Dr. Steven Lin is passionate and caring towards his patients. He listens to his patients concerns and puts their needs on the top of his list. In turn, he offers dental treatments that are in his patients best interest. He is trusted and praised for his integrity and honesty. He is also easily accessible to his patients should his patients have any urgent needs. Lastly, he is knowledgeable and experienced in utilizing cutting-edge technology.
Dr. Lin obtained his bachelor degree in Biology from theUniversity of California, Irvine (UCI) where he graduated with magna cum laude honors. He then graduated from top rated University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry in the top 10% of his class. Dr. Lins passion for dentistry led him to pursue a teaching career as a clinical faculty member at the UCSF Dental School in 2007. He currently splits his time between teaching dentistry at UCSF and seeing patients in his private practice in Mountain View.
Dr. Mindy Huang strongly believes in a holistic approach to dental health. She tailors each patients treatment to their specific needs and educates her patients on how to improve and maintain their oral health.
Dr. Mindy Huang graduated in 1982 from Zhongshan University School of Dentistry in China. She later moved to the United States and did post graduate training in Oral Medicine at UCSF and obtained a M.S. in Oral Biology at UCLA. Dr. Huang received her California dental license in 1995 has been practicing dentistry in California for over two decades. She is currently an active member in American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Mid-Peninsula Dental Society.
Dr. David Thai received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He is a bay area native and received his Bachelor of Science in Microbial Biology from the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley). Dr. Thai is currently a guest lecturer at UCSF and has been published in the Journal of Oral Implantology. He is trained in comprehensive care dentistry and makes it his goal to educate, motivate, and restore each patients smile and health.
Community involvement is important to Dr. Thai. He has been involved with fabricating sports mouthguards for the basketball and wrestling programs at San Francisco State University (SFSU), as well as for the Cal football and rugby teams. Internationally, Dr. Thai has provided dental care in Jamaica in 2012 and 2013 through a non-profit, Great Shape! Inc.
Dr. Tovar received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry (UCSF) and her BA in Biology and Art from University of California, Berkeley. Her art training lends to her attention to detail, hand skills, and aesthetic eye in dentistry.
Dr. Tovar continues to pursue continuing education in her field and is an active member of the Santa Clara Dental Society (SCDS), California Dental Association (CDA), and American Dental Association (ADA). Her passion for dentistry goes beyond the office. She also regularly volunteers her services to free health clinics and dental missionary trips. Dr. Tovar is a Bay Area native. When shes not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, baby boy, and puppy and showing them around her hometown and all it offers.
I want to help each and every patient feel at home at our office. As your patient coordinator, I am here to help, whether its explaining insurance coverage and treatment plans, helping to calculate treatment cost, or making sure you are comfortable in the chair. Also, I am fluent in English and Mandarin. I look forward to meeting you soon.

We've been going to this office for more than 4 years now, holy moly I would move states to follow these folks. Best dental service. Always comfortable and pleasant, super competent and they explain everything. Old stuff they did for me is so good I forgot I had it done.

I have been looking for a new dentist, and I can't be more than happy with my experience with Dr. Lin and the El Camino Dental team. Dr. Lin and all the staffs at the El Camino Dental are incredibly professional and friendly. Dr. Lin was very patient and explained all possible treatment options during my consultation visit. He is very detail oriented and willing to listen to all your concerns and provide the best treatments possible! He is very knowledgeable and I sincerely appreciate him for taking his time to explain all different treatment options. After cracking my tooth, I was having some sensitivity and discomfort. I eventually needed a crown, and Dr. Lin did an amazing job with my crown! The sensitivity and discomfort immediately went away and to this day, the crown feels exactly like a normal tooth (also the color of the crown matches perfectly!). Thank you Dr. Lin and all the amazing El Camino Dental team for your hard work!

El Camino dental by far is the best dental office. My family has been going to them for past 3 years. Their conservative approach has been working well for us. Recently with some insurance issues we saw another dental office and after taking X-ray of my daughter's teeth, the dentist suggested that she has 9 cavities. It was a bit of a shock that at El Camino dental, dentist was only keeping an eye on acouple of areas and suggested a prescription toothpaste and better dental hygiene. Dr. Towar ( our Favorite) mentioned that these cavities are tiny and not worth filling at this point. Same story with my husband, he was told that he also has 9 cavities. I guess 9 is the going number for this new practice. My husband is so good with his dental hygiene that he can miss dinner but not flossing. Long story short, we resolved our insurance issues and bounced right back to the El Camino dental. Friendly service, they're upfront with cost and what your insurance will cover and what's out of pocket. I highly recommend them.

