Dr. Mariano pursued both his Doctor of Dental Medicine and his post-doctoral training in prosthodontics from the Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston. His thorough training ahs provided him with the expertise to offer comprehensive treatments of the highest quality, backed by advanced education in the field of dentistry and specifically in prosthodontics.
Dr. Mariano has achieved the status of a board-certified prosthodontist one of only roughly 1,000 in the Untied States! He has been focusing exclusively on this specialty since 1984, and he even continues his relationship with the Tufts School of Dental Medicine as an assistant clinical professor in postgraduate prosthodontics. In this role, he shares his knowledge with both students and faculty. Additionally, as a member and past president of the non-profit foundation Tufts Prosthodontics Alumni Charitable Organization, Inc., he is 100% dedicated to supporting this important training at the school.
He is also very active in his local dental society, having served as chairman of the Valley District Dental Society Education Committee since 1992. He is responsible for bringing internationally recognized clinicians from around the world to Massachusetts for various dental education programs.
Dr. Emirzians father, Dr. A.A. Emirzian, practiced for more than 40 years in Springfield, MA. After graduating from dental school, she chose to work alongside him. Over the years, her practice gradually evolved from his and eventually became the foundation for EMA Dental!
Dr. Emirzian completed her undergraduate degree at Springfield College. She then went on to pursue her Doctor of Dental Medicine at the Tufts School of Medicine in Boston. Today, shes proud to share her talents with colleagues by teaching and lecturing on esthetic dentistry. She also serves on the faculty at Tufts University as an Assistant Clinical Professor, teaching students in the Advanced Esthetic Program.
Dr. Emirzian is proud to be one of only approximately 100 active members of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, which is an elite organization dedicated to promoting the integration of dental esthetics in the total spectrum of oral healthcare. She is additionally a Fellow of the International College of Dentists and a proud member of the American Association of Women Dentists, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Valley District Dental Society.

Vincent Mariano was disrespectful and unhelpful. I asked him to restate an unclear statement that he made about insurance, and he asked me how old I was, for no discernable reason, other than to ridicule me I suppose. Earlier in the consultation (which lasted 10 minutes and cost $128), he asked me how I knew the word "prosthodontist," which struck me as an attempt to belittle me. Not sure why he would behave like this towards anyone, let alone a potential patient. One of my least favorite interactions with another human being. I don't care to return here.

Not very helpful. Not to mention a bit disrespectful. I asked Dr. Mariano to restate an unclear statement that he made about insurance, and he gave me sass. Unfortunately, this seems to be typical behavior for most doctors in my experience. They also took an x-ray that they didn't need to take (they had recent ones from my previous dentist), and then charged me for it. I don't care to return here.

My life has been filled with injuries and sometimes those injuries come back to haunt me. Most notably, I recently had a tooth that had been capped fall out. My two front teeth were cut in half due to a head on collision with a drunk driver when I was 19 years old and now I needed someone to recement one back on. Because I'm disabled I have a fixed income and my dental coverage is minimal. I called my insurance to see where I could go to have it fixed and be covered under my insurance. Unfortunately when I got to the office they no longer took my insurance. I was obviously upset but even though I couldn't afford it I decided to have it done anyway. I had to get it done as speaking with a lisp was a little embarrassing. As a new patient I was assigned to Dr. Worsely and I told him "my story," and he began my examination and procedure. As he worked on the tooth, out of nowhere, I broke down and started to cry. Something inside me triggered & I think I had some kind of PTSD from the car accident and having him work on that tooth brought those memories to the surface out of my subconscious. It is rare to have a doctor react the way Dr. Worsley did. He was kind, soothing, understanding and extremely compassionate. Nothing like I've ever seen before and I have seen many, many,doctors in my lifetime. He made me feel cared for, was patient and truly listened. We all have these horror stories of doctors who treat us poorly, and treat us more like a number instead of a human being. I wanted to make sure that the public knew that this doctor was "different" and as I called him when I was there, a "Dental Angel" I wish more doctors were like Dr. Worsley. Bravo Dr. ! and thank you so much!

Over the weekend I had some pretty bad tooth pain. I called around 8 in the morning when they opened and asked if they could see me because of the severe pain. The receptionist was very nice over the phone and helpful and also informed me that I could come in for 8:45. The staff was extremely professional and seemed like they were spot-on. After the examination they even helped me find a place locally that could remove my wisdom teeth. I'm looking forward to going to this dentist for as long as I can. Was a very good experience extremely helpful very clean environment. Thank you very much it is much appreciated. The nice lady who helped me book an appointment was really good at it I will say that. Super helpful.

I hate to write this because I received the best service from Dr. Worsey and his assistant. During my appointment, I was told I needed a root canal and that the next available appointment would be in Northampton, or, I could wait until the following Wednesday and see the specialist at the East Longmeadow location. There was an extreme downpour as I was headed to the Northampton office for my appointment. I left early to give myself time to find the location and because of the downpour. Plus, I needed to drive slower than usual. However, I just could not see and it became dangerous for me to continue on the highway. I got off the highway and called their office right away to let them know I needed to cancel or come at a later time because I did not feel safe enough to drive. The receptionist was not only rude but lacked empathy. She told me that they squeezed in last minute(I didn't ask or expect them to squeeze me in. While making the appointment, I even said that they could schedule me for whatever day that would be most convenient for them since the receptionist mentioned needing to move appointments around). I was giving them the courtesy of calling their office to let them know that I may not be able to make it to the appointment on time, or at all, because I could not see on the highway during the downpouring rain. If I waited for the rain to pass, I would have been late for my appointment. The receptionist told me that I needed to pay a $35 fee which is fine. But, the lack of empathy and total disregard for the concern of my safety is disappointing from a customer service standpoint. Under normal rain conditions, it would not have been as big of a deal. Safety should always come first. Such a huge disappointment since I liked Dr. Worsey and his dental assistant. As a patient with clinical anxiety, he showed both care and empathy and made sure I felt comfortable during my dental procedure.

I had a terrible experience at EMA Dental (with Dr. Mariano and his assistant that day). They don't listen and they don't make the charges clear in advance. They tried to convince me to get crowns on my 6 front teeth, which is not what I want, and other dentists agree that it is not only unnecessary, it could threaten the health of my teeth, which have short roots from previous orthodontist work. Also, they made it seem like this was a consultation and that my insurance would cover the x-rays and impressions -- things I told them I didn't need, but they kept pressing and said it would be better to do it while I was there. I feel like I went to a used car salesman instead of a dental professional.

Aleah was my dental hygienist for the day and she was fabulous! So quick, efficient, and articulate-then again I would expect that from EMA. Great bedside manner too! She even asked me questions when I actually could respond hahaha! Love this team. Such nice folks! I'm sad that I live on the Cape now and have to look for another group. Can I just drive the 2.5 hours to see you? Tempting.

EMA Dental has for several years treated a range of problems afflicting my teeth and mouth, and I have invariably found the staff both friendly and thoroughly professional. I can't say that I look forward to my sessions with Dr Mariano and his colleagues, but I have consistently experienced strong confidence in the treatment that they offer .I am grateful for past treatment and confident that future visits will demonstrate the excellence I have come to expect from the EMA staff.

When in for a regular visit. Everything at EMA is far from regular. Everything is very professional and very clean. My experience is the patient comes first.
