Dr. Mark Ashy has always felt a special connection to his hometown in Orlando, Florida, where he first discovered his interests in math, science, and working with people. He attended Orlando West Orange High School, and with a Valencia scholarship he accomplished a pre-med undergraduate degree in Nutritional Science from the University of Florida. He earned his degree in dentistry from the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
Nutritional science has a huge connection with our health, translating who we are based on all aspects of our wellbeing. As a family dentist it helps me understand how things work in the body, and when patients come in with unusual symptoms, they can get the special attention they need.
After opening Elite Dentistry in 2005, Dr. Ashy has enjoyed raising his family with his wife, their twin girls, and their son, the youngest in the family. As a local family dentist in Avalon Park, he enjoys bringing family values into the office, where each patient can feel welcome to come over and have a soothing, friendly experience.
One of the things I enjoy most about what we do here, is when we see kids, and then ten, maybe twelve years lateryoull pop that picture in front of them of their very first visit and say, Hey, I remember this little guy!
Year after year, Dr. Ashy has had the fortune to get to see his patients change and grow. When hes not in the office, youll find him spending quality time with his own growing family! Hes proud to be the neighborhood dentist you can bring your family to.
Dr. Chris Chard is originally from Maitland and Lake Mary, Florida, where he attended Lake Mary High School and graduated from the University of Florida with honors in Physics, Math, and Chemistry. After attaining the highest honors from the University of Florida College of Dentistry, he was recognised with the Pierre Fauchard Award and Phi Kappa Phi Award.
I felt moved to pursue dentistry because I was fascinated by the human body and its physiology. I have always had a desire to help rectify diseases and the pathology associated with it. Furthermore, dentistry offered a unique aspect of artistry, detail and precision.
Dr. Chard enjoys working with those in need, whether hes assisting patients in the office or participating with community outreach centers such as the Good Samaritan Clinic and foreign travel for dental outreach and education.
As a dentist, its fulfilling to have the opportunity to make people happy and achieve results that are above a patients expectations. I especially enjoy accomplishing an excellent result with complex or difficult situations.
When a patient comes in for dental care, Dr. Chards goal is to provide a custom treatment plan that meets the patients goals and desires and is juxtaposed with achieving quality oral health. In his free time, you may find Dr. Chard spending time with his family and playing with his 6-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter. He is passionate about travelling, surfing, and engaging in competitive sports such as volleyball!

My previous review of Elite Dentistry gave them a rave review for their professionalism and the way they treat their patients. Two years later and the office is still wonderful. Dr. Ashy and his staff are skilled and always strive to get the best outcome for their patients. After a bout with cancer and chemo (that did a number on some of my caps) the office bent over backwards to address my specific needs. I also need to give special thanks to MaryElise and Brittany in the front office. They not only greet you with huge smiles when you walk into the office, but they are excellent with regard to dealing with insurance plans and gave me a significant amount of help and information when I had to appeal to my insurance provider due to my chemo issues. A huge thanks to the entire office!!

I was fortunate enough to get an emergency appt here for a bad toothache, and thank goodness I found them. Office is clean, staff very friendly throughout. The young woman who took me back was so awesome during my visit. Dr. Ashy was personable, gentle, listened, and took his time to explain what was needed and why, and the order in which to do them with no salesy bs. The office took care of making an appt for the oral surgeon and I was on my way with prescriptions in hand. I was made comfortable and felt welcomed here. Please note that I absolutely hate going to the dentist...but this place I will be returning to. I highly recommend Dr. Ashy and team at Elite Dentistry and thank them for the efficient and wonderful service they provided me!

Dr. Ashby is the best dentist and the best, friendliest staff. I so appreciate this entire office. I am going to happily recommend them to everyone! It's hard to find someone so caring and gentle- that's exactly what I needed and they did care and were extremely caring and took their time with me. I'm very grateful to have found this office.

My whole family has been seeing Dr Mark Ashy (Elite Dentistry) for about 12 years. Since last year their service has gone down, I was fine with being referred to other dentists for root canals, but now it has become very hard to schedule a hygienist appointment with them. They dont have hygienist appointments available for 8 months out for existing patients. If a patient is running late for a hygienist appt, their front desk lady refuses to provide you service as well as refuse to reschedule the appt and ask you to wait until there is a cancellation and on top of that they send you a $50 charge for a no show. When I requested them to waive the no show fee since they were the ones who didn't want to see me because I was 20 min late, they sent me a letter that they don't want to see me anymore. Their front desk staff (Ann/Lisa Marie) is driving existing patients away by their attitude, they just lost business for four of us.

Both my husband and I are new in the area and Elite Dentistry was one of the most best rated dentistry by customers via many sites, including our insurance! Indeed this Dentistry merits this rating! ....from the professional reception, the preparedness, knowledge and coordination to the quality of service from the staff and Dr. Ashy whom was very thorough in our treatment plans.

Been going to Elite Dentistry since we moved here in 2005. Absolutely love everything about them. Office is immaculate and staff is extremely helpful. Dr. Ashy is professional and very knowledgeable. Next time you go in for a cleaning, ask for Laura she's the best!

I have absolutely nothing but great things to say about Elite Dentistry, the name "Elite" is very accurate. From the time I walk in until the time I leave, it feels like I'm hanging out with family while getting my dental work done. Everyone is so friendly and the staff is very knowledgeable, they are definitely Elite!

I highly recommend Elite Dentistry. I do not recommend dental insurance. Insurance companies are criminal. Elite Dentistry is not. Members of Elite treat their clients as family. Yes, you should make the switch.
