I have been coming to Dr. Callis since I moved to Flat Rock many years ago. I was TERRIFIED of the dentist until I started seeing her. My teeth were awful. Dr. Callus has done everything; fillings, root canals, extractions, crowns..... everything. Today I had 4 front crowns placed and walked out a brand new person. Full of confidence and non stop Smiling!!! The cosmetic work that she did today was absolutely flawless!!!! Highly, highly recommend her! My kids love her as well. We also love Mary-Jo, her assistant AND Lisa at the front desk. Cannot say enough good things.

Dr Callis, Mary Jo & Lisa are all friendly, caring, and efficient. This is not one of those mega dental offices with multiple dentists and a massive waiting room. This is a hidden gem in a strip mall at Telegraph & Van Horn. I'm in the process of having major dental work done (extractions, caps, bridges etc) and Dr Callis has handled it all. No referrals to a specialist needed. Look, going to the dentist is never "fun", but this is as relaxing an atmosphere as your going to get. And also with top shelf dental work. Give Dr Callis & staff a try, you won't regret it.

After leaving in tears today, I will never return. There are several dentists that I can go to in the area. I will be taking but business elsewhere. Why? Dr. Callis didn't even bother to come into the room to discuss what was going on or why I was unable to have my procedure done today. She sent her dental assistant to talk to me. I was given wavers for work that needed to be completed but the doctor never came in to answer my questions about what I was signing. I would really like to discuss possible complications with my doctor prior to signing a waver that says I can have nerve damage or that my work may not look aesthetically pleasing. I found this very unprofessional and rude. I took time off of work to make this appointment and the Doctor never saw me or spoke with me about why she couldn't treat me or complications that could occur. As I was leaving she stood in the reception area and asked if I took my Valium today. That was it. No assistance despite the fact that I was very upset about the situation. I regret returning after several previous incidents that took place at the office. 1. One time I came in and a new dental assistant was working (she was about 18). The Dr asked her to numb me and the girl asked "do you want to show me how?" As a nervous patient this was very distressing to witness. I get that everyone starts out new but at least ask of I am comfortable with a trainee. 2. I came in for a root canal and inquired if I would be also having the 2 fillings on the same side done that day (it was discussed at a previous appt). The Dr replied "I don't have time, I am already skipping lunch for this." I found this very rude and unprofessional. A simple "I think you will be more comfortable if we wait" would have sufficed. Instead I was left to feel like I was a burden. 3. Upon working with a new provider we discovered that a crown placed about a year ago was not properly fitted. I explained to my dr that it smelled when flossing. They stated that a crown should last longer than a year and that this should have been picked up during my exam as it was visible on my x ray. I really wanted to like this dentist and this office as its a local business and female run but I cant over look the poor service and behavior of a professional.

Very good dentist! Dr. Callis is great! She and all the staff are very friendly. Dr. Callis does great work, gives very good "shots", very personable, and explains what and why for any procedure prescribed. All the staff are friendly, polite, and personable. Most recently, I had Lauren as a DH. She was very good. Was thorough, painless, knowledgeable, informative, and personable. Will ask for her again. Friendly, efficient, professional.

Went there for an appointment, they cancelled day of because Dr Callis had a migraine. If I would have done that I would have been fined, BUT I was understanding. Went there for an appointment and they messed up my partial, blaming the company. So I went home with nothing again, but no problem, I was understanding. Took my daughter in for an appointment, she had an insurance change and I wasn't sure if they'd take it. They said it's fine, put her in the chair. Then they found out they didn't take it, and billed me. When I complained, I was told it was my fault. Collection agency is after me now. The hygienists are great! Dr Callis's front desk gang are awful. AWFUL. OH, when I said we were done as patients she got snarky and said were already non patients. Nice. She also hung up on me when I said I wanted to speak to Dr Callis.
