With over three decades of experience, a warm approach to patient care, and the latest dental innovations, Edward H. Chappelle Jr., DDS, is ready to serve patients in Bowie, Maryland, and the surrounding area. He views his practice as a family and enjoys every opportunity he gets to welcome a new patient into his friendly office.
After earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Chappelle completed general practice residencies at both Eastman Dental Center and The Genesee Hospital, both in Rochester, New York. Since then, he has committed himself to continued education, staying informed of and trained in the newest dental technology. He is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American College of Dentists and is affiliated with the National Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
Today, his extensive training meshes with a commitment to helping people. Through his work, Dr. Chappelle strives to deliver excellent dental treatments that help people feel comfortable and confident.
When hes not seeing patients, you can find Dr. Chappelle working in a different way: to improve his community. Hes involved with the Boys & Girls Club and the Largo Community Church. He also partners with the Omega Psi Phi fraternitys scholarship program to help bring mentorship to high school students.

Getting a filling in my tooth was my first time receiving any kind of dental work outside of a cleaning. Dr. Chappelle and Choice made sure I did not feel anything throughout the entire process to a point where I almost fell asleep. They both were the best dentist I have ever gone to!

Wisdom and medical expertise meet together in the dental practice of Dr. Chappelle. He offers excellent care, coupled with sensible encouragement toward a patient's own self care. His gentle manner can offset our anxiety about sitting in the dentist's chair. Also, his staff is friendly and diligent. It's clear that having Dr. Chappelle with us in Bowie is a blessing.

Dr. Chappelle is a great dentist. I recently returned to his office after moving out of the area for a brief period of time. He's still the same skilled and personable professional. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new dentist.

this dentist office is amazing all the staff communication at this office is great all but the office manager, but because the dentist, hygienist, and other staff are great i'm not going to let one bad apple make me change my mind about this office where I get great care hopefully she will learn how to communicate like her peers and the office will be great it's such a joy to walk into an office of smiling faces when you already have a fear of coming to the dentist, this makes it more relaxing

I love everything about this dentist office. I have been to many offices over the years, but none I like as much as this one.There is usually no wait, all of the staff nice and professional, quiet music playing in the background and best of all, Dr. Chapelle. He is very knowledgeable and thorough and tells it like it is but doesn't try to sell you on stuff you don't need. If you are looking for a dentist in the Bowie, Mitchellville, Lanham, Upper Marlboro area, this is your place.
