Nitrous oxide, better known as laughing gas, is commonly used in dentistry to help patients with dental anxiety or fear feel more at ease. It is a colorless blend of oxygen and nitrous oxide gases, and patients inhale it through a mask. Nitrous oxide is also a great solution for any patients who have a strong gag reflex that makes it difficult to receive dental treatment.
With digital X-rays, you can say goodbye to those uncomfortable, sharp squares of film. Instead, we place a small sensor in your mouth and receive detailed images immediately. Better still, digital X-rays emit up to 85% less radiation than conventional X-rays.
The intraoral camera makes it possible for you to get a close look at your own mouth and oral health. It delivers high-resolution images and videos to a screen, making it easy for us to walk you through your treatment plan.
Oral cancer claims the life of one person every hour of every day. We perform oral cancer screenings with the Velscope device in order to detect this disease as early as possible, even before you may notice any pain or symptoms.
Soft tissue lasers are a minimally invasive way to deal with many different types of oral issues from canker/cold sores to gum disease. The best part is that using them means theres no need for a drill!
Dr. R. Boone Terry is a graduate of the Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in Cleveland, OH. After earning his DMD degree, Dr. Terry completed a two-year residency in comprehensive dentistry at Fort Hood, TX. During residency, he received extensive training in oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, periodontics, pediatric dentistry, and orthodontics. Dr. Terry graduated as the top resident in 2006 and was awarded Board Certification the same year a distinction only 1% of general dentists nationwide can claim.
Following his residency, Dr. Terry was named Chief of Restorative Dentistry at Ft. Gordon, GA, where he served as a Captain in the United States Army. After six years of active duty service and numerous commendation awards, he separated from the army to pursue his dream of private practice in the beautiful state of Colorado.
Since arriving in Colorado, Dr. Terry has enjoyed serving the Elizabeth community in a number of ways whether sponsoring our local school teams, donating protective mouthguards, or providing dental care to underprivileged children, Dr. Terry and our staff strive to make a positive difference in the communities we serve.
Dr. Terry is trained in sedation dentistry, allowing him to provide comfortable treatment options for children and adults who might need a little extra help relaxing in the dental chair. All of this specialized training allows him to perform most dental procedures in our office instead of having to refer patients to other providers.
Dr. Terry is affiliated with and an active member of the American Board of General Dentistry (ABGD), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), American Dental Association (ADA), Colorado Dental Association (CDA), and the Metropolitan Denver Dental Society (MDDS). He was recognized as a Top Dentist in Denvers 5280 magazine in his first year of practice.
I graduated from dental hygiene school in 1997 and have been a hygienist at Elizabeth Family Dental since 2011. Mt husband and I have a son and a daughter who attend school here in Elizabeth. They live, work, and play in the community and also enjoy what the mountains have to offer, including skiing, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, and camping. I am proud to serve in my local community.
I am an expanded functions dental assistant with over 25 years of experience. I have been employed at Elizabeth Family Dental since January 2007 and really enjoy the family atmosphere. I raised three kids that have gone through the Elizabeth school district, and enjoy spending time outdoors with family and friends.
Melissa loves spending time and doing outside activities with her family. She is a certified trainer and really enjoys working out. She especially enjoys spending time with her husband and watching their boys play sports.
I have been with Dr Terry since November of 2019 and have been practicing hygiene for almost 27 yrs now. I am married with 2 boys, 14 and 9. My husband has been in the Ag industry on the beef side for 22 years. My family and I moved to Elizabeth 2 years ago from Castle Rock. We are excited to be out in the Elizabeth community to have the small town values, morals and live a slower quieter way of life. My husband and I both grew up with horses in our backyard and wanted the same for our boys. We enjoying riding and roping. We have a Horsetrailer with a living quarters and we ALL love camping with the horses in the summer. Both boys are football players and we hope to get to spend Friday nights under the lights of Elizabeth HS.
I graduated in 2000 from North Dakota State College of Science. My husband and I moved to Colorado in 2001 and we have called Elizabeth home since 2008. I am blessed to have found Dr. Terry and his amazing staff so I can live and work in this wonderful community.
I am a Colorado native, who grew up in Franktown, Colorado. I graduated from college in 2015 and have been practicing as a Registered Dental Assistant since then. I feel so lucky to work here at Elizabeth Family Dental and have such an awesome work family here. When I am outside of the office, I enjoy the outdoors and going on as many adventures as possible. I love my border collie dogs, Georgia & Oakley the most. I enjoy working out and staying busy!

Best dentist I have ever been to! All of the procedures Dr. Terry's done on me have been free. Mostly because he's my dad.

I had big white spots on my front 3 teeth from childhood because I was given too much fluoride as a child. I had the fronts of those three teeth fixed15 years ago (in Florida). I went and saw Dr Terry last week to get them redone since over the years they get stained. I am sooooo happy with the work he did! He was super gentle, very friendly and quite the perfectionist, making sure everything was just right and the price was fair. I am so incredibly grateful! I feel much more confident and my teeth look amazing! P.S. everybody at that office is amazing. They really do care about you!

I cannot thank this business enough for their help! I went in yesterday for (at least to me) an emergency with my mouth. I was in TEARS and ready to pull my own tooth out. They got me in right away. Everyone is so nice and attentive and make you feel so comfortable. I also lack insurance and they were so incredible at working something out with me so that I didn't have to sell my house to get my mouth fixed haha. Would HIGHLY recommend and will be making them my regular dentists.

Dr. Terry, Chris & Lisa are wonderful! They are very sensitive about your concerns & your experience. I've never had a bad experience with cleaning or other dental work with them. Pain is not a word you need to worry about!

I went to my first visit this last week, and everyone in the office was super friendly! Dr. Boone and the dental hygenist were both super funny. They both made me laugh to try and shake the jitters off of visiting a dentist. They were recommended to me by my family, and I'm so glad I found them!

From the front desk staff to the hygienist to Dr. Terry, I was so impressed with this office. I don't usually write reviews for anything, regardless of my experience, but this office deserves a good one. Dr. Terry and the super duper nice people at Elizabeth Family Dental treated my 10 year old like he was the only patient scheduled today, like a grown person, rather than The Kid, explaining what they were doing during the cleaning, engaging in real conversation. He was 100% NOT nervous, and for many kids, that's huge. My appointment isn't until August, so I know they stay busy, but I recommend this dentist to everyone. Update: I've been going to Elizabeth Family Dental since last year, and I couldn't be happier with another dental team. My husband also sees Dr. Terry and staff. Their office has basically become a family affair. I wouldn't recommend any other dentist.

Went in for my first root Canal, Was very surprised. Not an ounce of pain. The Staff and Dr. Terry are the Best. Always make you feel comfortable and at ease.. Would recommend them to anyone.

I have been a patient of Elizabeth Family Dental for 13 years. I have always had a pleasant experience, easy to schedule appointments, very friendly and honest staff. I always feel I receive top notch service. Dr. Terry supports the local community, which I love about a small town. I wouldn't go any place else.
