Dr. Cole Archambault grew up here in West Springfield, MA. Dr. Cole earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with academic honors from Tufts University. During his undergraduate studies, he served as the editor-in-chief for the undergraduate bioethics journal, which published his article An Exploration of Dental Health Disparities in America.
Our dentist earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he was the recipient of the Walter S. Barr Fellowship. He is currently on track to earn the prestigious Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry, which involves a significant commitment to continuing education.
Dr. Cole Archambaults treatment philosophy centers on taking the time to explain all treatment options to his patients and fully discuss the benefits of each option. His approach emphasizes saving teeth whenever possible, but he is also happy to use state-of-the-art implant restorations to replace teeth when needed.

Dr. Betsy Boig Larkum grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Spanish from Lehigh University. She earned her D.M.D. from Tufts University in 2014 where she met Cole Archambault, and they became lifelong friends.
Dr. Boig Larkum was chosen by her professors to receive the Academy of General Dentistry Senior Student Dental Award for her ability to foster and maintain trusting, positive relationships with patients.
Dr. Boig Larkum is passionate about delivering the highest quality of care and focusing on the comfort and interests of her patients. She has completed two Spear continuing education courses on treatment planning and occlusion, as well as a mini-residency in geriatric dentistry. When she became a dentist, she made a promise to her patients to learn how to use the newest technologies, procedures, and materials and she genuinely enjoys doing so.
Dr. Leo Hood, Dr. Anthony Zepko, and Dr. Gary Archambault retired in after 30+ year careers providing compassionate and meticulous dental care in our West Springfield dental office. We thank them for their wonderful commitment to dentistry and to each patient that walked through the doors at Elm Family Dentistry.

With more than nine years of dental experience, Tara combines her office manager role with assisting Dr. Cole three days per week. She helps patients with dental insurance and has set up our electronic record keeping system. We are truly grateful to have her at Elm Family Dentistry.

A wonderful practice! Everyone here is very nice and really cares, not only about your teeth but also, your overall health. They have never hurt me once and explain exactly what needs to be done. My mother, who is terrified of the dentist, loves this practice.
Our caring dentists work with the best specialists in the Springfield area. Although we offer a number of family, cosmetic, and restorative services, there are times when a specialty treatment may be needed. This is something we can easily arrange for you.

Excellent dental care provided professionally by a knowledgeable dentist who communicates clearly and compassionately. His technical skills are exemplary. Staff and dental assistants are superb as well. The office and exam rooms are well appointed clean and well supplied. Overall a classy top shelf operation.

If I could give more than five stars, I would! I have been a patient at this practice for over 15 years. Back in the day, Dr Archambault and Dr Hood were incredible and everyone who worked with them were fantastic as well. I was there when Dr Cole took over upon their retirements and he was amazing as well. Unfortunately, my dental insurance changed and I needed to seek out other practices to be covered. I visited quite a few and just never had the same feeling of comfort, honesty and wisdom. I recently returned even though my insurance doesn't cover. It is so worth it to me to have a sense of trust with a dental provider. Dr Cole certainly is "carrying on the baton" handed along from Dr Gary Archambault, et al, with his attention and care to his patients. Everyone in the office is pleasant and welcoming. I actually have anxiety over going to a dentist, but upon my return I actually sat in the chair and found myself saying, "I am so happy to be here"! (Knowing I wouldn't be given a 2 page printout of work that does not need to be done, etc) Highly recommend

Prior to visiting Elm Family Dentistry, I was terrified of attending the dentist -- so much, in fact, that I had managed only 2-3 visits over the course of the previous 10-12 years. When tooth discomfort inevitably forced my hand, I was still reluctant. Not just because of any potential bad news, but also due to the fear of how the news would be delivered. Would I be judged? Reprimanded? Made to feel overwhelmed? Fortunately, Dr. Cole and Haley, the hygienist, couldn't have been more understanding, supportive, and educational in their treatment, as they helped me formulate and navigate a plan for my long-term health. I recently returned for my 6-month follow up and was again greeted with such kindness and respect. (In addition to praise for my progress!) Thank you to the office staff, Haley, and Dr. Cole for helping create a warm and welcoming environment. You're all very much appreciated!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff at Elm Family Dentistry. I have been going to them since I was a child (we followed Dr.Zepko from his Springfield office) and 40 years later they are still friendly, kind and GENTLE! I highly recommend them for any of your dental needs :)

We have been long time , very satisfied patients of this practice. We were patients of Dr Gary and his staff and now patients of Dr Cole and his staff. The equipment in this office is state of the art. The office is always clean, neat and welcoming. Patients are taken "ontime'....little to no waiting. Dr Cole and his staff are friendly, professional and caring. Patients are not rushed. Your questions and concerns are always addressed satisfactorily. All in all, Elm Family Dentistry "deserves to be preferred "!! .....and I was Dr Cole's 1st in office patient!!...To this day, Dr Cole always comments on his first in patuent office day and my being his 1st patient ....nearly 8 yrs ago!!

Today was the first time that I had a dental procedure done at Elm Family Dentistry. It went so smoothly! Both Dr. Cole and Whitney were completely responsive to my concerns. I am one of those people who has had fears about dental office visits since I was a child and I also have a physical condition that requires some attention. Dr. Cole explained exactly what the work would be before he began and he and Whitney worked together as a team with diligence (and some humor, too!) to make sure that I was at ease the whole time. I am so pleased with the results and with the fact that I chose this office and its staff to take care of my teeth (and me!).

I have been going to Elm Family Dentistry my entire life. I even drive over an hour and a half just for my appointment (the only doctor's appt. I have in the area I grew up in still that differs from where I currently live). Not only is the staff friendly, but Dr. Cole makes his patients feel extremely comfortable and always does what's in their best interests. The hygienists are so friendly and always provide updates with the work that they are doing, letting you know each step. I'm proud to say because of Elm Family Dentistry, I've never had a cavity in my life! Highly recommend.

Dr. Cole and his team are the best dental practice you could ever ask for. Dr. Cole is the son of Dr. Archambault who started the practice who I had seen for a very long time before he retired. Dr. Cole and his team are dedicated in providing the best experience with state of the art equipment and procedures. They also treat you with respect and a pleasant calming atmosphere. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my dental needs.
