Took my wife there for a root canal. The wait area is cozy and clean. Dr. Thurman was great, he explained the procedure to us. Doctor and staff were friendly and helpful. Also got same day referral to a Periodontics Doctor for another area. Highly recommend this office.

I'd hate to come off rude typing this but did not get treated today. I was asked over the phone if I wanted to get treated same day. I thought that would be nice of them so I would not have to waste time waiting any more and off work instead of just getting looked at again by the endodontist. Just get it all done, right? Well, sadly, I was dissapointed to see lack of communication they had for programming my first visit with them. I will not be able to count on their word over the phone because they can tell me something else in person, can't count on the appointment programming, might lose half a day off work for doing nothing to me. Can't miss much time off work for all these appointments. I mentioned it once to them but I didn't insist, I'm not one to be rude or cause unpleasantness, I just thought it showed lack of consideration for other peoples time. I was offered no explanation or apology about it, just kept moving me along about my diagnosis visit. These are the things that make up great customer service, not just asking you if you have any other questions. I may have to reconsider my endodontist options.

Called them after a referral from my regular dentist. I was in sudden and extreme pain (which I don't say lightly) under my crown. My dr referred me to them for an eval and root canal. They didn't have availability for a few weeks but once they understood the urgency they were so helpful and accommodating! They were able to squeeze me in the next day for a root canal. The procedure was so comfortable and painless. The lidocaine injections which can sometimes be worse than the work itself, we're completely painless. Didn't even feel them! The dr was amazing and all the assistants made me feel comfortable. I'm pretty sure these angels stayed late for me. I can't recommend them enough. The facility is wonderful and clean. Thank you Elite!!!

I had tremendous anxiety about getting a root canal but had a very positive experience today with Dr. Karriem R. Thurman. His confidence, friendliness and professionalism went a long way in making me feel more comfortable during the procedure. The staff and facility were very nice and made me feel at ease. I appreciate that Dr. Thurman sees VA patients as it's my understanding that the paperwork on these cases (billing, etc.) can be challenging. My only (minor) concern was that the nitrous didn't seem to work for me--not sure if the machine was malfunctioning of if I have a high tolerance but it seemed to have little or no affect. (Not a huge deal but would have probably made the anxiety easier to handle.) All in all, a very positive experience and I'm now 10 hours post-op and have very little discomfort (if any). Thank you Dr. Thurman and team for providing excellent care!

I have to say honesty and ethical service is hard to find sometimes. I am very pleased with the service and information provided by Dr Thurman. I was refered by another doctor that a root canal might be necessary, but after further testing and analyzing my situation it was not needed. Great staff and very comfortable setting!

I went in for a root canal not once, but twice. Once in October and again December 8,2021. I called a week after informing them I still had a lot of pain and discomfort. Dr. Thurman prescribed a Medrol dose pack and hoped the problem would go away. I called back after another week complaining of the same symptoms, and his office said they would request the authorization for a new procedure in December. When I called my insurance, they stated the authorization wasn't even submitted until January 7th. The office didn't contact me until 2/2/22. I was in so much pain, so I went in to see another doctor for a 2nd opinion, because Dr. Thurman's office was still in limbo. The new dentist recommended we immediately extract the tooth. When my tooth was extracted, the root of the tooth was covered with infection. Take into consideration that teeth are linked to your organs, and that if infection is not under control it could cause damage to your organs. I called the office today, 2/11/2022. Mary Anne answered my call. I began to explain and all Mary Ann had to say was that it was my responsibility to follow up with the insurance. She was unmerciful, unsympathetic, and disrespectful interrupting me while I was speaking. She kept saying it was my responsibility to follow up with my insurance. Now, if only the doctors office took accountability for letting a patient sit with a tooth infection for over two months. I can guarantee you that this office does not care about your whole well-being. Had they offered me any cash price options I would've paid up front for any procedure necessary as long as my health wasn't at risk. I had no problem paying them almost $400 and I had no problem paying the new dentist $800 for ozone therapy, and extraction, and PRF therapy since my benefits were out of network. That the tooth I was having trouble with, could affect your thyroid, your breast glands, and your heart. Like I told Mary Ann, I am not just a patient. I am a mother, a daughter, and a wife. We go to providers for help, and if you're too overwhelmed to do your job you don't belong there. The way you treat people even over the phone reflects a lot about you as a person. Dr. Thurman, I hope you take this as a lesson to not disregard patient complaints, and I hope you find people who appreciate their job enough to appreciate the patients who pay you so you could pay their salaries.

The office manager is very unprofessional and rude. I was promised a call back from the Endodontist 4 times and never received a call back from DR. Thurman. The office manager refused me service and disconnected the call because I questioned the consultation fee. NEVER in my life have experienced such horrible and unprofessional service.

The dentist was good and kinda explained things but so many things went wrong in just one visit. the room was not clean from last patient and the blood pressure machine wasn't working and she had to take my BP 4 times and still couldn't get it right! Beside that, I had to pay out of pocket bc they couldn't get hold of my insurance and after 4 months that they've been paid from insurance they haven't issued my money back. So unprofessional staff and management. On both front and back. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Save your money and your life.