A visit to this dentist ended up damaging my tooth which then required surgery - at a price tag of $1,980. On April 28, 2021, Dr. Lin installed a permanent crown and mentioned a couple of times that he had accomplished this very quickly. One week later while I was eating dinner, I had a very sharp pain in the tooth with the new crown. Even just touching the tooth with my finger hurt. I called his office first thing the next morning and was told that he was totally booked and could not see me until the next day. You have got to be kidding - I was in PAIN and it was from a tooth he had worked on. I got an appointment with an endodontist and he discovered that the crown had not been ground down properly and caused the ligament in the tooth had become inflamed from the pressure of biting on a surface that was too high. He told me that I may have to have surgery later to remove the ligament and gave me a cortisone shot for the pain. I relayed all of this to Dr. Lin. HE DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE nor offer reimbursement for the appointment with the endodontist. I did end up needing the surgery. Go here at your own risk.

This is hands down the best dental clinic I have been to and believe me, I have been to a lot of dental clinics in my life. Not only is it the most affordable, but the staff here are very friendly and make me feel welcome every time I come to visit. Everything from the technical procedure to the quality of service was great and it all came at a very reasonable price point. Wisdom Teeth Removal: I needed to get two upper wisdom teeth removed and although I do not like dental procedures, this one was relatively painless and was over with before I even realised. Dr. Lin was my dentist and he was extremely comforting and fun to talk to during my visits. I can tell that he also cares about his patients a lot by the way he asked if I felt any discomfort during the procedure, which I did not. Retainer: I also got my retainers done here because they offered the cheapest retainers out of all the dental clinics I visited. The retainers came back within a week or so and the quality of the retainers are very durable. I am very happy with the clean cut that this clinic was able to achieve for my mouth. There is really no other clinic in the Bay Area that can produce such quality retainers at this price so if you need to get retainers done, get them done here! Price: With the consultation, x-ray scans, teeth cleaning, wisdom teeth removal, and antibiotics, I only had to pay a very low price and the retainers also came at a very reasonable price. My insurance (Delta) also covered a lot of the expenses. When the billing came, I was shocked to see that they only charged me a third of what I would have been charged at many other clinics. From the way I see how the medical staff engages with their clients, I can tell that everyone the doctors, assistants, and front desk truly cares about their clients. If you want a quality dental clinic that offers inexpensive services, this place is what you're looking for.

Dr. Emily Tovar is the absolute best. I've had cavities and soft teeth my whole life, and Dr. Tovar is the first dentist I feel safe around. She is so compassionate, explains things thoroughly, and is extremely efficient. By far the best dentist I've ever had!

Everyone who works here is kind and incredibly skilled. I moved farther away, but still make the drive over here for the amazing service. I appreciate the transparency in prices, so I am never surprised when it comes time to pay.

I have been going to El Camino Dental for 2 years now. Dr.Lin is one of the best doctors I've seen - he is so responsible, attention to detail, nice, and patient. I've done my regular teeth cleaning, invisalign, as well as other teeth treatment. I also just completed my Invisalign treatment now. The whole treatment (1.2 years) has been amazing. Check in with adjustment every 3-4 weeks in my case. Dr. Lin was very strict on the teeth result and asked to order another set (required taking teeth mould again) towards the end of my treatment so that the teeth will be more perfect. He totally did not have to as this would take more of efforts without any additional charge to me. This just speaks to how he is as a doctor. Amazing ethics as a true doctor. And Yang (dental assistant) has also been amazing throughout the invisalign treatment. The price of invisalign is very reasonable for the whole treatment (fixed fee). El Camino Dental discovered I actually had more dental coverage (due to my change of insurance, although it was both called Delta Dental but different states), and helped me save another 1000+ dollars!!! Would highly recommend this place if you are looking for the best dentist in town.

My family has been there for six years. Especially my daughters have had wonderful check-ups experiences with Dr. Mindy. The nurses there are patient and tender, and they brought my two girls positive experiences. They love to do check each time. Last December, I broke my teeth by accident. Thanks for arranging an appointment timely. And I had crown surgery very successfully with Dr. Lin and recovered very soon. Highly recommend!

Tl;dr - exceptional service, thorough cleaning, and strong integrity from Dr. Lin and team. They receive my highest recommendation. I have been a patient here for 2+ years after switching from Ming Yeh DDS, who unsuccessfully attempted to sell me braces and fillings that I did not need (verified by Dr. Lin) and unfortunately deceived me into buying a "nightguard" for my grinding (verified by Dr. Lin as a retainer, not a nightguard). Ever since I switched to Dr. Lin, I cannot recommend him enough and wished I was never a patient at Ming Yeh DDS (which readers should stay as far away from as possible because they try to extract ever dollar from your pocket and insurance company). Dr. Lin and team have great service from start to finish. They are friendly and treat you as people instead of a business transaction. They never rush you or push any dental products that you don't need. From a cleaning perspective, Dr. Lin is extremely thorough. He listens to each patient and is gentle for those that have sensitive gums or teeth. Most importantly, Dr. Lin is a good human being that is genuine and cares for his patients. You will be in good hands if you go to El Camino Dental and see Dr. Lin.
