Traci has been with Elmwood Family Dentistry since January 2006. As the Office Manager, Traci oversees the accounting aspect of the practice and works behind the scenes to make sure the practice is running smoothly. Traci graduated from Jamestown College in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and Communications.
Evan is a Registered Dental Hygienist that has been with Elmwood Family Dentistry since November of 2007. She attended the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities for 2 years before transferring to NDSCS in Wahpeton for Dental Hygiene. She loves getting to know her patients and helping them maintain a happy & healthy smile. Evan is married with 2 children and loves to spend her free time with her family at the lake and NDSU Bison games.
Rachel is the newest addition to the Elmwood Family Dentistry group. She is a Fargo native and graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2016. Rachel enjoys creating healthy smiles and the one-on-one time she has with her patients.
Holly joined the practice in February 1987. She attended NDSCS, earning her certificate for dental assisting in 1984 and went on to become a Registered Dental Hygienist, graduating from NDSCS in 1986. What Holly enjoys most about her career is providing care for multi-generations of patients, from young children at their first visit to seniors.
Lori is a Registered Dental Hygienist that graduated from NDSCS in 1994. She began her career with Elmwood Family Dentistry that same year. Lori loves her co-workers and the doctors she works with. Lori says the best part of working in the dental field is the conversationsshe has with her patients.
Laura is a Certified and Registered Dental Assistant. She graduated from St. Cloud Community and Technical College in 2009 andjoined our team in 2011. Laura enjoys working with our staff and interacting withpatients at Elmwood Family Dentistry.
Linda is a Certified and Registered Dental Assistant. She graduated from Moorhead State Community and Technical College. Linda has been with Elmwood Family Dentistry since the practice started in 1984. Linda finds dentistry as exciting now as she did when she first started working in the dental field.
Betty has been working in the front office of Elmwood Family Dentistry since 1995. She received her dental assistant certificate from NTC in Bemidji, MN. Betty joined the dental profession because she enjoys helping people and feels privileged to work with our patient family each and every day. She especially loves the conversations she has with those that come into the office.
Dr. Nick Bakkum graduated from North Dakota State Universitywith a Bachelor of Sciencein Biology with a Chemistry Minor in 2003. He went on to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degreeat the University of Minnesota.He and his wife, Emily, returned to the area after his graduation from the U of M in 2008.
Dr. Bakkum is an active member of the American Dental Association and the North Dakota Dental Association. He volunteers his time with the Red River Valley Dental Access Project, providing free dental care to patients who otherwise could notafford it.
Dr. Bakkum is experienced in many aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry and has experience in both private dental practice and public health practice. Heenjoys learning about what's new and practical in dentistry today and keeping track of what is on the horizon for the future. Dr. Bakkum values his strong relationships with other dental specialistsin the area in orderto provide seamless care for each individual patient depending on their specific needs.
Dr. Bakkum and his wife keepbusy raising two active, young kids. They enjoy attending local sporting events, concerts and productions. Dr. Bakkum appreciates the occasional round of golf and is a proud supporter of NDSU Bison athletics and academics.
He is an active member of the American Dental Association, North Dakota Dental Association, Southeast District Dental Society and other dental organizations. He is also very active with the Red River Valley Dental Access Project, which provides anurgent care walk-in clinic fordental pain relief to low-income patients. He volunteers at the clinic and currently serves as the president of the Board of Directors.
Dr. Seeley started with Elmwood Family Dentistryin 2004. As a second-generation dentist, he is very passionate about dentistry and is committed to providing the best care to his patients in a friendly and comfortable environment. He continues to take advanced dental education courses and keeps current on the latest dental technology.
Dr. Seeley and his wife Traci enjoy raising their three children in North Dakota, which has been home to them all their lives.He is a hockey enthusiast whospends his winter months cheering on UND and following his children from rink to rink. He also enjoys time with friends and family and doing almost anything outdoors.

I saw Dr. Bakkum for a root canal today, first time we had met. He was SUPER at explaining everything and it was 100% pain free. He talks you through step by step what he is doing, so you know what to expect. I would definitely recommend him!! He is fabulous.

I'm from Wisconsin and was in Fargo for work and had a problem in one of my tooth so call to another 2 places and the did not want to help me because I was no a patient of them, so I call to Elmwood family dentistry and the person that answer the phone was so nice and kind and book for me an appointment for the same day so I went there and the doctor Bryan I think is his name he was so professional and fix my problem right away! I recommend 100% this place! Thanks for the help being far from home

I'm 46 and I've been a ton of dentist's in my life. Some were decent experiences, some were bad. The last one I had was very rough and abrasive and acted like I had no option but to use her. Elmwood Family isn't like that. I had a cleaning, xrays and overall exam. They found a loose filling with a cavity. The appointment to repair it was made for a couple of days later (I've never experienced this. Most of the time the other Dentists I've used in the past would schedule for a month or 2 later). As he was fixing my tooth, he was very gentle and patient. He described exactly what he was doing the entire time he was working. I had zero discomfort. He gave me more options of other things I could do and explained everything better than anyone ever has. I'll never go anywhere else! Thank you Elmwood. Merle Bobbitt West Fargo, ND
