of a 2wk vacation. By the time I landed, the pain was a high 10. After my initial consultation with Dr. Atwood I felt that I was in good hands. Side note, I'm always super apprehensive with any provider regardless of their specialty. Even though they did not take my insurance, I felt that my next move was a must. I ended up getting my #15 molar pulled as my personal dentist started a root canal without my knowledge, didn't finish it, and put a temporary cap on it. I felt that Dr. Atwood was extremely knowledgeable and honest with me about what was going on and what my next options were. During the entire time I was under Dr. Atwoods care, he reassured me that I was in control of what was going on and that every decision made was on me. I'm very grateful for Dr. Atwood and his assistant Sara as they got me back up and running immediately following the procedure. My pain had minimized from a 10 to 3ish. And, I was able to complete my 2wk vacation pain free. I absolutely recommend even if your insurance isn't accepted and you have the means to pay for your services.

Unbelievably efficient operation. I was in a great deal of pain and they scheduled me to come in immediately to the downtown Seattle location. Staff was super friendly, professional and compassionate. I had my tooth extracted within an hour or so of my arrival. Once the Novocaine wore off a few hours later I called them to see if they would call in a script for something stronger than what I was initially given and they did. Thank you Emergency Dental Care USA

I just woke up crying and screaming with my entire lower jaw hurting so bad. The dentist at the end of our consult I pointed out one more tooth I'm having a problem with. He took one his tools flipped it upside down and banged on my tooth HARD and then on 5 more to "see we're the pain was coming from". Very rude dentist. And the fee is NOT 95 dollars. That's for one exray of one tooth and the doctor to tell you what he sees on that one tooth. It's 150. And if you need to have your wisdom teeth removed you would be completely awake and aware..just numbing of the area. After he banged on my teeth like that with a upside down tool my pain has been insane. Also the women that did my x rays barley spoke English and put the exray tool in my mouth and then accidentally hitting it with the exray machine 3 times..so painful! Also they did not even get a exray of what I came in for she could not get my wisdom teeth in a exray. She said she would "try" but missed? I'm so upset about this entire experience.

Friendly staff. Dr. Atwood was very knowledgeable. Procedure was quick but a little tricky to remove. A no-frills room environment. Overall Good Experience. Parking in parking garages within a couple blocks, so drive your small car and add 15min to your a arrival time to find parking, or Uber.

The whole staff were wonderful to work for. I went in for an emergency care and it was quite possibly the best wisdom tooth extraction I've had so far! It was best out of 3 and I'll definitely go back if I need a 4th. They listened to my concerns and did everything they could to address them. I felt well cared for and set up for a successful recovery.

Made an appointment online for an emergency root canal. The site confirmed the appointment. When I showed up the office was closed. Someone called and rescheduled the appointment for two hours later. I waited in so much pain. After the second appointment time slipped by I got a call saying no one was coming. I ended up going to a great dentist far south. DONT GO HERE! Who does that!?
