My goal as an orthodontist is to provide the highest quality of treatment for my patients in a friendly, caring environment. There is great satisfaction in knowing that I have the privilege of making a positive impact on the lives of my patients by creating beautiful smiles that will last them a lifetime. Each one of my patients is special to me, and each smile is a unique gift.

Having braces had such a great impact on my own self-esteem and self-confidence that I decided at the age of 12 that I wanted to be an orthodontist. I feel fortunate that I can make a positive difference in the lives of many children, teens, and adults through improvements in their smiles and overall oral health.

I was born and raised in Beloit, WI, graduating from Beloit Memorial High School. I received my associate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Rock County and graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree from Marquette University. I also attended dental school at Marquette where I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After completing a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Marquette, I taught as a member of clinical faculty at the Marquette School of Dentistry and practiced general dentistry prior to completing a two-year orthodontic residency at Marquette, earning a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics.

I participate in many different continuing education courses, including seminars, meetings, and hands-on training in new technologies, so that I can stay current with advances in dentistry and orthodontics and provide the best possible treatment for my patients. I am also board certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

We have a great staff that is dedicated to providing a very high quality of treatment and customer service. They are very caring and treat our patients like family by forming trusting relationships with our patients and their parents. I feel very lucky to be able to work with such a wonderful group of individuals who I consider to be my second family.

My husband Andrew and I have four children, Greyson, Braelyn,Layla, and Everly. We also have a beloved English bulldog named Griswold, a Boston terrier named Ivy, and a French bulldog named Bo. When I am not in the office, I enjoy movies, reading, music, cooking and baking, and spending quality time with my children, family, and friends.

My community is very important to me, and I am proud to serve the areas where I grew up and am raising my family. I am involved with many local schools and support their academic, music, athletics, and theater departments.

I assist Dr. Ellis with patients as an orthodontic assistant. I am proud of being friendly and patient with the families we see. I am amazed at what Dr. Ellis can do with a smile in such a short period of time. Nothing beats seeing a patient smile and say Wow when their braces come off.

I am married to Nick, and we have three children named Karol, Viviana, and Adrian. I also have two stepchildren, Vanessa and Nick Jr., and a dog named Doc. I was born in Rockford and attended Rockford East High School. My family currently lives in Roscoe. All of my children attend or have graduated from Hononegah High School in Rockton. When Im not in the office, I enjoy going for walks, getting involved at my childrens schools, and rocking out to '80s music.

I have had the pleasure of working in the dental/orthodontics field for more than 20 years now, but working for Dr. Ellis has made me proud of the path that I have chosen, as I love watching her create her beautiful smiles!

I assist Dr. Ellis in providing the utmost safety for our patients by complying with all the proper sterilization procedures by OSHA standards, and our office procedures. I also keep the clinic flowing when needed by assisting chairside as the schedule permits. I also work in the lab doing various duties for our office and making the nighttime retainers for our patients that get their braces off.

I am from Janesville and have three children, Tyler, Travis, and Khloe, all of whom graduated from Craig High School in Janesville and have successful lives of their own. My husband Jim and I have been together for 14 years. I proudly gained a wonderful stepdaughter Courtney and son-in-law Cody, who gave us an adorable grandson, Liam. Jim and I love being grandparents and spending time with all our family!

We understand that choosing to receive orthodontic care is a big decision, and you deserve a practice where you feel comfortable, safe, and welcome. That is why, at Ellis Orthodontics, we specialize in forming long-lasting relationships with our patients and their families. We want every aspect of your treatment to be as pleasant as possible so that you always have something to smile about!

  • Dr. Lynae Ellis is our only orthodontist, so she treats every patient who walks in the door. This ensures her undivided attention and the most efficient care possible. Not only is Dr. Ellis one of the only female orthodontists in the area, she is one of the only board-certified orthodontists in the area, guaranteeing the highest quality of care possible.
  • For most people, achieving a healthy, beautiful smile is the reason for receiving orthodontic care. If you're self-conscious about your smile, correcting your concerns with braces will greatly improve the way you look and feel.

When your treatment is complete, you will have the smile you've always dreamed of and the confidence to show it off! We also want you to feel comfortable and confident throughout your entire orthodontic experience, and our practice is dedicated to making sure that you receive the quality care you deserve.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.

Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!

Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

My Son and I Both are/were patients of Dr. Ellis. we couldn't be happier. Everytime I walk in I am greeted with a smile (even behind the mask) Hailey and Maria are my "goto" Maria would come in on her days/time off to help me with any issues I may have had with my wires. (My own doing) They are both so sweet and very professional. I had my braces removed yesterday 1-14-2021 I was a little bit nervous but Hailey explained every step to me. They always are checking to see if you have any pain or discomfort. I did not..... but, I asked Hailey what she would have done if I had said yes. She said she would have tried different methods to make it less discomforting for me. I highly recommend Dr. Ellis and her staff!

I went to dr Ellis looking for Invisalign and was told I wasn't a candidate so I suffered through being an adult with braces. When dr Ellis removes my braces my teeth were misaligned and the bottoms were hitting the tops. To fix this, rather than leave the braces in until my teeth were ready, she filed down the back of my top front teeth to ease the friction. I left with permanent retainers which held my teeth in their misaligned state, and when I sleep in my retainers the misalignment is even worse when I wake. I have since moved and had to seek out another orthodontist to fix her mistakes and now have to pay for Invisalign to correct the problems she caused. I spent a fortune with her and my teeth are worse than they were when I sought treatment. They are irreparably damaged, so much of my front teeth have been filed away I have painful weak spots on the back of my teeth and I am concerned they are going to snap if I bite down with them. Additionally she had planned treatment on my daughter which was going to include hinges, expanders, and braces. Our new ortho is fixing her teeth with just Invisalign and her teeth look amazing. Get a second opinion before letting dr Ellis work on your teeth, they are the only set you will ever have.

My child will not be getting braces with her after our experience with a palate expander. The expander needed fixing or replacement and she waited months to fix it. Even after repairs, it still didn't work right. The expander wasn't staying in place when we turned the screw, it would spin. The expander was supposed to be in for 6-9 months. After almost 1-1/2 years, we may finally be getting the darn thing out. The communication between assistants and receptionists could be better also, we had to reschedule appointments due to not having enough time to get the prescribed turns in on the expander before the next scheduled check and an appointment made under the wrong patient's name after I'd tried to correct the receptionist on my child's name.
