Shalini Sethi, DDS, is a highly skilled periodontist that has been practicing in private practice for more than 15 years. Her expertise includes a wide range of periodontal surgeries such as dental implants, full mouth rehabilitation, Teeth-in-a-day, periodontal disease treatment, and oral cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Sethi attended the University of Maryland College Park where she earned her bachelors degree in Microbiology. After graduating college, Dr. Sethi attended the University of Maryland at Baltimore Dental School and then went on to complete a one-year General Residency at the Miami VA hospital.
Dr. Sethi developed a passion for surgery after training at the VA hospital. She then was accepted into the prestigious three-year residency at the world-renowned Periodontics program at the University of Pennsylvania. She trained with the masters and innovators of Periodontics and has expanded her clinical knowledge to become a speaker and consultant for implant companies as well as training other doctors in surgeries.
Dr. Sethi also loves to help people and travel and is able to intertwine her passions by going on dental mission trips to Vietnam and the Dominican Republic with Operation Smile. She contributes her dental expertise to the under-served population and assisting with cleft lip and palate surgeries. She has also participated in local community services that help patients with no dental insurance.
Dr. Sethi is a native of Maryland and has been Baltimores Top Doctors for 2013 and 2019. She loves being a clinician and most importantly developing a comfortable relationship between her and the patients.
Dr. Sumitra Yalamanchili is a Maryland native. After high school, she was accepted into a 7-year dental program at Muhlenberg College. Graduating a year early from college, she pursued her Masters in public health at George Washington University. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland Dental School.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Yalamanchili completed a one-year GPR program at the VA Medical Center in Philadelphia and went on to complete her oral and maxillofacial surgery training at St. Josephs Regional Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey (2009). As a chief resident, Dr. Yalamanchili was awarded a scholarship for recognition as an outstanding resident in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Yalamanchili is fully trained in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Her primary interests are in dentoalveolar surgery, third molar extractions, dental implants, including full-arch fixed prostheses, and intravenous anesthesia. Dr. Yalamanchili maintains her hospital privileges at Greater Baltimore Medical Center and University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center and also operates at Towson Surgical Center.
Dr. Yalamanchili is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a member of The MidAtlantic Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, The Maryland Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. She is also an anesthesia evaluator for the Maryland State Dental Board. Dr. Yalamanchili has been recognized in Baltimore magazine as a Top Doc for several years including 2020.

This Place Caters to Giant Babies. I had an extraction last Friday of one of my molars and I was a nervous wreck. I haven't had an extraction in a very long time and was expecting the worst experience of my life. I quickly had to change my way of thinking once I contacted the office. The office staff really made me feel comfortable, and most importantly the office was clean and neat. The thing that really helped me through this was the AMAZING Dr. Y and her assistant Amanda. They both made sure to explain everything to me before we even started. The whole extraction took only seconds. It felt like pulling a baby tooth out when you're a kid. This place takes care of your mindset and your teeth.

I had to have all of my wisdom teeth extracted and I didn't exactly know what to expect, since I've never had teeth pulled. Needless to say, the extractions were gruesome, BUT Dr. Yalamanchili and the Dental Assistant working with her, Sarah, were phenomenal! They explained everything thoroughly and consistently checked in with me throughout the procedure to make sure I was as comfortable as one could be while having teeth removed, haha! They worked well together and were so pleasant and patient with me, as I was quite nervous going in. Thank you so much, ladies! I'm glad I got two of the best for my procedure! :)

I had my a wisdom tooth extracted and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I highly recommend them if you need an extraction.

I have been coming to elevate for a little over a year . What I can say certainly is so far the work that has been done is top notch . What I don't like is the lack of communication and when I questioned things I'm given a simple answer that doesn't answer my question . I have a huge problem with pain . I have made this perfectly clear from the beginning. What I have a problem with is this is ignored . Everytime I get an implant I make it clear that I don't want to be uncomfortable. However I always have to call for days for help to not be in pain . I went today and she told me to take Motrin I had two left from a previous medical procedure.,didn't help . I called as usual for assistance . Someone will call me back and you guessed it ,no one did . The straw that broke the camel back for me was when the doctor advised me that I gained weight and how much I gained that wasn't a problem because I knew what . This I know but she didn't stop there she also proceeded to tell me what my BMI was . This is the dentist not my medical doctor or the weight loss doctor. I wasn't here to discuss my BMI but the doctor was very comfortable with telling me about it . I feel that was not only unprofessional but tasteless and mean . I am just tired at this point mainly with my pain management. My dental health suffered for so many years because of the dentist /specialist failed to care about my pain and my fear of the dentist for these reasons . Regardless of how you feel about a patient for any reason. Respect them and what they request . In closing if you are not fat and okay with pain and need an implant this is the place for you .

Most painful tooth extraction ever both during and after; worse than when I had 4 wisdon teeth taken out at once and one was impacted growing sideways. Worst recovery time-- the girl swung my head around over and over while grasping the tooth as if she didn't know what she was doing or didn't care, and laughed like it was funny. Extremely hard on jaw and facial bones and also gave me a hellish earache and facial pain that won't go away. As well as being incapacitated for the longest time. One thing she was good at was boasting about her skills.

Very professional and personable staff. Amazing customer service. Dr Sethi informed me of every step that would be performed during the procedure. Her assistant Mrs. Shawna took very good care of me and assured me that I had nothing to worry about. I had a very minor procedure done, so I was in and out of the chair in 30 min. Very good staff ! Great customer service ! and I am very satisfied with the results.
