Dr. Suzan Ekim is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario School of Dentistry, where she was awarded the gold medal of distinction along with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery for graduating at the top of her class in all four years of dental school. She moved to Minnesota from Toronto in 2001 and received her orthodontic specialist certificate and Master ofScience fromthe University of Minnesota in 2003.

After graduation, she continued as a faculty member in the Graduate Orthodontics Department at the U of M from 2003-2011, where she was a professor, a consultant orthodontist for the U of M Cleft Lip and Palate Team, and then honored to be graduate program director of the orthodontics division from 2007-2009. At the U of M, Dr. Ekim taught future orthodontists the clinical and scientific aspects of orthodontics while developing her own skills and practice style. During her academic career, she was honored to receive awards for her contributions to education and her profession. Moreover, Dr Ekim received the Young Alumni of Distinction Award and is a Diamond Level Invisalign Provider. Repeatedly named as a Top Dentist by Minnesota Monthly Magazine and Minneapolis St Paul Magazine, along with being selected as 'Parents Most Loved Orthodontic Office' and Prior Lake Business of the year in 2019, Dr. Ekim and her team are proud to be Creating Smiles with a Caring Style for over 15 years.

In 2007, Dr Ekim started private practice at her office in Prior Lake. Sheacquired the Burnsville location in 2015 and it became a part of the Ekim Orthodontics family. Herhusband, David,isa faculty professor at the U of M and togetherthey are proud parents of two wonderful children, Aaron and Charlotte. But what most stands out about Dr. Ekim is how much she truly cares about her team and her patients.

Jody is our Prior Lakeoffice manager and has been working in the orthodontics field for more than 18years. She has a new grandson whom she loves spendingtime with.She is so talented! She loves to knit, sew, create new things, read, eat, visit breweries, andtravel.

Brandy is our treatment coordinator and alwaysgreetsevery patient with a smile. She has been working with Dr Ekim since 2010. She is a proud Navy wife and enjoys spending time with her family, playing hockey, and running. Go Brandy!

Fran has been an orthodontic dental assistant for 35 years! She always comes to work with a smile! She has two kids:Rachel, who is a translator, and Eric, who is in the Navy. She loves to go bike ridingin her spare time.

Tiffani has been an orthodontic assistant since 2007. You may see her when you first enter our office or in the clinic working on our lovely patients. She has three young children who keep her very busy. She enjoys working in orthodontics and seeing the patients confidence transform as their smiles do.

Ashley is one of our fabulous assistants. She entered the field in 2002, and joinedDr. Ekims team in 2007. She enjoys getting to know our clients well and is almost as excited as they are to see the dental transformations they experience! She is the wife of Nate and mom to busy boys. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and making home crafts.

Kari is our practice managerand has been an orthodontic assistant for over 15years. She loves meeting and getting to know our patients at both locations.In her free time, she enjoys many hobbies and spending time with family and friends.

Erinn is one of our treatment coordinators and has been a dental assistant since 2007. She loves seeing our patient's smiles transform. She spends her free time with her husband and two young children.

Michelle has been happily married for many years with three beautiful children. When she is not helping create beautiful smiles, she enjoys spending time at the lake, gardening, sewing, and DIY projects. Family time is a great priority for her.

Colleen has worked in orthodontics for 20 years. She enjoys getting to know each of our patients and seeing their transformation. In her free time, she loves outings at the dog park with her two dogs, gardening, cooking, and outdoor concerts in the summer!

Kay is our Burnsville office manager. She has been working in the dental field for almost 40 years. She is the proud mother of two married adult daughters and grandma to two beautiful grandchildren. She enjoys cooking and spending time with her family in her free time.

Trudy is our patient coordinator who believes in Top Customer Service. She is one who has a plan, a purpose, and who has a passion for creating a positive environment for those around her. She has a beautiful family that includes 3granddaughters.Traveling, exercising and decorating are just a few of her hobbies.

Linda has been in the dental field for 30+ years. She enjoys family gathering with her husband, 4 children and 2 grandchildren. In her spare time you will find her working on remodeling projects, testing new recipes, skiing or sailing.

Jamie has been working in Orthodontics for over 20 years. She loves working with patients and seeing the end results! She loves spending her free time with her 2 daughters and their family dogs Daisy and Sunny.
