I grew up in Kaneohe, Hawaii, where both my parents are physicians. I attended college at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. During that time, I took a two-year break from school to do a church mission in Arizona. When I returned home, I met my wife, Rose. Together, we have five kids (three girls and two boys).

I attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, graduating in 2011. I served as an Army dentist from 2011-2017. While in the Army, I had the opportunity to do a two-year general dentistry residency program, which helped me gain a deeper appreciation for all aspects of dentistry.

During my freshman year of college, I got into an accident while snowboarding and had to go to the dentist. The dentist there was so nice and really seemed to enjoy what he was doing and got me out of a lot of pain!

Best day of my life was the day I married my wife, Rose! The decision I made to marry her has helped mold me into the man I am today. She is the greatest cheerleader, best friend, and most trusted confidant that I could have ever asked for.

First time visiting this dental office. Broke a tooth and got me in within day's. I was put with a Dr that was helping out think Dr. Waller? I hope he's permanent. I've never have had such great care. Also his assistant was amazing

I really dont care for going to the dentist. My dad took me to see marathon man when I was about eight years old. Watch the dentist scene in that Its enough to terrorize anyone. Either way, today the nitrous didnt work on me at all. Im undergoing some medical stuff and I take a lot of therapies, and I figure thats what blocked it out. The good news is this Edith was my hygienist or dentist today I dont know which one she is. I dont know if shes got a tiny hands or what, but she did not cause one bit of pain during my visit, and trust me, there was a lot for them to clean up. I think she actually found a whole chicken wing between two of my molars. I can write all sorts of drivel, but the fact is she did something nobody else has done, which is literally no pain dentistry without any anesthesia whatsoever. I was amazed, every other time Ive not had nitrous its just been really difficult for me. Not today, so much so I may just save the 60 bucks and not get nitrous next time. oh, I left one thing out: due to the medical treatment and therapy my mouth, tongue, nose, anything with the mucous membrane is really sensitive. Didnt matter. No pain. If somebody wants to make a good investment, and if shes interested, consider paying her way through dental school, I think shes a hygienist,, but shed make one hell of a good dentist if shes not one already. I have to go drink whiskey and smoke a Marloboro...its what I do, Im an American. thanks for reading

1111 Dental is such a great place! The setting on the bluff overlooking the Port Angeles Harbor is breathtaking. The people are so friendly and both Dr Birch and Dr Carlisle are super good at what they do. The equipment is very modern and the place is exceptionally clean and inviting. The dental hygienists that I have worked with are excellent. My newest hygienist, Edith is my all time favorite. She is gentle, precise, and very good to at what she does. Thanks to everyone involved with 1111 Dental.

I just love Edith who is my hygienist. She is sweet, gentle, informative, competent and efficient. Such a nice person who makes the dental experience less of a challenge. No lectures from Edith for which I am grateful.

I'm relatively new to the area and chose 1111 Dentistry based on recommendations from co-workers. I had my first filling done by Dr. Carlisle this morning and I am extremely happy with his work! The filling was quick and painless, and there was a cool kite collection on the ceiling to admire while work was underway. Now that the numbing has worn off I can tell he made sure the filling jives well with my bite. The staff here is very professional and friendly. Until moving here I had the same dentist my entire adult life and was concerned about finding a new one. I feel very lucky to have landed here and know my teeth are in good hands!

I am not an easy dental patient. Between sinus irritation and esophageal irritation, I am constantly trying not to gag, and despite my best efforts, failing most of the time.I 've been going to 1111 Dental for a little over a year now with Edith as my hygienist. During my visits, I have felt nothing but compassion and honest patience (zero condescension!) for the entire cleaning visit. Even though I 'm quite positive I 'm screwing up her schedule for the afternoon with me needing to go slower.I 'm one of those silly 'Don 't give out 5 stars' people so I can save 5 stars for the truly exceptional places. 1111 Dental earned every bit of it.

This dental office is the best! Dr. Birch did an amazing job on my root canal. My mouth isn't sore or tender AT ALL! Side note: I'm THEE biggest baby with dental work. I hate the thought of it hurting at all, even a tiny bit. Dr.Birch made sure I was comfortable the whole time and didn't feel a thing. Thankful that I found a great dentist in the area! 11 11 Dental is the best!!

In my decades of receiving dental care, Carrie is the best hygienist Ive experienced. Shes very professional and explains all the phases of the treatment process. She goes out of her way to make sure you dont experience any pain. She really creates a positive experience! Insurance companies are cutting back on what they cover so you probably want to check with your insurance, if youre cost conscious. Find out exactly what youre scheduled for and call your insurance company first.

Everyone is so nice and really concerned about your care and comfort. I have no pain threshold and thank goodness for nitrous! They even let me listen to my iPad while doing a root canal! I cant say enough nice things.

Saturday evening one of my crowns fell out, new to the area without a local dentist I called Eleven Eleven first thing Monday morning since Dr. Carlisle was recommended by my daughter who is a practicing dentist out of Portland. I went in at noon and after a brief exam Dr. Carlisle cemented the crown in indicating it should be good for another 20 to 30 years. This was a very pleasant experience with a good result at a very reasonable cost.

