Over the years, weve integrated many advanced devices and techniques into our practice to better serve our family of patients. One of the most exciting pieces of technology we use is the iTero. The iTero is a digital impression scanner that constructs a 3D model of your smile with just a few scans. We are excited to use a device that allows us to make more informed treatment decisions and construct perfectly fitting appliances. Beyond our orthodontic treatments, we are excited to offer high-quality teeth-whitening, botox, fillers, and laser gum contouring. Dr. Aliu obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2009 and obtained her Orthodontic training from the great Howard University in the nations capital. Falling in love with the DC area which she now calls home, Dr. Aliu created Elite Orthodontics in 2013 to fulfill her dream of providing amazing orthodontic care to citizens of the area.
Dr. Aliu is licensed to practice in DC, Maryland, Virginia, and also internationally in Nigeria. She is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Maryland State Society of Orthodontics, Robert T. Freeman Dental society, and many other professional organizations.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Aliu spends her free time practicing yoga, working out, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She also enjoys watching reality shows (Bravo and VH1 channels are her guilty pleasure) and loves spending time with her big family.

My treatment experience at Elite Orthodontics was amazing! The timeline provided during the initial consultation was accurate. There was never an issue scheduling appointments and every visit was filled with laughs and humor. I made sure to ask a ton of questions to better understand the process of teeth alignment and Dr. Aliu made sure to provide me with thorough, clear, and concise answers to all of my topics. I'm truly happy with my smile thanks to Elite Orthodontics. I highly recommend Elite Orthodontics to anyone in search of an orthodontist.

I had a great experience. I searched and researched multiple dental places as I was interested in getting laser gum contouring. No one locally would do it as a stand alone procedure. But Elite Orthodontics easily agreed to do it, without the need to get additional services. I was very nervous at first. The procedure itself wasn't bad. You will feel some heat applied to your gums and that is the worst part. But it does not hurt. Your gums will be discolored for a week or two and after that your teeth will be beautiful! I am grateful for Elite Orthodontics. Thank you!

Dr Emike is the best orthodontist that knows her job very well.She did a wonderful job on my daughter's teeth via braces. All I have to say is thank you and to your staff as well.I will recommend anyone to this Dr,you will not regret it. Amazing people to deal with !!!!!

Dr. Aliu and her team are the absolute best. Dr. Aliu is very knowledgeable, hands-on, and down to earth. If you're considering straightening your teeth, come see them first. You will be given a thorough and honest consultation. You will be surrounded by a diverse, and vibrant team. The office is modern, clean, and they use up-to-date technology/equipment. I loveeeee Elite Orthodontics!! I just finished my Invisalign treatment and it was amazing. I love my results. The staff is so sweet and are always respectful. Dr. Aliu is truly the best at what she does. If you're thinking of coming here, GO!! You won't be disappointed.

I truly wanted to leave a five star review because i am absolutely in love with my results however i can't due to the lack of communication and respect for my time. First incident i called to schedule to have my braces taken off which i reiterated to the young lady on the phone only to show up the day of my appointment and be told i was booked for a regular check up.. so i had to make another appointment and take off work.. The next appointment i get there to have my braces taken off and was told to come back hours later to get my retainer. i called before leaving my house to only get there and no one was there.. AGAIN the end results were amazing but if i had to do it again i would probably go somewhere else just due to the respect for my time which i feel like was not taken into consideration at all. Dr. Aliu is great and definitely knows what she is doing however the admin side of things could use help.

Ok I'll been waiting to write this review. Now that my kid has finally gotten her braces off, I just wanted to address some concerns I've had with this business and it's practices. I selected this place because of the great reviews and wanted the best for my kid. The technical portion of the business has been superb. The technicians were awesome. However, they had a very dishonest, shady administrative side that really left me feeling like I was taken advantage of and I realized this few months into the treatment and it seems like the doctor never wants to talk to you. She just leave it to the admin staff. However, those personnel have left the new admin staff seems to be very friendly but still learning. The main issue or warning I want to put out about this place is to MAKE SURE you know all of the cost before signing up. This is one of the most expensive Orthodontics in PG County. I paid $7000 for their services with the intent as they presented to me that ALL services will be provided under that cost. However upon the end of treatment I was told that oral gum treatment from the braces would be an extra $500. Also, replacement retainers are $700 a set and that you should replace those every 6-8 months. And they ONLY give you one set even though it was told to me that retainers would be included in that $7000 cost. All I'm saying is they should have been upfront about ALL COST instead of implying that all services would be covered under the base cost of the treatment

Very friendly staff!! My 7yr old daughter went for her first consultation. She was pretty comfortable and put at ease. The doctor explained the plan for her treatment thoroughly. I was always presented with an opportunity to ask questions and appointment scheduling is very accomodating. Prior to the actual appointment, the staff followed up to confirm the correct information and my chat turned out quite entertaining! I look forward to my daughter's treatment here!
