In 2014, Dr. Ian Iwane had the great priviledge of continuing the practice of Drs. Joan Seet and Francis Carrington. Drs. Seet and Carrington a husband and wife team, established their practice is 1987.
We are happy to accept new patients into ourfamily friendly practice. Our practice is conveniently located on the corner of San Pablo Ave. and Central Ave., 2 blocks from El Cerrito Plaza BART &within walking distance from El Cerrito High School .We offer free parking in our private lot,entering on Central Ave., and we are Wheelchair accessible.
A Southern California native, Dr. Khehra was drawn to dentistry for its perfect blend of science and creativity. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology from UCLA and later moved to San Francisco, where she obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. She holds memberships in the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the San Francisco Dental Society.

It is always a pleasure going to see Dr Iwane. He is especially careful during COVID-19 restrictions I always feel safe. I have been seeing him since he started.

Excellent dentists: Dr. Iwane and Dr. Karen as well as Ellie, the receptionist. They made me feel very comfortable and had a gentle touch. I will also be sending my daughters here!

I've seen Dr. Iwane twice and have had a great experience both times. The office is clean and modern and the entire team is kind and professional. As a dentist he is very thoughtful, communicative, and attentive to detail. Highly recommend his practice.

After years of being with the same dental office, we left. Finding a new one was not as easy a task as we'd hoped. Dr. Iwane's office was the 3rd in three years, and I'm thrilled to have found him. He's great, and so is his staff. He squeezed me in for a toothache, and neither he nor his staff tries to "upsell." Just the treatment and preventive measures necessary. He really is terrific, so I highly recommend him.

I had an efficient quick and totally pandemic safe visit to have a cleaning today. All the equipment was new and worked perfectly. I really liked my dental hygienist, Lester. He's a great conversationalist.

I'm a patient of many years who's always had good experiences with cleaning and some more complex procedures like crowns. Dr. Iwane respects my desire for minimal intervention and doesn't push unnecessary treatments. A recent experience proved how lucky I am to have Dr. Iwane in my city. The staff kindly fit my 82-yo mother in to their busy schedule at the last minute to address a sharp broken tooth that was causing her much pain. The problem was addressed in 30 min. As a bonus I got to see that the COVID protocols in place are excellent and the office is newly remodeled. I'm very grateful for such top-notch care!

My first visit to Dr.Iwane's office. The initial checkup was very thorough and conducted by Dr.Iwane himself. He showed me some xRays and kindly pointed out some issues to watch out for. I felt very appreciative of the amount of time he devoted to my check up. The office is very clean and Covid protocols are in place.
