Dr. Slavin was born and raised in Chicago. Growing up as the last of six children he wanted to have a big family of his own. Now he has six children (four boys and two girls) and a labradoodle dog named Webster, and a cat named, Mister.
Our doctor chose dentistry (specifically periodontics) because it allowed him to use his creative and artistic abilities, as well as, scientific knowledge to solve patients healthcare needs. For him, the best part of his job is to be able to participate in the process of solving significant or complex oral health and medical issues.
Dr. Slavins main interests in dentistry are periodontics, dental implants, bone and soft tissue grafting. He is a board-certified periodontist and has been awarded the title of Top Periodontist in Chicago Magazine for the years of 2016, 2017, and 2018 through the votes of his peers.
Growing up in Hoffman Estates, Dr. Kuttab completed his undergraduate and dental degrees at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). He graduated from dental school in 2008 and completed his residency at Northwestern University/Ann and Robert H Lurie Childrens Hospital of Chicago in 2010. A few years later, in 2012, he married his wife Vera, and they have two beautiful children, Annelise and Abraham.
Dr. Kuttabs interest in dentistry began in the fourth grade when his family dentist allowed him to be of assistance during procedures when working on his mom. This gave him a real taste of helping people and being part of a dental team.
Since then, he has achieved his dream and now works as a pediatric dentist. For Dr. Kuttab, the best part of his profession is to have the ability to connect with children at a level that parents did not think was possible.
Dr. Patels journey began 8,676 miles away, in a city named Morogoro in Tanzania, a country located on the east coast of Africa. He later spent his pre-teen and early teen years in Ndola, Zambia, and then moved for his high school years to London, England.
His voyage to the United States took place years later in 1979, where he finished his undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Physiology at Southern Illinois. After finishing school, he got married and has three wonderful children: Jason, Sarina, and Justin.
Dr. Patel chose dentistry because he wanted to have the ability to create beautiful and healthy smiles. He loves his profession, which he also describes as his passion. He completed his Doctorate in Dental Surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois and his residency in Orthodontics at Indiana University. Since then, he continues to attend education courses in orthodontics to keep on top of the latest industry developments.

From the moment you make an appointment at Elgin Dental Associates you know this place is something special. They send a couple reminders of your upcoming appointment giving ample time to reschedule if need be. Filling out new patient or updating your medical information is easy since you can do it online before the day of your appointment. The front office staff are warm and welcoming! They even asked after other family members who are also patients there. Throughout my appointment I felt calm and relaxed and cared about by every person I encountered. That's huge when considering prior to finding Elgin Dental Associates I had been traumatized by a dental experience and was terrified of that reoccurring. The dentist listened to me and explained step by step what was going to occur, including stopping if I wanted to. I have been a patient here for almost six years now and I have never encountered a more caring, dedicated, and professional team as Elgin Dental Associates! If you need to go to the dentist, there is no better place. You'll be in good hands!

This practice is phenomenal with children. I have been taking my daughter here for 6 years and today she had a baby tooth pulled. Dr. Johnny and the hygienist were amazing! It was a positive and painless experience for my daughter. I definitely recommend their office for pediatric care.

Very nice & kind staff everyone was very welcoming since I walked in the door sandy & 2 other receptionist were awesome super friendly as well as the assistants overall everyone was amazing. The hygienist shenika & Dr. hang were great on explaining all procedures they would work on & what I had to get done, both very gentle & professional. Loved the service by far the best dental office I've been too.
