Edward Bailey grew up 90 minutes south of the Triangle in Fayetteville, NC. He graduated from North Carolina State University (NCSU) with a degree in chemical engineering in 1994. While working as an engineer full-time, he completed a masters degree in business management at night, also at NCSU. He then returned to dental school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). Upon graduating, he worked at a childrens public health clinic in Sanford while his practice was being built in Morrisville. Bailey Dentistry formally opening in March of 2002. He continually takes continuing education classes to provide the best dental care possible for his patients. Dr. Bailey is married with two children. When not practicing dentistry, he spends his free time watching his kids play numerous sports (soccer, golf, basketball), and enjoys playing golf himself.

High tech equipment such as optical magnification, digital radiography, digital intraoral photography, modern composite resin fillings, and zirconia porcelain crowns are utilized for the best possible results. We know that you have many options available. We appreciate all our patients and their trust in us.
We are not associated with any dental insurance network. As a service to our patients, we can file your insurance with almost all carriers and we accept assignment of benefits from them. Many think that not being in-network is a disadvantage because patients are not coerced to us by their employer or insurance carrier. In fact, we want patients to select us because we can treat them better than other practices. The philosophy of our practice maintains that you should select your dentist based on merit, not based on an agreement between the dentist and an insurance carrier. Your health is one of the most important aspects of your life. Therefore, we believe that you should select your dentist based on their ability to meet your dental needs.
Often times in-network dentists are overly aggressive with their treatment in order to maximize their production since they are discounting their regular services with an agreement with an insurance carrier. By contracting with insurance networks, dentists perform their treatment at significantly reduced rates. They frequently rush through procedures in order to fit more patients into their schedule, again to make up for discounted fees. We desire to provide you with the best care possible: taking all the time required to complete treatment correctly for long-lasting results. We allow plenty of time for each patient so that we can run on time as much as possible. We understand that your time is just as valuable as ours. In-network dentists tend to use less experienced and less compensated staff, in order to make up for discounted rates as well. Many patients mistakenly believe that by going in-network that they are saving money. Actually, most out-of-pocket expenses are covered nearly identical no matter what dentist you go to. Unfortunately, the vast majority of savings by going in-network goes to the insurance carrier, not the patient.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Bailey for several years and are very pleased with our dental care and how we are treated. The office is immaculately clean. The staff is pleasant and professional, answers the phone, returns calls, and is helpful.The office is obviously well managed. Dr. Bailey is a pleasant and very competent professional, who provides excellent gentle care using the best equipment. He has been happy to explain his treatment plans and alternatives and answer questions fully. If you care about your health, and want quality dental care done properly the first time, look no further.

Great dentist and great practice but only 3 stars since they are so expensive and out of my network but plan to keep coming back since Dr. Bailey is such a great dentist. Recommend they get in network with Dental insurances so I can save money.

Dr. Bailey is thorough and personable. His hygienists are high attention to detail, yet gentle, and seem to take pride in their work. We have been patients here for 5+ years. Highly recommended for solid long term dental health.

Jessica is the the person I see the most, she's absolutely great! Dr. Bailey has been fantastic as well, thankfully I've had only a single serious issue that he fixed very quickly! The staff here really do make your visit easy, I rarely wait much. Now with digital xrays, the images are crystal clear, a nice improvement.

I have had nothing but great respect for Dr Bailey and his staff. I have been a patient for nine years. He listens to my concerns, has a great team of hygienists and assisted when I needed other dental work. Courtney was very helpful in getting me appt with UNC Dental School, and they worked with me on my insurance to have the work be within my budget. His office made a night guard for me that has lasted for years, and even provided the mold if I ever need to get a replacement. I have moved a few states away but still travel to visit his office.

He's the best dentitst I've ever been to. Polite , friendly , cheerful, and knowledgeable. I 've been going to Dr. Bailey for over 10 years, and he's great. Staff is awseome- courteous and polite. Courtney is very nice, and the Dental Assistants are great. Highly recommend.

It is clear that this facility is a business. They are not cheap. The costs have creep-ed up and up through the years. And since they are not a Metlife preferred provider they are free to inch up the charges as they wish. When asking about their non-preferred status they will politely skirt around the issue. Courtney is condescending and curt. We left them a year ago and are glad we did. There are plenty of preferred providers out there just as qualified, just as kind. My wife and daughter are much happier right down the street. Beware.
