I havebeen practicing Dentistry in Hemet since I graduated from UCLA in 1990.I am a member of Tri-County Dental Society, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Hemet/San Jacinto Exchange Club, Healthy Valley Foundation, Valley Trails Alliance and the Western Science Board. We have been working for years with valley charities and education, including Valley Wide Recreation, valley schools, boy scouts, Ramona Bowl, Western Center and many individual athletic and student groups. Our efforts helped build the aquatic center, Diamond Valley recreation center, Searl Park, Bill Gray park exercise trail and the upcoming Jim Venable Exchange Club park in Valle Vista.
My wife Chris & Ihave lived in the Hemet area since 1990. Weare active in both thiscommunity and our church. We have enjoyed raising our 4 children in this valley. We hope the next generation has the same opportunities.
Jennifer Bagshaw R.D.H. (Registered Dental Hygienist) I have been in the dental field for 15 years, and still love it. I work hard to provide the best care for each patient. Sometimes I feel like a personal trainer, giving tips and insights customized to each individual; sharing why and how to take care of their teeth and gums so they can have a healthy smile.
After graduating from Moreno Valley High School and 2 years at UC Riverside I transferred to Fresno State University. In Fresno I married my high school sweetheart (true story!). I completed my education to become a dental hygienist and receive a BA in Public Health. Following graduation, my husband and I remained in the Fresno area for another 15 years. This is where my son and two daughters were born and where we built lasting friendships. We loved spending time in the mountains and lakes in the Sierras as well as Fresno State sports!!
My husband accepted a job transfer to Santa Rosa, CA where we spent the next 27 years. I was also employed by one dentist for that entire time period. Though we enjoyed the beauty of Sonoma County my husband was offered yet another employment opportunity back in southern California. I miss the family I left up north including grandchildren but have embraced this new adventure.
As a veteran hygienist, I continue to be passionate about my profession. I also recognize an equally passionate dentist! I value ethics, commitment and building trusting relationships with patients as does Dr. Formica. I am grateful to be a team member with Formica Family Dentistry and continuing my professional growth and career.
Hi! My name is Jane Shepherd. Ive been married to my wonderful husband, Tom, for 37 years. We have four awesome children and two pet dogs. Through the years we have enjoyed travelling the U.S. and abroad, both together and as a family. One of our goals is to visit as many of our National Parks and Monuments as possible.
I was born and raised outside of Buffalo, New York a long time ago! Its a great place to be from, and where my husband and I will retire, except in the winter months. We have brothers, sisters, a son, and many other family members and friends in that area, so we visit Western New York often.
Working for Dr. Formica the past 8+ years has been a blessing. Our dental office is professional, comfortable, and friendly. It is a great place to work and I know I will have long lasting friendships with my fellow staff.
Hello! I have been in the dental field for over 20 years. I am originally from Northern California and have lived in Hemet for 2 years. After graduating from Modesto High, I decided that I would like to work in the dental field, so I attended Galen College to become a dental assistant.
Krista Macintosh has been a Registered Dental Assistant Since 2011; she joined our team at Formica Family Dentistry in 2015. Krista has five children ranging in ages from 9 to 21. One of her favorite things is to watch them play baseball and softball. She also likes to take them camping and hiking.
Krista says the thing she enjoys the most is dentistry, especially extractions. (Is that weird?) We have enjoyed having Krista with us for the last 3 years; she is hardworking and kind which is a win-win for our patients.
I have been working in dentistry for 10 years, the first 3 years were volunteering for the Red Cross in Italy. Before I began work for Dr. Formica, I worked in Murrieta assisting with general and implant dentistry.

Being a big baby when it comes to the dentist, I was a bit nervous. Dr. Formica and his staff completely put me at ease. Dr. Formica was very gentle and explained everything he was doing, and it was pretty painless considering I needed a root canal. I will no longer be afraid of the dentist as long as I'm in their care. Thank you Dr. Formica and staff for easing my worries.

I'm a serious chicken butt when it comes to dentist....Dr formica is the sweetest , most gentle dentist I've ever been to...he is calming....gentle, non judgemental man! Love him to pieces....excellent, awesome man & dentist.....his hygienist jennifer is too notch! Makes going to the dentist a breeze.....couldn't me happier!

Best dentist in town. He is a perfectionist in a good way. He is so gentle and sweet. I am so grateful for all his hard work and giving me my smile back. The staff are AMAZING. Kristin his assistant is extremely sweet and thorough. I can't say enough good things. I will update with pictures when the new hardware is in. He was not happy with the ones I was forced to buy from another place and is helping me to make them fit my face better. Worth it!

Dr. Formica is a terrific dentist. I had an emergency and his wonderful staff worked me in. He explained my options, spent time talking with me and patiently, and very kindly, answering some questions about some of my future treatment options. I've found that he is very helpful not only in dental procedures but equally at teaching about dental options and choices. His office uses a laser that replaces Novocain in many procedures. He is honest, open and takes good care of his patients, my wife and I included. Wonderful staff. You're always made to feel welcome. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Formica has been our dentist for over 20 years. Growing up, my kids were never afraid or apprehensive whenever it was time for a checkup, which is a huge plus. Dr. Formica and his staff are absolutely wonderful, they are professional, caring, knowledgeable, and patient.

Excellent dental care. I had a toothache and Dr Formica's office got me in for treatment right away and, after I had some discomfort that evening, called me the following morning to check up on me. Dr Formica's office is equipped with the most cutting-edge technology. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I developed a toothache on a Friday. I didn't presently have a dentist. Dr Formica's name appeared on a list of offices accepting my yet-unused dental insurance . I cold-called his office the following Monday morning. He found time to see me that day. He diagnosed the problem quickly, started a root canal, and within a day I was pain-free. We finished up the root canal the following week. He worked quickly, confidently, carefully, and explained what was going on every step of the way. He was personable the whole time, sensing just how much assurance I needed at any moment. His support staff was courteous and thorough. The whole office setting seemed clean and orderly. I guess I've found my new dentist.
