My experience was with Dr. Odin Waite. He pulled an infected wisdom tooth out that was very difficult to numb with local anesthesia. Another dentist was unable to numb it at all and could not pull it. His staff are friendly and explain everything. Some comments I saw here complain of his bedside manner, but I want to point out that he is a very skilled and talented dentist. He works efficiently and hard, he does the job very well and skillfully while explaining key factors of what's being done in a calm, respectable, and polite manner. He shows no judgment or discrimination to people with bad teeth. His office is very busy and the doctor does not waste time with unnecessary long pleasantries and drawn out unrelated small talk. His staff though are very friendly and are more than willing to talk to you about everything personal and medical related in detail. We are lucky to this Dentist in Elgin!

The doctor is unprofessional and very cold. I spoke to him about some concerns and he shrugged it off like it was nothing. I paid so much money to get my wisdom teeth out, so my concerns should not be "shrugged" off. He said some very unprofessional, unnecessary things. As a doctor, he should be saying things to make me feel better. Instead, he spoke to me in a condescending way and made me feel completely incompetent. So rude and negligent, try to care a little bit about your patients. Does not even deserve 1 star. I would have said something but I was so shocked at how rude he was so I just left.

I got my wisdom teeth removed at Elgin Oral & Maxillofacial and my experience was superb! They took care of me in a very timely manner and were very knowledgeable, making sure I understood everything and answered any questions I had. They have a very clean and well kept office with very welcoming staff. I would recommend Elgin OMS to anyone and everyone!

THE BEST ORAL SURGEON. I got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled out. And no pain at all, second day i couldn't even believe i got my teeth pulled out. I do not have a high pain tolerance at all. He is great at his work!!! I was very fortunate to be referred to him!

Not sure why I thought getting 2 implants at one time was a good idea? But did it anyway. I was quiet anxious when I went in for my appt. Both Dr. Waite and Nurse Kim were awesome! They work really well together. Nurse Kim, calmed me down and checked in on me often. Dr. Waite does an excellent job on the implants! Looked perfect! It was painless and almost pleasant except I was getting implants. Thanks to the Doctor, Nurse and whole staff for a great experience. I would highly recommend!

I had recently gotten all 4 my wisdom teeth removed. The procedure went very well, I did not experience bruising, only a small bit of swelling a day after the procedure which is 100% expected. I have very pale skin and bruise easy, so I pleasantly surprised to experience no bruising at all. Since the procedure, I have had a few questions here and there as far as maintaining a good healing process, and they make it very easy and instant to contact them. Even when it is after business hours and the office is closed. Very satisfied with how everything has been handled.

Wisdoms teeth removal. Amazing staff, clean office, great experience (for oral surgery haha). I go to college out of state and started experiencing pain from my impacted wisdom teeth. It got painful pretty quickly. Their office is near my hometown. I called and they scheduled me for an appointment right away on very short notice. I was expecting to have to wait months before I could get an appointment. So helpful. From the moment I walked in, to the time the staff helped me into my car, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. Reception was friendly and staff made me feel very comfortable. Surgery went very smooth. And they even sent me home with a little treat :) Highly recommend!

Horrible experience, if you want to be treated like a dog I highly recommend this place, not professional at all, doctor is rude and acts like a rich king around a bunch of peasants.. Constantly said "if you have the money" "if you can afford this" We own our own company and multiple businesses so money was never the issue..and would never treat a customer the way these people did, definitely wouldn't leave my loved one in that guys care, if your thinking of going I'll save ya $225 and gas because this place is a JOKE!

As satisfying an experience as you can have...given you're having an extraction and have high dental-anxiety!! Calming explanations from nurse Tammy,; professional, yet friendly, demeanor from Dr. Waite on a day that was obviously busy. Appreciative of the entire experience.

Had a 2nd molar extracted last week for a suspected vertical root fracture. Dr. Waite and his staff were great. His waiting room is really nice and spacious and immaculately clean. Dr. Waite and his assistant both did a very nice job. He got the tooth out without any complications while I was awake, and my pain afterward was not bad. He then showed me exactly where the vertical root fracture was, which made me feel better about getting it removed. I highly recommend him and his office. And I plan on returning to get a couple of implants put in.

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Waite! Going in for oral surgery is scary, I felt confident that he would give good care after our consult...however he gave SUPERIOR care that I hadn't experienced from any other surgeon. Very personable, thorough exam, and easy recovery. I recommend this office to all my family & friends! Thank you Dr. Waite!

I just got home from having a wisdom tooth removed. It was at a strange angle. They were very awesome about my fear of needles. They also allowed me to use sound cancelling headphones that allowed me to remove my mind from what was taking place. I have a huge fear of dentists and all dental work I have ever had done. They were wonderful making me feel comfortable. Great staff.

Extremely unsatisfied with my visit, Things started off great the front desk was awesome setting up my appointment and very accommodating. But once I met the doc, he was cold, no bed side manner and very unprofessional. I work in the medical setting and its my biggest pet peeve when someone tries to tell you the pain that you are feeling when they aren't you! He was completely missing the things I was telling him and adamant that he was correct in there being no solution but a diet change and mouth guard to help my mouth ( because he has the same issue so our cases are the exact same...), yet had no reference of my diet or sleeping habits... Not sure if he was having an off day but to me it seemed from the start of my appointment he wanted absolutely nothing to do with me... So now I am stuck returning to my dentist for further solutions upon his order, when I was sent here for help... the revolving door continues....

Went here for my wisdom teeth removal over the summer, where I had all 4 removed. It was such an easy and painless experience. No issues at all - and the staff was incredible! Highly recommend! :)

Got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed (3 fully impacted, 1 partial) about two months ago. This was the first time I've had to be knocked out for a surgery and the experience went very well. The nurses and Dr. Waite made sure I was comfortable throughout and the entire process exceeded my expectations.

I don't know how ya got all these 5 star reviews. Was not impressed seemed as if I was a bother. I won't go into detail but need to improve your chair side manner. You make good money for 30 min of work we are not cattle we are in pain. A little caring goes a long way.
