Emergency Dental Care USA - General dentist in Denton, TX

For over 20 years weve helped thousands of people with toothaches, chipped teeth and all sorts of other dental emergencies get the care they need without the wait. In most cases our emergency dentists can diagnose patients and perform treatment on the same-day.

We accept several forms of payment, and have financing options available to those who qualify. We accept most dental insurance on indemnity basis (we help our patients file a claim on their behalf), and have many patients return for non-emergency dental care.

I was haveing horrendous tooth pain for a while. I couldn't take it anymore, so I made an appointment here. Making an appointment was easy online. I went in a Saturday at 10am. The office staff was very nice. All of the dental assistants and the dentist himself were very nice. I had three extractions. They were $540 each because they were complicated, one tooth was broken and crumbly, one tooth was broken to the gum level. The third tooth shouldn't have been special, in my opinion. It was afflicted from a case of root resorption. I just wanted relief from the pain so I went for it. I really would have liked some real pain medicine for afterwards since it was THREE extractions. I'm not a doper, I just know I need more than 50mg of Diclofenac. Aside from that, the dentist was great! I particularly appreciated the dental assistant. I have REALLY bad dentist anxiety. She helped me feel calm and was very compassionate.

I feel somewhat bad writing this review because everyone (except the dentist) was kind and likely well-intentioned. However--staff at this location needs training on how to be normal around people with disabilities. Location was blasting Christian worship music when I arrived. I was anxious and in pain and this didn't help. This ended up raising my blood pressure quite a bit while waiting in the lobby. I received a lecture for this, as well as unsolicited medical advice as I use a mobility aid to get around. Was literally asked if I'd ever tried yoga to "fix it" with someone's fingers in my mouth. Not a good experience lol. The dentist seemed irritated that I was there and dismissive to my pain, despite me having "major decay" (his words) and impacted teeth. Also, realized as I was leaving that the exam room's blinds had been open and literally anyone passing by on the street had an unobstructed view into the treatment room. Joy. Overall wish I had skipped this one and found a normal dentistry office in the morning.

Staff is as friendly as can be, and Dr Champsi is a dental wizard. He explains everything in basic terms that you can understand everything going on, he cares about your comfort, he's quick, and he just knows what he's doing. I always thought my front teeth were immune to Novocain based off of excruciating previous dentist experiences, but it it just turns out there's an extra nerve you have to numb. He knew right away what the issue was without even thinking about it, and pulling my tooth was immensely quicker than the other dentist that pulled one of my molars. There probably are much cheaper options, but for walk in's? The service doesn't get any better than this.

Avoid this scam dentist at all cost. They are out for one thing and that's to rip off customers. They will overcharge you and will not refund money owed. We have been trying to get our refund from them for over 6 months and they continue to make excuses and we still don't have our money. They never return phone calls and place all the blame on someone named Erica in Omaha that can't be reached. They have numerous complaints on the BBB website from people that have all had the same experience. Unless you want to lose money, don't ever go to this office!

My wife needed to go to emergency dentist due to her suffering a bad Toothache. So, we call Emergency Dental Care USA. We had set up a 12:30 pm appointment and by the next day my wife wanted to go sooner due to the increased pain. So, we contacted Emergency Dental Care USA, they were nice enough to respond to us to come on in at 10am. So, once we arrived there the lady behind the desk/wall was rude from the start, I let her know that we have filled out some paperwork that Emergency Dental Care USA website recommended to get my wife in quickly to take care of her tooth pain. We walk in and the Lady says I need her ID & the Insurance card also sign her in! I am trying to pull out my wife ID and the lady repeats sign her in. I said please give me a min here trying to get the ID. I then took rest of the paperwork and filled them out, and then she asked for my insurance card. I gave her my insurance information, however my new insurance has not assigned me a ID (Membership #). Lady says this is not your Dental insurance, at this point I am not in the mood to argue with granny. So, I reached in my wallet and used my old Dental insurance from last employer (2 weeks ago), she takes the card I sit back down trying to make my wife feel better (nothing I can do for a Toothache). 5 mins later lady says we don't take this, you can pay up front and have the insurance reimburse you. We at this point were done here. No understanding, empathy or any effort to help address my wife tooth pains. )))))))) I do not recommend them! (((((((( what a pathetic response you offer. Our community already knows what type of poor level service you offer. We went somewhere else with much better service. FYI new patient but left this dentist office,

Just returned from the best dental visit in my 60 years of living. I thought I was headed for a root canal or extraction, and this magical doctor was able to make a filling work for me instead. All the staff members were fantastic. No pressure. They take Care Credit@12 months no interest. I got in to see them first thing the morning after I made a night call. 9-9, 365, they are there for me. $400 for a complicated filling with plenty of anesthtic. I could not be more pleased.

I'm so thankful that places like this exist. I have had way to much work on my back molar. All that money spent only for whatever work other prior dentist did to fall out and fail. I was just over it when it started hurting again. I wanted it out! They showed me alternatives but didn't try to glam it up or sales pitch me. They let it be my choice. Everyone was sweet but I so loved the dental hygienist. I forgot to catch her name. You just tell them your problem, choose your option, pay and go on about your business. I had an extraction. Words can not explain the gratitude of finding somewhere where I could afford to pay upfront and get it out. Please support businesses like this who are here to help you and not just trying to penny pinch you to death. If we get left with only mainstream dental offices, we all will be screwed.

Excellent service! They got me in same day (within 1 hour!!) and accurately diagnosed what was going on, and squeezed me in at the same time for a needed root canal! Dr. Spurgeon did a great job with the procedure and my pain was almost 100% alleviated that night! 10/10 would recommend!!

Unless you absolutely cannot wait to see your regular dentist I would not recommend. Like others have said, the front office lady was so sweet and very pleasant. I went in because I was having pain in one tooth. When I got there I told the doctor that I was not sure it' if it was my tooth hurting or a sinus infection making it hurt but I was starting with the tooth. I had no swelling of my gums and hot and cold didn't bother it. This particular tooth already has a root canal done on it so there should have been no reason it was hurting. When the doctor came in the first thing he tried to do was tell me that I needed total reconstruction of my mouth because my alignment was bad and that all my crowns needed to be replaced. He hadn't even looked at my X-ray yet and once he did, he proceeded to tell me that i needed to have that root canal redone and a new crown put on which was going to be over $4000. And even then he wouldn't know if that would fix the problem.... He also gave me two other options all of which were over $2000 each. I'm not sure how you can say it needs 3 different things and not know which one will fix it. In the end, I had him adjust that tooth so that I wasn't hitting the bottom tooth and possibly causing the issue. This 10 minute visit ended up costing me $300 for a procedure that not only didn't work, but that was also not the problem. It was actually a severe sinus infection that was causing the tooth pain. It's sad that because someone is in so much pain they feel as though they can take advantage of you. I feel bad for people that don't know any better and possibly would have done the root canal.

Tried for 4 days to get my infected teeth pulled. All I received from the other offices i went to was a bill for the consult and an offer for teeth cleaning. Finally called the emergency dentist in Denton at 2:30 on a Friday and was in the chair by 5:30. If you need a quality dentist in a hurry, you would be doing yourself a favor by calling these guys first. The staff is not just nice but they actually care.

The staff is amazing and helpful. I was in a ton of pain and they got me in for extractions the same day. The Dr spent a lot of time getting me numb as possible and making sure I felt as little pain as possible. The nurse was very calming and sweet! The receptionist was so nice and explain the process completely and took care of my insurance claim! I would definitely recommend!
