Dr. Dale Scharine, Dr. Alyssa Edwards, Dr. Mark Pflum, and our team enjoy getting to know each patient and their families, and love creating relationships that last multiple generations.
Dr. Dale Scharines patients are like his family. He has shared in many of their joys and sorrows and truly cares about them! He looks forward to helping patients improve and maintain their smiles throughout the years, and feels fortunate that they allow him to be a part of their lives.
Dr. Scharine received his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and received his Doctor of Dental surgery degree as a graduate of the Marquette School of Dentistry. He is in involved with many organizations including the ADA (American Dental Association) WDA (Wisconsin Dental Association) AGD (Academy of General Dentistry), and the AAOGP (American Academy of Orthodontics for General Practitioner)
Dr. Scharine thrives on learning and keeping up with the latest trends and therapies in dentistry. He is dedicated to providing the best care for his patients, and his commitment to continuing education makes it all possible.
When not at the practice creating smiles, Dr. Scharine enjoys spending time at home with family. He is married to wife Reene and has one daughter Melissa, sons Dan and Paul, a family dog named Princess, and four grandchildren. His family resides in Appleton, where hes been proud to call home for more than 30 years. Dr. Scharine enjoys jogging, hunting, swimming, and biking.
Dr. Alissa Edwards grew up in Green Bay. Upon graduation from a local high school, she attended Marquette University for undergraduate studies and continued her education there, graduating from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2010. Dr. Edwards has been successfully practicing dentistry within the state since graduation and we are very pleased to have her providing patient care with Elite Smiles Dental.
Dr. Edwards is an active member in the ADA (American Dental Association) WDA (Wisconsin Dental Association) AGD (Academy of General Dentistry), and the Greater Green Bay Womens Dental Group. She also volunteers within the community at the Tri-County Dental Clinic.
Dr. Edwards strives to form relationships with her patients and exceed their needs and expectations. She is passionate about patient care. Her goal is to enhance her patients dental experiences with not only quality care and comfort, but also utilizing the most advanced dental technologies and materials available. She is very pleased to work amongst the youthful energy of her dental team that is fun loving and always has our patients comfort and care in the forefront of their minds. They share the same visions of a comfortable and compassionate dental experience.
Dr. Edwards resides in Appleton with her children andtheir pet pugs. Dr. Edwards feeds off the energy of liveliness of watching her children grow and learn. She enjoys photography, spending time in her kitchen experimenting with recipes, and living a healthy lifestyle.
As your dentist, Dr. Pflum feels that it is his responsibility to listen to your needs and create a unique treatment plan that will give you the beautiful smile you want. It is his goal that when you visit our practice, you will receive the outstanding care you deservecare that meets your needs and exceeds your expectations.
A quality education and a commitment to continuing education provided Dr. Pflum with the skills necessary to help his patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles. He is actively involved in continuing education in order to provide patients with the dental services they need and want. Dr. Pflum has participated in multiple continuing education courses, from general dentistry to all aspects of restorative and cosmetic treatments. Dr. Pflums commitment to continuing education is not only about fulfilling the minimal state requirements, but also about staying current with advances so that he can provide better care for his patients and their families.

These ladies are fantastic! I called to reschedule my appointment because I didn't have a babysitter for my 3 month old son. The office ladies insisted they watch him. I had anxiety all day worried about it but my son didn't cry once and he loved them! I don't know any other place that would bounce a baby for someone just to get their teeth cleaned. Great great great place, great people.

After 22 years with Dr Lenz I was advised by new dentist to have my upper teeth extracted for a denture. After 6 weeks of pain and limited food consumption I was told that they can't do the denture.

2 stars because the staff was super nice. -3 stars because the treatment was not very good. Had 2 fillings done, staff had issue with the gas mask ,were unsure how it worked. While doing procedure they did not have the correct tools (dentist kept complaning they need to talk to the vendor about getting different items due to the ones they used not working correctly). Staff kept using me as a table and dropping stuff on me instead of using their own tables. Staff was not 100% confident they filled it properly (they kept saying they can save it for next time). Again the staff was super nice but i did not feel confident in my dentist or the staff due to my expirence. Would not return.

I used to be a crier at the dentist. I was so frightened. After 9 years of avoiding it, a friend of mine recommended that I see Dr. Mathen. It was the best medical advice I could have gotten. She is so skillful that there was no need to be full of fear any more. I'm so thankful for this office: Dr. Mathen and all who work there. I drive from Green Bay just to go to this specific dentist. It's that important to me.

Extremely nice receptionists! Separate and knowledgeable accounting department. Dr. Springborn was excellent! Filled a cavity in no time with no complications. Was clear and concise in his explanations. I wish I could remember the name of the hygienist, because she did a wonderful job cleaning and suggesting other techniques to help with the wires I have cemented in on both my upper and lower row of teeth. I only wish they accepted supplemental insurance as well. To note, there is only 1 dentist in my area that will accept my supplemental plan. Great facilities and very calming while I was sitting and waiting for multiple procedures. Highly recommend Dr. Springborn and his outstanding team!

Love, love, LOVE Dr. Springborn, Sheila and the entire crew! Have been a patient here for years and highly recommend them. From regular cleanings to crowns, I've had different procedures over the years and have been 200% happy with the results every time. Not to mention, they listen to and take care of me as a person, not just a number. Extremely happy to be a patient here!
