Emergency Dental Care USA - General dentist in Portland, OR

For over 20 years weve helped thousands of people with toothaches, chipped teeth and all sorts of other dental emergencies get the care they need without the wait. In most cases our emergency dentists can diagnose patients and perform treatment on the same-day.

We accept several forms of payment, and have financing options available to those who qualify. We accept most dental insurance on indemnity basis (we help our patients file a claim on their behalf), and have many patients return for non-emergency dental care.

Extremely nice office staff and very Patient and kind dental staff. I am an absolute horror to work on due to bad past experiences at other dentist offices which causes serious anxiety. This was an emergency that could not wait another minute and they got me in same day within the hour on a Sunday morning. Thank you so much for making this as quick and painless as possible!

Emergency dental was able to schedule me right away for a root canal and crown. They worked with my insurance and charged me much less than other dental offices had quoted me, and were able to bring the ASAP when others said it would take months for the work to get done. As I am terrified of needles, they worked with me too stay comfortable and manage through it, and they also gave me extra numbing to get through the surgery without pain. I had a great experience and that is saying a lot for a dental visit.

Update October: Still no refund. I have been told that it is in process at corporate office for over a month. When I asked for the corporate office phone number today they would not provide it. The dental service that I received at the beginning of July was excellent- I would actually give it 5 stars. The service I have received regarding my account and refund, however, has been nearly non-existent. I left two voicemails and sent 3 emails regarding a refund after my insurance had paid their portion. Phone calls and emails were not returned. When I did speak to someone, they said they were processing the insurance payment, and if I had overpaid, I would be issued a refund. One week later I received an invoice that did not reflect what I had already paid on the day of service and an additional amount due. I did speak to someone regarding the error and was told it would be returned to accounting and it would be 30 - 60 days to issue me a refund. Very frustrating, as I am owed approximately $300. I wish someone had simply returned my phone calls or emails so this could have been managed differently.

I was petrified that I needed emergency filings. Haven't been to the dentist since COVID. They were great. While I don't need any emergency services, they directed me to where I need to go.

This is my second extraction at this office. It's a small place with professional, kindly people. They will sign you up with a care credit if you can't pay out of pocket. Beware the ruinous interest rates. 10/10 would get bones yanked out of my cranium here again. (Seriously, no insurance? Go here. They're great.)

Don't bother. Your in pain & so what. Leave a message. So not an emergency place. And so in pain I keep looking. At Health Department on 34th some people that answer the phone ONLY care about the job, themselves, call back tomorrow not caring that people have lives, even jobs or that were in pain, not helpful at all except unto HERSELF. Than hangs up on people.

Do not go to this dentist, they will scam you and your insurance company. I went to Portland Emergency Dental USA last August two times for emergency appointments. They were out of network but assured me that once my insurance got back to them about my claims, they would refund me for what I paid out of pocket. It has been almost a year now of trying to get ahold of them and I have yet to get that refund. The Portland office (and their corporate office) will not answer phone calls from me or my insurance company, and they filed multiple claims from one day of service under different codes (according to my insurance). You would be better off finding any other dentist or emergency care service than to go to the Portland Emergency Dental Care USA.

So I had set up a appointment and they were closed the Memorial Day week. For a whole week. They do offer a payment plan outside source I have a 650 credit score. I was denied. I needed a tooth extraction. I paid the 95 dollars for a xray. I paid in cash 100 they didn't have change so I didn't receive any money back. It was only 5 bucks. But they wanted $459 dollars for a tooth extraction money up front. I asked for a copy of my xray and got a standard paper copy from their copy machine. I wish I wouldn't have waited for a week to be seen by this place.

They are super professional and we're very informative about every step throughout the procedure. They did a great job at keeping me calm the entire time as I am not a huge fan of going to the dentist. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs a dentist quickly without an appointment.

I came in to get a filling and also a root canal. Out of pocket my expenses came to a total of $673 and my insurance covered the rest of the amount . Among beginning my filling , the dental assistant didn't understand any of the commands from the dentist , which resulted in the filling having to be done multiple times, unnecessary pain , blood all over my clothes , in my ear , on my neck etc . They argued for most of the process , also broke the chair while I had a tool in my mouth and at that point I didn't feel comfortable going through with the root canal that day so I rescheduled and then ultimately got terrified and decided I wanted a refund and would get it done elsewhere. That was on march 18th , it is now April 21st and I have no refund , nobody answers the phone and the companies regional manager said they would make a DECISION about a refund with 120 days . When I told them that was unacceptable, I was given an admin number, no answer, no callback . DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM . You will regret it .

Been having pain in two of my molars for weeks, but had to postpone making an appointment. Finally contacted these guys with a question regarding dental anxiety, and was answered via text. Made the appointment via text and showed up, only to find that the office was closed. I received no communication whatsoever.

The doctor and staff were insanely amazing!! I was in an immense amount of pain due to extractions done by another office and they were very willing to go above and beyond to make sure I left with minimal pain. I highly recommend this office!

Giving a 5 but will change if anything comes up. Bf is getting an extraction right now $30 with insurance for an evaluation and xray for that one side $50 for whole mouth. Extraction was $300. They got us in fast we called at 230 and had an appt at 4pm on a Friday! He was in unbearable pain and the staff has been super nice so far and I can hear them talking in the back, it's calm and reassuring. Happy we came here instead of the place we were going to go, who were very rude.

I had to have two extractions and was so scared about going to the dentist due to terrible experiences before. I can say that Dr. Langdon was amazing, honest and kind. The dental assistants were phenomenal. The dental assistant (I wish I remembered her name) and Dr. Langdon talked me through every step and gave me words of encouragement along the way. This experience has made me realize that there are great dentists out there and Dr. Langdon is one of them. If you need emergency work done this is the place to do it! Thank you to everyone in the office. You all are truly one of a kind.
