A native to Columbia, South Carolina, Dr. Gambrell graduated from Airport High School, with honors, in 1992. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree, in Biology Cum Laude, from the University of South Carolina in 1996. Dr. Gambrell graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), Charleston, SC in 2001.
In 2001 he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Epsilon Honor Dental Society, which is an honor given to the top ten percent of the current dental students in the graduating class. Dr. Gambrell stayed in Charleston the following year to complete a Post- Graduate Residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at MUSC. This residency provided extensive experience with restoring dental implants and overall comprehensive dental care. Dr. Gambrell has been a certified provider for Invisalign since 2003 and a CEREC same day crown dentist since 2003.
Dr. Gambrell has a true passion for dentistry. He enjoys the opportunity his patients give him to be able to change their lives through their smile. He utilizes the latest in dental technology to achieve the result desired by his patient. Most anything can be done in our office from teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, same day crowns, clear braces, implants to digital impressions. Dr. Gambrell is dedicated to providing the best treatment outcome for each and every patient. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, the South Carolina Academy of Advanced Implant Studies and American Orthodontic Association.
Dr. Gambrell and his wife, April, are both very active in the community with their local church and The Boy Scouts of America. He is also a former Eagle Scout. He and April have two teenage children, Andrew and Ashley. They spend a lot of their time with high school band, Boy Scouts and dance. The family enjoys taking trips, fishing, hunting, going to see the Gamecocks play football and spending time together with their entire family.

They are friendly and courteous. They appear to know their job well and do it in a timely manner. We have been going to see Dr. Gambrel for decades. The wait time for your appointment time is not very long and in fact they get you in at your appointment time.

Probably the BEST cleaning I ever had! I had to come share! Tiffany Rodriguez is the absolute best! She was so professional, thoroughly explained everything, and made me feel so welcomed! Dr Gambrell and staff are absolutely the best! He had to remove a broken tooth of mine and I must admit, he went over and above to insure that I had no pain and was as gentle as possible in the extraction. I recommend this practice to everyone!

My experience with Elite Smiles, was Exciting, Educational, and Comfortable. This I say, because of the friendly and warm Atmosphere, they're very Receptive and they take genuine interest in their Patients care. Almost make you feel like you're going to Dinner at the Outback Steakhouse! No, but it will seem more or less, like your Mouth is being prepped for the invite! They makes you feel right at Home while they work, and the name speaks for itself. The proofs are in your Mouth and it shows!!!
