This allows us to ensure that everybody we treat receives the high-quality care they deserve, with the highest rates of success for their long-term oral health.
Dr. Richard Carter is a compassionate, experienced dentist, providing complete general, restorative, and cosmetic care to patients of all ages. A proud graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Biological Science, Dr. Carter graduated magna cum laude with dual degrees in microbiology and biochemistry. After receiving his dental degree from the University of Minnesota College of Dentistry, he spent 12 years serving the people of Wahpeton, North Dakota. Throughout his life, Dr. Carter has undergone extensive dental treatment, including orthodontics, TMJ treatment, implants, and gum grafting. With his arsenal of personal experience, he can relate to your concerns with compassion and empathy.

Stacey obtained her Associate in Applied Science and Registered Dental Assisting degree from the Normandale Community College and Hennepin Technical College. Stacey joined our team in 2002. She is married with two boys and has two golden retrievers, Ben and Ollie. Outside of the office, Stacey enjoys gardening, knitting, scrapbooking, watching her boys play sports.
Vicki obtained her Dental degree from the Lakeland Medical and Dental Academy and joined the practice in 2008. She enjoys meeting everyone who comes into our office, especially our littlest patients, and watching them grow over the years. She is married with three children and five grandchildren. She has a German wirehair named Rex. Outside of the office, Vicki likes fishing, cross-country skiing, and supporting her favorite team, the Minnesota Twins.
Mary earned her Associate in Science from North Hennepin Community College and her Dental Hygienist degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. She joined our practice in 2001 and since then has earned certifications in the use of the 810 Diode Laser and 635 Low Level Laser Therapy. She enjoys seeing her patients implement proper dental habits and obtain healthier smiles. In her free time, Mary enjoys ballroom dancing, hiking, and cooking. She also enjoys cheering on the home teams: the Gophers, Vikings, and the Twins.
Geena graduated from St. Cloud Technical and Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene in 2019. Geena is grateful to be a part of such a great team here at Elm Creek Dental. Geena is passionate in improving her patients oral health while creating a comfortable and calm environment. She feels very fortunate to love what she does. One of the most rewarding aspects of her job is being able to form close relationships with her patients.
Katie joined our team as a Dental Hygienist after graduating from St. Cloud Technical and Community College in 2019. Shes earned special certifications in nitrous oxide, x-rays, and administering injections. While in college, she earned the Team Player Award. Katie loves the opportunity to bond with her patients and watch them grow as individuals, and make huge strides with their oral health! When not in the office, Katie enjoys watching YouTube, playing video games, and spending time with golden retrievers and cats. Favorite Quote: Never let your fear decide your fate.
Dawn earned her Licensed Dental Assistant diploma from the Lakeland Medical and Dental Academy and joined our team in 2001. She has completed certifications in restorative functions, pediatric dentistry, implant dentistry, STO, and sleep apnea treatment. Patients appreciate her enthusiasm and friendliness and she enjoys the smiles her patients wear when they leave the office. Dawn has a son, daughter, and grandsons. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family.
Krista completed her Licensed Dental Assistant diploma from Herzing University. She joined the team in 2014 and has earned certifications in implant dentistry, laser dentistry, and pediatric dentistry. Patients appreciate Kristas friendly, informative, and energetic presence and she enjoys her patients desire to improve their smiles and maintain good oral health. Outside of the office, Krista enjoys spending time with her husband, her three daughters, her cat Meemoo, and cheering on the New England Patriots.

Dr. Carter and the staff are a great team. They do a very thorough job and they are very kind. They are very intelligent people who are very passionate about helping people. Their dentistry changed my life because not only do my teeth look great, I can actually eat without difficulty for a long time. I got kicked in the face by a horse a while back, and a lot of my teeth got damaged. Dr. Carter made it possible for me to get a temporary retainer with teeth attached to it, which saved my dignity and self-esteem. Love this place! They have taken care of all of my dental needs very well over the past few years. In addition, they were incredibly gentle and considerate when filling two cavities for my 5-year-old daughter who was very apprehensive about going to the dentist. She had such a good time that she has been asking when she can go back for a checkup. Thank you!
