Wesley Powell, DDS, MS is a board-certified pediatric dentist in Atlanta, providing care for children, teens, and adolescents over 16 years. He completed his undergraduate studies at Southern Methodist University with a degree in anthropology and attended Columbia University School of Dentistry and Oral Surgery in New York for his dental training.

Prior to beginning his residency in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Powell completed an externship at UAB in oral and maxillofacial Surgery. He then completed a three-year postgraduate residency program in pediatric dentistry while earning a Masters Degree in Clinical Dentistry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His thesis was published in the Journal of Oral Immunology and Microbiology. He and his entire team are certified in CPR, and Dr. Powell is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Dr. Powell was instrumental in launching Team Smile in the Atlanta area, where he acts as the Atlanta Dental Coordinator. Team Smile is a program where dental professionals team up with the Atlanta Falcons Organization to enhance childrens health and wellness through improved oral health.

Dr. Powell invests in our local youth education both in the classroom and on the field helping to foster a dedication to education in our next generation. He often takes time to visit with the children in our community to educate them in a fun and meaningful way about good oral health.

Lana holds a degree in business administration and has several years of experience in all facets of dental practice management. A member of our team since 2018, Lana enjoys working with children and being a part of a wonderful team of doctors and staff. Along with ensuring our patients have an outstanding experience at our office, Lana makes sure all systems are in place to make our office as efficient and well run as possible.

Damaris was a patient of Dr. Powell long before she officially joined the team! She started working here in high school as a hygiene assistant. She went to college and graduated with a business degree, and after that, attended pastry school. However, when a position became available at Elite Smiles, she was excited to have the opportunity to work here again. Damaris really enjoys being a part of making a great dental experience for the kids we see, as well as for the parents.

Mary Ellen has been a practicing dental hygienist since she graduated from Clayton State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She has been working at Dr. Powells office since 2009 and loves specializing in pediatrics. She has also been known as the local Tooth Fairy around Atlanta.

Robin has been a dental hygienist for six years and a pediatric dental hygienist for four years. After completing her degree from Central Georgia Technical College and starting her career, Robin quickly fell in love with the pediatric specialty.

Anita is certified in expanded functions, bring with her more than seven years of experience when joining our fun, upbeat office in 2017. In addition to assisting Dr. Powell with patient care, Anita also helps at the front desk whenever she is needed. Most of all, Anita enjoys seeing the bright, happy smiles of our patients when they leave the office.

Courtney has been a certified orthodontic assistant for more than seven years, and joined our team in 2019. She cherishes the relationships she builds with her patients and loves seeing their confidence transform throughout treatment.

Outside of orthodontics, Courtney is a photographer. You can find her under Courtney Elyse Photography! She also loves to travel and go on adventures with her two dogs and partner. If shes not working on teeth, Courtney is either behind a camera, her laptop, or outside enjoying the sun!
