Today was my 3 year old's first time at the dentist. He was very excited about going, and they exceeded all his expectations. underwater them throughout, with jelly fish hanging from the ceiling as you enter the doors to the exam rooms, made it feel like he had stepped into a whole new world. He got to choose from a list using pictures to represent which flavored toothpaste he wanted. headphones to watch a movie on the ceiling, sunglasses to block out the bright lights. They spoke to him to make everything silly and not super serious. When they took x rays, they said they were taking a picture of his nose and his chin, so he thought that it was super silly that the camera was so close to his face and that made him comfortable. Prospective is key with kids and they did an amazing job. I highly recommend.

Erica and Dr. Martinez were amazing with my son who's on the spectrum. Erica took her time to explain every step she was going to do with my son who was a bit anxious. Erica and Jasmine were very sweet, kind and patient. My son loved Dr. Martinez and had expressed that he's excited to see her on his next appointment. Overall, we had an amazing experience!

Fantastic Dentist and team. We were able to take our 3 and 4 year old at the same time and were in and out with cleaning and exam within an hour. Dr. Martinez is very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. The exam area is clean, cheerful and overlooks a beautiful pond with lots of birds to keep the kiddos interested. Also, loved the headphones, TVs in the ceilings and sunglasses to help distract. Thanks for a great first visit!!

Dr. Elaine Martinez and her staff do a great job of making our kids feel extremely comfortable. According to our 8-year-old, she feels like a queen as she gets to watch TV during her "tooth massage." Ha! The team is competent and friendly. Office environment is welcoming and tastefully decorated. (Sometimes I feel like we're under the sea!) There are even video games in the waiting room. Appointments start on time and we know how much is due (if not covered by insurance) before any work is done. There are two offices (Oakleaf and Fleming Island); we visit the Fleming Island location. Monkeys actually are excited (YES!) about cleanings. Dr. Martinez has young kids too, so I truly value her knowledge and practical advice as a skilled pediatric dentist and mother. We're fortunate to have this team in our backyard!

Dr. Martinez and staff were absolutely wonderful with both of my children! We went to her when my daughter was 8 months old and had brown spots on the back of her front two teeth (decay). My daughter did not receive enough calcium while I was pregnant with her (I was calcium deficient during my pregnancy due to extended breastfeeding of my oldest and having Hyperemesis Gravidarum). Dr. Martinez recommended brushing her teeth at 8 months old and wiping her teeth with a wet wash cloth or finger tooth wipe after her last nursing session at night. That helped for several months, but as my daughter got older it got worse. Her teeth became brittle and the decay was progressing. Dr. Martinez checked her every other month until we decided around 13 months to use SDF treatment to arrest the decay and buy us some time until her teeth grew more and a more permanent solution could be done. Her teeth were breaking off and she was in pain, she stopped eating food and we were maxing out on ibuprofen and Tylenol. The SDF allowed her to eat food instead of just nursing. We would schedule an appointment anytime I knew she was in pain again and Dr. Martinez would apply the SDF. Instant relief for my little girl. We did this until she was 18 months old when we finally felt comfortable with her going under anesthesia for root canals and caps to be placed. She is now a flourishing 2 year old in the 85 percentile for weight! She enjoys food, brushing AND flossing her teeth! I cannot recommend Dr. Martinez enough. She thoughtfully explained all of the procedures and put herself in my shoes as if my daughter was one of her children.
