They don't answer the phone ever. It just rings 30 times and then hangs Up ,And that was 10 AM so they weren't at lunch,I wouldn't know how Good they are because I never can make an appointment so I went with another dentist that at least answers the phone

Rihannan and Dr.Lopez were truly amazing. They did an extraction on me . And all was clean , painless and extremely professional. Both ladies treat they're patients like humans . EL RIO GET YOUR STUFF TOGETHER AND GET THESE LADIES A RAISE. THEYRE PROMOTING HUMANITY . Will be returning.

Rude staff. Long wait times. Don't come here for emergency work. They do not do emergency work unless someone doesn't show up for an appointment so you'll end up waiting all day long.

One of the most disorganized and inefficient dental services anyone can ever deal with! When calling the number listed here, there is no response! Phone rings 29 times, and after the 29th time, you get a busy signal. After getting this 4 different times, I drove directly to their office on a Wednesday to make an appointment. I was told they only make appointments on Mondays, and to call on a Monday to a DIFFERENT number. I was told they open at 7:45 a.m. I called at 7:45 the following Monday and was told to call back at 7 a.m., when appointments are scheduled. When I called at 7, a message said there was a 5 minute wait time. It was SIXTY-THREE (63) minutes before anyone answered! I have an infected tooth, so was told I could go in as an emergency case. I had already told the this to the receptionist when I first drove there, but instead of telling me I could sign up as an emergency patient, she gave me this run-around, making me wait 5 days before contacting them again. Ridiculously disgusting customer care.

Been going to the El Rio Dental on Congress for past 6 years. They've always been courteous and helpful from my experience. That goes for the office staff as well as the health providers. The only problem I have had with them is scheduling an appointment. Since the pandemic it seems they are overwhelmed with patients that postponed treatments like myself. I went in with an emergency cracked tooth. They got me in within an hour (the trick is to arrive at 6:45am) and evaluated me , fixed my tooth and gave me a treatment plan for about 4 other needed procedures. Problem was, they never could fit me in for the follow up. Have cavities, in need of deep cleaning and another cracked tooth and they can't even make an appointment for months in advance. Not their fault. They are a nonprofit organization that serves a huge population of under funded people in Tucson. They are overwhelmed with requests. I am very happy with the respectful and thorough care I have received in the past, but I had to seek my dental care elsewhere this month because my needs couldn't wait months for treatment. I wish them well because they have provided care for so many who otherwise would have no alternative because of lack of income or insurance. I am fortunate I have a choice, but I will always admire their mission and care for those who don't have a choice.

The receptionist are VERY RUDE! I came in & asked to make an appointment because they take forever to pick up on the phone!! When I went in the lady at the front desk had me wait 1hr or more just to schedule because it takes forever for her to log onto the "scheduling page"... ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! I left after waiting for an hour & they never helped me! They were just scheduling and taking in all the clients that had appointments. They disregarded me like I wasn't there.. awful! Dentist are amazing!

Negative 50, if possible. Went for "emergency" appt. Had broken abscessed wisdom tooth. No help at all. I had told them I am treated for extreme anxiety. When he just wanted to refer out, which is 3 months out, btw and I had 10/10 pain and no help. I had a panic attack and the dentist just kept yelling at me. It was the worst experience ever. Went to different dentist. Got in same day. Wisdom tooth was pulled, infection cleaned out. Was told that if I had waited, I would have easily had blood poisoning and been in ER. The real dentist was cheaper too.

This was the worst and most painful experience of my life. I have complex PTSD from a history of domestic violence that caused a lot of damage to my teeth.i was treated like a drug seeking junky. Dr Irwin partially numbed my mouth, started pulling my tooth, BROKE IT OFF, and decided he couldn't finish because I was in too much pain. Ie: they wanted more money to sedate me. They sent me home with tylenol and expected me to find my own oral surgeon. When my husband got loud, they quickly wrote a referral and shoved him out the door. I feel terrible for anyone forced to go here. My sincere condolences and I wish I could have afforded to go to Mexico. Or hell. I'm sure I would have been treated better.

As a registered nurse, I am appalled by my customer service and communication with this dentist. I'm a travel nurse and had to get a root canal, core build up, and a crown while I was in Tucson. The main office is incredibly rude and short. No one follows up, I've had to call multiple times about my issues. I had to pay in full for my crown and core build up because they stated I was "denied" I called my insurance and that was NEVER the case. So not sure how they acquired that information. Staff continued being rude. I had to pay this unprofessional business $1600. I have been waiting OVER A MONTH for my refund of $800, I have called four or five times now and no one gives me answers. No one calls me back and no one follows through. Awful awful awful place. It has now been almost a month and half STILL waiting on my refund. I have had to call like six times now. Last week, I was told the supervisor would get back to me and update me and have everything fix and approved that day. No one called me to update me. She also stated by Wednesday I should have my refund, NO ONE HAS CALLED ME EVER to update me. Each call is a headache and 30-45 minutes out of my day.

Absolutely terrible. I am switching to another dental clinic. Been calling for 2 weeks multiple times a day starting with 7:00 Am and throughout the day. No one ever picks up the phone. Same message all the day " we are unusually busy". Really the second you open you have a line of 100 people ? Worst practice ever and will give 0 stars if I could. I don't know how they operate. Will reach out to higher management because I have been there to see the dynamics, to see if they are so busy like they say. Guess what they are not. The ladies chat while the phone rings and you are quickly "put on hold". I don't recommend this practice to anyone and will take my evidence and reach out to management .

I have been calling for the past couple of days to re-schedule me and my daughters dental appointment and I haven't gotten through to anyone yesterday I stayed on the line for almost an hr and I never got through ! Don't get me wrong they have an amazing dental team but the receptionist part not so much.. there's about 4 to 5 workers there and for me to be on hold for and not get my calls through is just ridiculous!

The wait time without an appointment is nearly all day. It doesn't matter if you are coming in as an emergency and or in pain, they will only see you when the scheduled patients have been seen. The front desk support staff were very rude, and could be over heard speaking negatively about a patient. The security or person/s taking everyone's temp was very nice, helpful, friendly and professional. The back end staff including the dentist and those that work closely with the dentists/techs were great! My daughter has special needs and was very uncomfortable with having to be there, was made to feel safe and sincerely cared about. Kudos to El Rio.