Dr. Thurman is exceptional! From the kindest, most empathetic bedside manner to his ability to create a welcoming, calm atmosphere, Dr. Thurman provided great service and f/u and professional care for me when I needed a root canal and tooth pulled as a result of another professionals lack of experience which lead to me having an infection and needing to find a proper specialist. Dr. Thurman was my saving grace! I highly recommend!!

Dr. Thurman was very quick and professional. I have never had a root canal done and I was terrified since the last time I had fillings done it was uncomfortable. Even though I had a complex root anatomy and it took a bit longer than expected, he knocked it out swiftly taking xrays before, during and after. He knew exactly how to numb the area and I did not feel anything whatsoever.

I had a root canal yesterday with Dr Thurman. It was completely painless, I was never uncomfortable. No pain at all since the procedure, I am amazed, I have had other root canals and they were not like this. I was so nervous going in for the root canal. I am telling everyone out there that I recommend Dr Thurman. Hands down, he is the BEST!!! I cannot stop telling everyone how easy the whole process of the root canal was and to use Dr Thurman if you ever need an endodontist. You will not regret using his practice. His staff is great, I do not want to leave them out, everyone was very friendly. Thank you, thank you for a great experience. I could go on and on..... I will be back if I ever need an endodontist. I am passing out your cards. Patty Graham

The rudeness and incompetence of the front desk workers will cost this place of business everything. There are two important things everyone should learn in life: 1. Learn how to read 2. Learn how to do basic math Should you not be fortunate to learn how to do both, you can always count on kindness/respect/integrity to get you far in life. To Mary Anne, you clearly lack all of the above. It was despicable hearing the lady who's office is across from yours tell me that she's been doing accounting for 10 years and yet could not fundamentally understanding that there is a HUGE difference between $907 (what she rudely demanded I pay) and $499.30 (what I actually owed and walked out that day paying). I truly thought as her supervisor and the head of accounting for this office, you of all people would know better but after my interaction with you, it was crystal clear why the people under your management are personally struggling with: * providing quality customer service * understanding how to do basic math * not losing their temper when intelligent inquiries are made regarding questionable account charges Sweetie, you had 6 whole months to do a simple math problem that should have eluded you to the fact that you were over billing me. I had to drive half an hour to your office to teach you how to do basic math (essentially your job) and yet no gratitude or appreciation for my personal and free tutoring skills (SMH). I am a hard working citizen of the United States of America who knows what it means to slave for $1, talk-less of nearly $40. Since you seem not to understand that an apology should be issued for what you treated as a minuscule ~$40 overcharge, I thought I'd share with you some valuable things that can come out of ~$40: 1. Buy gas for 1 week 2. Buy groceries for 1 week 3. Get a manicure/pedicure/hair cut 4. Buy a bus ticket to travel to another state 5. Buy a nice pair of shoes 6. Go on a shopping spree at Dollar Tree 7. Go to the movies twice over 8. Sponsor a child in need overseas 9. Invest in ~40 penny stocks 10. Get a math tutor for one solid hour The ~$40 that I had to personally assist you in understanding was an over charged is 3X the average hourly salary of a laborer in Texas and CLEARLY WAY ABOVE YOUR PAY GRADE! I get that you were afforded a calculator to do your job but I TRULY hope you understand that a calculator is simply a tool to compute the data imputed BUT CANNOT do thinking for you. I can't begin to fathom how many more other customers you've cheated out of their hard earned money due to your grave incompetence. Just because you YELL the same numbers out loud at a customer does not make you anymore correct. I'm glad I was able teach you this very lesson. Lastly, the minuscule ~$40 you tried to over charge me will be ~$40 less your next paycheck because this is LAST TIME I'll ever visit this dental office given the world class rudeness and idiotic behavior of it's front end staff. I doubt you can afford a life coach so this advise is on the house: find a new profession 'cause clearly you suck at this one Ms. 10+ years experience in accounting and still can't do basic math. P.S. Mary Anne don't bother responding as the "owner of business" as you don't even own the desk you sit at let alone Elite Endodontics....

For more than ten years I put up with a root canal that was causing me discomfort and infections because the dentists told me it was fine. Dr. Thurmond saw that this was a poor job done and fixed it for me in only a couple of hours. I feel great and the discomfort is gone. Dr. Thurmond and his staff were pleasant and made me so comfortable I was falling asleep in the chair during a root canal. Not many people would say that ever happened to them! I am so grateful to find Elite Endodontics and I highly recommend their services!

Dr. Thurman is the best! I made the big mistake of going to a dentist in Mexico to have a root canal done. The instrument that he used to do the root canal broke twice inside my tooth and all he did was leave them there and put the sealant on. I had a lot of discomfort and pain. I was was then referred to Dr. Thruman, he did the root canal just the way it needed to be done and he performed a Apicoectomy to remove the pieces of instruments in my tooth. He was very gentle and had great side bedside manners. I highly recommend him, he's the best!
