Pediatric dentists are specially trained to handle the psychological and emotional needs of children in the dental environment. At ele-dent pediatric dentistry, we think it is important for you to feel confident about the health practitioner you choose for your child, so we are including some background information.
Dentistry has reached a point where we can prevent most dental problems. Dental decay should be a thing of the past and working together, we can effectively prevent your child from ever having a dental problem. Fluorides, sealants (protective coatings placed on the tooths chewing surfaces) and regular cleanings can ensure your child a healthy, decay-free dentition.
Parents are often unsure what to tell their child before their first dental visit. You have chosen a pediatric office and should feel comfortable that we will present things to your child in a non-threatening manner and allay any fears he/she may have. The best approach for parents is to simply tell the child that he/she is going to the dentist to have their teeth counted and cleaned and there will be many new things to see and play with. Most children are very receptive to this and look forward to the new experience.
Our philosophy is to actively include the children in everything that is going on. They will be given decisions to make regarding toothpaste and fluoride flavors, thus, maintaining control. After getting off to a good start, children are usually the best dental patients.
Dr. Patel completed his undergraduate training and dental education at the University of Connecticut (UCONN). He went on to complete additional two-year specialty training in pediatrics at UCONN and the Connecticut Childrens Medical Center.
Dr. Patel is an active faculty member at University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the American Dental Association (ADA), the New Jersey Dental Association (NJDA), and the Mercer County Dental Society. To keep on top of the latest developments in the field, he regularly attends continuing education (CE) courses.

Dr. Patel has a rare combination of true kindness and true competence. He is a genuine joy to interact with, but at the same time he could teach lectures on dentistry as good as any professor! I'm delighted to have found him

We came to Ele-Dent last week after our almost 4 year old had a dental emergency. He hated our last dentist who was highly recommended on social media. Dr Patel fit us in and my son loved him. My son has never let any dentist touch his teeth without a fight but Dr Patel was able to calm him down and do a check up and cleaning. During the cleaning Dr Patel noticed that my son was afraid of his vacuum tool so he changed his methods to avoid using it and keep the patient calm. I highly recommend Dr Patel and Ele-Dent.

A++ We have been seeing Dr. Patel for the last 6yrs but when my son need major dental work ( 2 extractions ) he was excellent. He was claim and explained the procedure very well to us. He is experience and efficient and able to ease my son throughout the process. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Patel truly makes going to the dentist fun for your children. From selecting their favorite flavor toothpaste, to their miniature dental chair transforming into a rocket ship. He is patient, compassionate and quick. Everything you could possibly want for your child during a dental visit. The office staff is very pleasant and happy to go the extra mile. If you are looking for a pediatric dentist, look no more. There new Princeton location is very nice!

We have been going to Dr Patel for years and absolutely love him. He is fun and very thorough. So glad he has opened an office in Princeton as it is much more convenient for us (although he was worth the trip previously)

Thank you Dr. Milan Patel! This is the most outstanding service from a doctors office my family and I have ever received. My 10 year old daughter is in an extreme amount of pain, crying due to her teeth so much discomfort. Due to weather snow storm almost every place was closed, I left a messages. A friend of mine referred me here and decided to give them a call. Dr. Patel texted and returned my call. To my surprise they were so willing to take in my daughter, a new patient at the end of the day at 4:30p.m. on a snow day. On top of it my 23 year old by daughter over heard me that we were going to the dentist and she asked if she could make an appointment since she hasn't been able to get in at the normal office she goes to, and they were so welcoming and willing to take her in as well. We're truly so grateful for this team here and appreciate that they went above and beyond for us, we're only going to come here from now on!

We have been going to Dr Patel for many years for both my girls who are now teenagers! He is very kind and patient and works with a smile and always puts his patients first ! He even will Come to the office during his non working time in case of a dental "issue". We highly recommend him and his entire staff are amazing !! He has an office in west Windsor and recently opened a New office in Princeton .

Dr. Patel and his office have always treated my children with great care. My kids started seeing Dr Patel at a young age and always liked going because it was fun. At various times throughout the years, all 3 of my children have had dental emergencies and he generously offered to meet us off hours. I highly recommend Ele-dent Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Patel saw our 2 year old as a new patient for an urgent visit after hours on a Saturday (there are not many other medical providers who would do the same).
