Inspired by his childhood orthodontist, he started his practice from scratch in the Marlton/Mt. Laurel area in 1997 aftergraduatingfrom New York University College of Dentistrys orthodontic residency program.
Dr. Ellis is a skilled, board-certified practitioner who is passionate about orthodontics. His practice is founded on building lifelong relationships with his patients and their families. He treats a wide variety of patients, from children to adults, and is a Premier Platinum Provider for Invisalign.
Dr. Ellis also has a mentoring program in his office for teens who wish to pursue a career in orthodontics. He supports many local and national charities, as well as many patients sports teams and activities.
He has received several clinical awards and numerous other awards, including the prestigious Presidents Service Award for leadership and NYUs Class of 49 Hyman J. Schorr award for sincerity and helpfulness. He is also on the faculty of NYU. He has been voted top orthodontist in SJ and South Jersey Magazine every yearsince 2007.
Dr. Ellis resides in Marltonwith his wife Rita and their two sons, Jack and Luke. He continues to play hockey and currently plays for the Flyers Alumni team. He also enjoys skiing, golf,and coaching his boys hockey and lacrosse teams.

Traditional metal braces are the most common type of braces and are more comfortable today than ever before. Made of high-grade stainless steel, metal braces straighten your teeth using metal brackets and archwires. With metal braces, you have the option of adding colored elastics (rubber bands) for a more unique and colorful smile.
Ceramic braces are made of clear materials and are therefore less visible on your teeth than metal braces. For this reason, ceramic braces are used mainly on older teenagers and adult patients who have cosmetic concerns. While they are visually less prominent, they do require more attention to oral hygiene as ceramic braces are larger and are more brittle than their metal counterparts. For these reasons, ceramic braces tend to be used more on upper front teeth than on lower teeth.
Clear aligners are a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable acrylic trays that straighten your teeth like braces. Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment, plus brushing and flossing are less of a hassle. The aligners are comfortable and have no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment.

This was the best experience. My son is 8 and we were just going for a consult. I was concerned that the doctor would want to push braces at such a young age. Dr. Ellis was wonderful. Not only did he not push anything, he sat and talked with my son. He made him feel comfortable. He made him laugh. It was a great first experience. We will definitely be going back to Dr. Ellis.

We loved our experience at Ellis Orthodontics. Dr. Ellis is great with my kids - even my autistic son - is very knowledgeable, isn't quick to jump and fix anything he sees just for the sake of it but is comfortable taking a "wait and see" approach when appropriate. On the other hand, with one of my children, who has a severe issue that won't correct itself with time, he had a very good plan for how to approach the problem in a way that was cost effective and best suited her lifestyle. His staff is warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. The office is beautifully furnished with a stunning aquarium in the waiting room with a catfish who has quite a personality. I would definitely recommend Dr. Ellis. He is the third orthodontist we have consulted, and he is the one we'll be sticking with for treatment!

I met with Dr. Ellis for a consultation. I was really surprised how much time he gave me to discuss my case. There was no pressure to move forward with the orthodontics. He asked a lot of questions and listened to all of my concerns. If I do move forward with treatment, I will certainly be going to his office.

Dr Ellis is the best! He shared several options (retainer vs braces vs invisalign) to strengthen out my teeth. From the start, he set the expectations clearly and after following his plan my teeth are straight! Extremely happy with the results.
