Dr. Norman of Elm Family Dental is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He has a General Practice Residency certificate from the Philadelphia Veterans Memorial Hospital and a degree in Biology from Johns Hopkins University.
He began practicing in West Haven Connecticut in December of 2002. He enjoys positive, long-term relationships with patients and guiding them toward ideal oral health. Dr. Normans patience and gentle nature are why he's the perfect choice for anxious patients.
Dr. Norman lives in Glastonbury, CT, with his wife Jennifer and their children Sydney, Michael, Matthew, and James. When not working, which is rare due to his workaholic tendencies, he enjoys kayaking, exercising, taekwondo, and spending quality time with his family.
Dr. Aumann, originally from NJ, is a graduated of St. Peters College in Jersey City, NJ, with a major in chemistry. After working in the pharmaceuticals, he returned to school for a dental degree from Washington University, School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, MO.
He received further training in the U.S. Navy Dental Corp., where he was stationed at Pearl Harbor, HI, for several years. Dr. Aumann remained in Hawaii for another seven years in a private practice before returning to the East Coast, where he has been practicing for 25 years.
Dr. Young is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. At the University of Connecticut, he earned awards for Community Service and Research. He participated in a published research study: Dentin Bonding Agents: A Two-Year Study.
Dr. Young graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse University and earned an Academic Excellence in Biology award and a Bachelor of Science degree. He completed specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Temple University Hospital and a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.
He also earned a Morris Kelner Progress in Pediatric Dentistry Research,trained in caring for children with special needs, and has also been formally trained in oral conscious sedation as well as hospital dentistry.
Locally active, he provides oral hygiene instruction and dental screenings at the New Haven Boys and Girls Club, Tutor Time, and the Colgate Bright Smiles & Bright Future Program. He participates in the Dept. of Public Healths Dental Home by One program.
He is an active member of the ADA, AAPD, ABPD, CSPD, and CSDA. Being family oriented, he spends time with his beautiful wife and daughter, Erica and Cyan. His hobbies include music, off-roading, sports, exercise, science, traveling, and conversations with good people.
Barbara has been a registered Dental Hygienist for over 8 years. She is a graduate of the University of Bridgeport Fones School of Dental Hygiene with an associate degree in Science, graduating as the valedictorian of her hygiene class.
She came to the U.S. from Poland in 1988. She graduated from Derby High School in 1991 and from the Eli Whitney School for Dental Assisting in 1993. While she enjoyed assisting the dentist, she found her true calling to be a dental hygienist. She thoroughly enjoys practicing dental hygiene and performing Zoom Teeth Whitening to give patients their best smiles!
Nancy has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for over 8 years. She has an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of New Haven. A native of East Haven, Nancy worked for SNET / AT&T after graduating from East Haven High School.
Nancy's family grew with four wonderful boys Joshua, Jordan, Joseph, and Jonathan. When she brought her children to the dentist, they struggled with anxiety. This inspired her to pursue dental hygiene to help her own and all children have a better experience.
Nancy currently lives in Branford and comes from a strong Italian family. Her mother's Italian cooking is some of the best on the shoreline! When she isn't working, she cherishes her time with her boys and enjoys traveling with John, the love of her life.

Best out of the best, Dr Normal is very good at what he does, a very careful, honest, polite, and professional dentist. The clinic employees are wonderful, a trial will convince you, period !!!.

ladies at the front desk are terrible, rude, and unprofessional. idc how good the dentists are, no one wants to go somewhere when the first person you see is rude!!! id give 0 stars if i could! DO BETTER ELM!!!

Dr edwards is a amazing woman I have a huge fear of dentist and needles and I promise you no one is more scared then me but my tooth pain was so bad I took the risk! I was petrified she was so gentle and informative her demeanor was very soothing and helped me to push through I felt no pain at all with my extraction I'm still in shock that I had it done being I haven't been to a dentist for work done since a small child due to a bad experience I'm 37 now and looking forward to getting more work done all thanks to her so happy I found her I literally cried when I got home from relief and the stress of suffering so long due to my fear! Enough cannot be said about Elm St Family Dental!! Dr Norman is my family dentist for over 15 yrs. Compassionate, honest, caring, kind, considerate, patient. Takes his time to know the patient and understanding their concerns. Dr. Norman's work is excellent. I have major issues with my teeth due to a health condition & Dr Norman has saved my teeth ! If you are looking for a dentist, look no further - Elm street dental is it! The staff is also fantastic.

Dr.Edwards OMG she is the best .I have a really really bad phobia of dentist when I say this women is a (beast ) at what she does best in a good way. The whole experience was painless and all the way there I wanted to cancel because panic was setting in if I could give her more stars I would. I love the way her and her assistant vibe together so professional. If I need anything else done she is the one with the magic hands and personality to match no one else will ever do work on me as long as she's around. Wonderful person and very professional and caring about her patients I've already referred relatives to her who are fearful of dentist.

I highly recommend Elm Family Dental. My family goes there ( ranging in ages from 4 to a seasoned 60+! )They " listen" to client's needs . They make the trip to the dentist a pleasant and positive experience. Dr Norman and the Team are the best!