I just had my teeth cleaned and it was the best experience Ive ever had at a cleaning. I have very sensitive teeth and normally jump out of the chair a few times. The hygienist used ultrasonic cleaning and there was no pain. I highly recommend Carrie.

I was very pleased with my entire visit. From the front office to my actual dental treatment with Dr Carlisle and his wonderful assistant. I was in extreme pain and thought this was going to be a very expensive treatment for my tooth He offered a few simple solutions to start with. Best dentist Ive ever seen! Dr. Carlisle has very good chair side manner and he addresses problem teeth in a way that doesnt make you feel embarrassed. My whole family has now moved to his office and I hope he lives forever and never leaves dentistry! Him and his team are really that great!

The staff is very supportive and caring, and Dr. Carlile is thorough when going over options with patients. Also they are quick and efficient, I had an extraction that lasted less than an hour. I'm definitely sticking with this office for my dental needs!

I have serious dental issues and the staff at Eleven Eleven always take care of me with compassion and The dentists there have saved several teeth that others would have just removed. I love Dr. Carlyle and the staff at Eleven Eleven Dental. I have had bad experiences at dentists so over the years, would not go. When I finally came here, he had his work cut out. I had a lot of work and high anxiety. But he is calm, nice and so good at what he does that I barely felt anything. I now have zero anxiety going in when there is a problem. I even got my husband in who was like me and he won't go anywhere else. All of the assistants are professional & kind. And honestly, you couldn't have a more beautiful office looking out over the Straits. He is my first favorite dentist.

Dental Hygienist, Chelsea, is amazing! I have receding gums and nerve sensitivity and she is very understanding and makes cleanings as painless as possible. I dont dread getting my teeth cleaned anymore! Dr. Carlisle is also great and gentle and explains everything very thoroughly.

The staff at eleven eleven dental are all super friendly and helpful. I've had a lot of dental work done and Dr. Carlile is so patient and explains everything he's going to be doing. I've been to other dentist in town but I wont go anywhere else after coming here.

I cannot say enough about this practice. The entire staff is warm, caring, and incredibly welcoming. I've been here a few times now and each experience is the same, polite, friendly staff, excellent care, and consideration. My experience has taken going to the dentist from an incredibly shameful and tough experience, to one that I maybe don't look forward to (because let's face it, we aren't at the dentist to have the time of our lives) but at place and experience that isn't terrifying or embarrassing. Also of note, Dr. Carlile ALWAYS says please and thank you when taking to his assistants, hygienists, and staff in general. This might seem trivial , but you will not meet a more down to earth and respectful dentist ever. I have been coming to this practice for years. When the previous dentist retired and Dr.Birch came to the practice he showed much patience and was very kind to the patients. Where most dentists just do the basics how are you, Dr. Birch and staff, treat you with respect and you become friends.They like to hear the adventures I go on and I like to hear about their families. Its nice to know that despite being busy, they genuinely care about each patient and their families. The staff is always so kind too,and its a busy office. Dr. Birch is a fine dentist, and a good neighbor for over 20 years. I like the hygienists he has chosen, which have been with him for many years. They are friendly and do good work. His cavity work is very good. (I have had a few done by him). It feels smooth to the tongue and always works out well for many years.

I grew up in Kennewick, WA. While earning my undergraduate degree at Eastern Washington University, I met what would become my future wife Lorraine, Rainy. Her hometown was Port Angeles, WA, and on many subsequent trips to visit I quickly fell in love with the area. Both my wife and I have degrees in biology, and we were both employed as environmental scientists after undergraduate school.

Steven Matheson was my dentist growing up, and he mentored me into the profession. While J. Martin Anderson, the restorative chair at the University of Washington, inspired me to focus on restorative skills and to be relentless in the pursuit of excellence from diagnosis to delivery to follow up.

Every day doing dentistry, there is a spectrum of life most people do not get to see from the very old to the very young and everything in between. I didnt know that part of dentistry would be so rewarding.

I race with team Silver Sleeves in the 24 hours of LeMans endurance races and like fixing old mini coopers. I also produce the Cooper Stripes blog and am still involved with Scouting (ex-scout master).

I was born in Port Angeles and spent time in Oregon for school and work as a vets assistant. I moved back to my hometown to be close to my big family. I love to ride horses and am a mom to a four-legged pup named Maci.

My mom has been a dental assistant my whole life, two of my sisters are assistants, and one is at hygiene school, so I am just following the family business. It has been a great career for them, which sparked my interest. Plus, I love helping people and see friendly smiling faces every day!

As a dental hygienist, I want to not only treat my patients with great care but also educate them on how to maintain healthy mouths at home. I truly enjoy getting to know my patients, seeing them for recalls, and being able to watch their progress with home care.

Outside of the office, I have a real love of music. I have sung since I was little and mostly sing for fun now. I also enjoy the outdoors and activities such as hiking and paddle boarding. I hope to travel to Australia and New Zealand soon. I love experiencing new cultures.
