Born and raised in Mexico, Dr. Cabrera moved to the U.S at the age of 13. She attended junior high and part of high school in Salt Lake City but graduated from Coronado High School in El Paso. After attending UTEP, Dr. Cabrera received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree fromBaylor College of Dentistry.
Dr. Cabrera has committed herself to clinical excellence, high standards of care, and providing exceptional customer service. She takes ongoing clinical continuing education courses and practices management courses to support both her philosophy and commitment to excellence in all aspects of Dentistry.
Early in her career, Dr. Cabrera attended a program by Dr. Dawson (a pioneer in occlusal-based dentistry) that led her to develop a philosophy in preventive and comprehensive dentistry. Building on that foundation, she became affiliated with thePankey Institute where she completed five advanced training courses. Dr. Cabrera also completed advanced training in Implant Dentistry at theMisch Institute. She takes pride in having trained at world-renowned institutes and developing a well-rounded platform to deliver complex treatment but feels accomplished by truly applying her knowledge and providing the best that dentistry has to offer to her patients.
Currently, Dr. Cabrera stays at the forefront of Dentistry through her affiliation with the Seattle Study Club, Spear Education Center, and The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and attending multiple yearly continuing education courses.
Dr. Cabrera has been an active member of the El Paso Dental Society,American Dental Association,and Texas Dental Association for 22 years. She was a 5-year delegate to the Texas Dental Association, served on the Board of the El Paso Dental Society for over 10 years, served on the peer-review committee for 6 years, and held the position of president in 2011.
Dr. Cabrera is equally committed to the management of her practice and providing each patient with exceptional customer service. She believes that just like Dental Technology evolves, so do the needs of her patients. Dr. Cabrera is a woman with great character and integrity who is strongly grounded in her values of home and family. A balance between work, family, and fun is important to her. Dr. Cabrera is a busy hands-on mom. Being present and involved with her kids (John and Emma) after school activities, sitting down to help with homework, crafting, and having family dinner is a typical day after work. Despite her busy schedule, Dr. Cabrera makes time to stay healthy and enjoy a wonderful meal or a glass of wine with friends.
Dr. Alejandro Sosa earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical Sciences campus of the University of Puerto Rico in 2008. Dr. Sosas motivation to make a difference took him to Houston, Texas, where he completed his Prosthodontics specialty studies in 2011.
This led him to a Fellowship in maxillofacial prosthetics and oncologic dentistry at MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2012. Being the only dentist in El Paso with this training, Dr. Sosa is eager to help improve the quality of life for patients affected by oral cancer in our community.
Dr. Sosa moves to El Paso with his wife Yanitza, a pediatric dentist, and their son, Mateo. His strong family values create a foundation based on respect and trust that guide him in providing the best possible dentistry for each patient.
Dr. Lorena Malpica was born in Mexico and raised in our neighboring city of Juarez where she attended dental school. After receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2006, Dr. Malpica worked in private practice alongside her mother for 3 years.
Dr. Malpica moved to San Antonio in 2010 and worked with a world-renowned dentist for 5 years. She became passionate about dentistry when she realized that dentistry could improve patient smiles but most importantly the quality of their lives. This motivated her to pursue a specialty in prosthodontics.
In 2020, Dr. Malpica completed a 3-year Prosthodontics Specialty Residency at LSU School of Dentistry where she was awarded a Master of Science degree. She is committed to lifelong education in order to provide patients with all the advances that dental technology, research, and knowledge have to offer.
Dr. Malpica specializes in treating complex dental conditions to include full mouth reconstructions, implant rehabilitations, TMD, and all aspects of removable to restore function and esthetics. Most importantly she focuses on providing customized care to meet the needs and goals of her patients.
Dr. Malpica moved to El Paso to Join El Paso Quality Dentistry with her Husband, Benjamin, and three beautiful rescue dogs Lola, Flaco y Luna. She enjoys walking her dogs, taking care and nurturing her plants, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Malpica is already making a difference in our dental community. She has started the first SPEAR study club in El Paso which focuses on helping dentists further their education and knowledge in complex dentistry.
