As the son of two educators, learning has been a staple in my life and something that I love. I hold degrees in dental surgery and orthodontics in my native Colombia and in the United States from following universities:
We feel very fortunate to have Dr. Juan Carlos Hernandez joining Embrace Orthodontics. Dr. Hernandez is a certified Doctor of Dental Surgery born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. He attended New York University, where he attended the advanced Dentistry Program, earning his Dental Doctor Surgeon Degree in 2007. He also trained in Orthodontics and Dento-Facial Orthopedics in the International Program at the same school.
After graduating from NYU, Dr. Hernandez joined the US Army active-duty service to practice dentistry at the Fort Stewart Army Base. In 2010, he moved to Atlanta where he practiced Advance Dentistry at his private practice. At the same time, he joined the Georgia National Guard where he has been a Dental Officer since 2010 until today. He is very proud to serve the Army of the United States of America.
Dr. Hernandez is a Fellow of the American Academy of General Dentistry and Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is Fluent in both English and Spanish and welcomes new patients of all ages.
My hobbies are running and soccer! I am an officer at The Georgia National Guard and I served before in The US Army. My passion is orthodontics and learning new techniques to serve my patients better!

I started off as a Certified Dental Assistant, followed by continuing my education for Orthodontics and grew my knowledge into becoming the Office Manager bringing a diverse work background to the practice. I am fluent in both Spanish and English. I love working with patients and their parents to help achieve their dream smile. I was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. I love spending time with my family on the weekends. My kids Ali and Tani are a very important part of my life.
Hello, my name is Roza and I have been in the orthodontic industry since 2003 and with Dr. Cardenas since 2007. I am the clinical coordinator of the practice. I am responsible for assistant training, ordering, and operatory flow. I am also the resident specialist in infection control procedures, conducting the annual review in prevention of cross-contamination and OSHA regulations. I am honored to be involved in the intricate process of orthodontics and love to watch the transformation of smiles. I am originally from Rivine, Ukraine, and speak Ukrainian, Russian and English. I enjoy reading and traveling.

Hi, Im Milo. I was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 20th, 2019. I flew from Detroit on August 2019 to meet my forever family who I love immensely. My sisters Camila and Laura spoil me all the time. My brother Santi loves to play catch with me. My favorite pass time is to chew on my Mommys shoes. Mommy and daddy make sure I have eaten all my food every day! Hi, Im Kobi. I am a proud second generation Asian- American. My dad immigrated from Nepal and my mom, from China many years ago. I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. I joined the practice of Dr. Cardenas in 2017 because I love to communicate and make people smile! I love to travel the world, learning new languages, reading, running and hiking. My favorite food is my moms bamboo salad and all kind of fruits, but berry biscuits are my weakness. I would like to visit some relatives in the Himalayan Mountains in the next years to know more about the culture of my ancestors.
