Dr. Elisa Nelson graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 1992. Following her dental school education, she completed a general practice residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center. After her residency program she went onto practicing dentistry in Woodhaven along with her father, Henry Nelson DDS who is also an NYU College of Dentistry graduate.
Dr. Nelson was invited to return to NYU College of Dentistry as an Associate Clinical Professor for the Department of Oral Medicine and Pathology, where she was the clinic chief for the admissions and emergency clinic. In 1996, she began private practice here on Long Island.
At Elisa B. Nelson Family & Cosmetic Dentistry we provide quality comprehensive oral healthcare for your whole family. Our patients include families of all ages from young children to grandparents and great-grandparents. We build lifelong relationships at our dental office for a lifetime of wellness! Most of our new patients are referred to our office by our current patients. We consider this to be the highest compliment our patients can give us. We are happily accepting new patients who value their health as much as we do. We provide preventative, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry for patients of all ages. With our patient-centered approach to dentistry, our goal is to educate patients with all necessary information to make an informed decision with Dr. Nelson on their dental needs.

Dedicated, highly qualified, and caring group of professionals. I just completed my quarterly cleaning and had a new hygienist. She was wonderful and I was very happy with the job she did. Dr. Nelson's office never disappoints!

New patient. Dr Nelson has good reviews. Good experience w hygienist. Dr Nelson comes in - zero bedside manner- very cold- looks on my mouth decides in seconds that I need 2 crowns - despite the fact that both teeth are operational. Her call. All about the money. Then tells me I have Leukoplakia. Sends me to an oral surgeon for a second look. Dr. Francis takes one look and says 99.999% you don't have this. "You have multiple areas. Cancer is never multiple areas. She should know that. But since she sent you I have to do a couple of biopsy's". A lot to do about nothing. Now I have a $1000 bill from my oral surgeon incl a wasted pathology lab. And a bunch of not needed pain. Had she spent anytime researching she'd know that's it's simply Tori and the additional bone caused a mini dental shelf on my gums that rubs food when I eat. A complete waste of time, money and pain. Was she being through .....yes. But did she miss diagnose- according to my oral surgeon YES. Just wasted $1000.

Dr. Nelson & staff continue to make going to the dentist quite enjoyable. I have had nothing but subpar experiences with my past dentists and that ended here. Cant wait for my next appointment :)

My brother a number of years ago told us about the dentist he used. Me, my husband and daughter started going to Dr. E. Nelson. We have never been happier with the service we receive from her staff. They are respectful and very friendly. Dr Nelson never disappoints. Your looking for a dentist that knows what she is doing and always has a smile for you, visit Dr. Nelson.

I always knew Dr Nelson was good at what she does. Now I can speak from my own personal experience. When I tell our patients that shes gentle, caring, reassuring and knows what she is doing I can say it with affirmation. I never felt the injection to get numb, another plus in my book!!! I love that Dr Nelson is always on time. You don't need to keep the rest of your day 'open' because you will be out of the office on time as well. Dr Nelson always tells you what she is doing as she is doing it. You always know what to expect.

Only dentist and team I trust for the past ten years!!! Dr. Nelson truly care for her patients and makes you feel soooo comfortable!!! Dr Nelson is very knowledgeable and honest. She was able to fill my tooth rather than go through a crown (a large cost savings). The wait is never more than a few minutes.Good music plays in the office to distract you.

I have been a patient of Dr Nelson's for over twenty years and I have never had a bad experience. Dr Nelson truly cares, is honest, genuine and responsive.