She looks forward to continuing to be an integral member of our El Paso dental community, as she works closely with specialists and general dentists to make a difference in patients lives, provide quality dentistry, and exceptional customer service!
She takes pride in helping patients making informed decisions about their dental needs by providing individualized attention. Known for going above and beyond, Neomi is our Office Manager and has been with the team of El Paso Quality Dentistry for 10 years.
She earned her Bachelors degree in Business Management in 2014 and has taken numerous CE courses over the past few years to bring knowledge to the Administrative and Management departments at El Paso Quality Dentistry.
She is a great additionto the team with her genuine smile and excellentcustomer service as an Administrative Assistant. She is passionate about the care we give to ourpatients and is looking forward to her growth at El PasoQuality Dentistry.
Susan joined our office in September 2021 and brings with her 27 years of excellence in customer service within the dental field. She is committed to work closely with each patient and help them navigate through their individualized treatment plan. From scheduling to reviewing questions about treatment and financial options you will find Susan to be passionate and enthusiastic to be of assistance!
Susan moved from Arizona and is now enjoying her new home in El Paso with her husband and 4 children. She enjoys cooking, baking, and finding the best restaurants in El Paso to satisfy her taste buds.
Destinee is originally from Birmingham, Alabama. She graduated from Savannah Technical College in 2016 as a Registered Dental Hygienist and has been enjoying taking care of patients for the past 5 years. She recently moved to El Paso and joined El Paso Quality dentistry.
I chose to work for EPQD after learning about their practice philosophy. I immediately knew the office has great leadership and invests in the growth of each employee. Being part of a team that performs comprehensive dentistry and working with doctors that are capable of complex treatments, that are not available in most practices, is motivating. I also was attracted by how genuine our doctors are. They are truly invested 100% into the care of their patients and their overall satisfaction.
I knew I wanted to be a hygienist because I always looked forward to having my teeth professionally cleaned. One of my goals is that my patients enjoy coming to the office. As a hygienist I strive to meeting and exceeding patients expectations. I want patients to feel well taken care of and confident they are receiving the very best care available. I am most fulfilled when I know patients are satisfied, and I see a spark of happiness in their smile.
Ive been married for 10 years and have a 2-year-old son. I enjoy traveling and learning the history behind each city she visits. I like spending time outdoors off-roading and hiking with my family and two dogs. I enjoy volunteering, as a dental hygienist, at multiple community events.
Sarah has been with El Paso Quality Dentistry for over 10 years as an assistant and treatment/marketing coordinator. Sarah has grown into the role of Clinical Supervisor for the past 3 years, where she has helped in the training and growth of our Dental Assistants.
For the past 10.5 years, Sarah has attended continuing education conferences with Dr. Cabrera and El Paso Quality Dentistry team to keep up to date on the latest in dental technology, dental photography, marketing, and patient care.
Being able to be a part of extensive cases has given me a tremendous amount of joy. Working with this wonderful team, we help one another be our best, to make this a place our patients look forward to coming to.
Ileana has been a part of the El Paso Quality Dentistry team for 4 years. She is a highly trained and accomplished assistant that has expanded her skills in TMD-Airway, Implants, Digital dentistry, and surgical assisting.
I graduated from Career Centers of Texas-El Paso in 2009 and have been assisting for over 10 years now. I have really enjoyed the knowledge and growth in the dental field over the past several years. I joined EPQD back in 2016 but left temporarily due to my husbands job, but I am excited to be back to working with this amazing team! Being part of this team, I have truly become very passionate about what I do and what we can do to change a persons life by improving their smile. The most rewarding part of my job is knowing I can comfort our patients and make them feel at ease. I am proud to be a part of a team that strives to make sure our patients are well taken care of and are truly amazed and happy with the outcome of any treatment. Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and my two children by going to the movies, hiking, or having a family night at home.
