Dr. Ryan Edmunds graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Brigham Young University. He then attended the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. His research throughout dental school in oral cancer won many awards and was published in the journal Cancer Research. Dr. Edmunds also participated in an academic fellowship during his final year of dental school because of his dedication to teaching and his love of learning. He continued his education to become a periodontist by completing the periodontics residency at the University of Texas Health Science at San Antonio. During this time he also obtained certification in IV conscious sedation and completed a Master of Science degree with his research in lateral ridge augmentation techniques using recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein--2. His emphasis during his residency was the augmentation and regeneration of bone and soft tissue for the treatment of periodontal conditions and in preparation for dental implant placement. Dr. Edmunds has worked hard to succeed, but what really distinguishes him is his care for others and his commitment to service. He volunteers in local need-based clinics, and gives his time in other organizations, such as the Boy Scouts of America. Dr. Edmunds is a father of four young boys and loves being in the outdoors and playing sports with them. He and his wife, Kari Dawn, love living in Utah and are grateful to be in this wonderful community.
Practice PhilosophyI believe in doing things well the first time, using only proven techniques and the best and most researched materials. My guiding philosophy is to only recommend things I would do for my own family and to treat things conservatively. I believe that communication with the referring dentist is absolutely essential to successful outcomes for my patients - in regenerating lost bone and gum tissues and in preparing for and placing dental implants so that patients can have functional and esthetically pleasing tooth replacement options.

We are very very pleased with the service we received at Dr Edmunds' office. The staff is always friendly and professional. And Dr Edmunds did such a fantastic job on my daughter's dental implant. After her implant we went to my daughter's orthodontist for an appointment and he said that the gumline on her implant was the best one he's ever seen! It looks so natural! We highly recommend Dr Edmunds.

The bad news is, I have had to have numerous surgeries on my mouth over the past 2 years. The GOOD news is, I am so incredibly grateful and blessed that I found Dr Edmunds and his team. EVERY single surgery has been a positive, comfortable, safe and expert experience. The staff is so calm, skilled, kind and wonderful. Dr Edmunds is so talented at his craft. His work is flawless and solid! This team has mastered the WOW customer experience. After every surgery, Dr E was available and quickly responsive by text anytime day and night which provided so much peace in the days to follow after surgery. I highly recommend Edmunds and his team anyone needing oral surgery or work!

It doesn't get any better than this! Dr Edmunds gives you top-notch excellent care, he is the very best available! He cares, not just about your dental health, but about you. His long-term staff members greet me by my first name when I walk in the door. His hygienists are the very best! I just can't say enough good about him, his office and his staff.

I was recommended to go to Edmunds by a friend of mine. Turned out to be a very good experience. And I hate dental care. It gives me anxiety. And this was the first time I can say I walked away feeling calm and certain. I needed the beginnings of an implant put in for a missing molar. Everything looked good on my end so it was a slam dunk for Dr Edmund. But still an important procedure. They did amazing. More confidence in them doing it than my regular doctor. What I will say is that the service, the bed side service, that was provided was above and beyond the best I have gotten. Both from Dr Edmund as well as his staff. From the admins to his nurses. I even heard him talking to another patient about their smile /teeth and how they were perfect for them. Something about how they shouldn't do replacements of their teeth just because. That their natural teeth were better than replacements. and This told me he genuinely had the patients best interest in mind and not a cash grab for their money. Also, his personal number is on the post OP instructions, so if you have to call with any concerns, he even does that for you. They give me a discount on paying full up front, so if you have the savings, get that discount. It helped a bunch. I am almost a week post OP and I have had little pain and no complications.

My first experience was coming in for a needed dental implant. I felt like queen for the day; I was treated so royally by the entire staff as well as Dr. Edmunds, and the implant, one of my front teeth, is beautiful. Then a couple years later, I broke the implant in an accident and put the root of my other front tooth through my lip. I went to Dr. Edmunds who worked me into a very full day just to help me. What he said I needed was an oral surgeon to try and save my tooth, and he got me immediately into one who also had a very full day and numbed me up so I would be ready for immediate help. I can't say enough about the loving concern and help I received that day from Dr. Edmunds. He is beyond excellent; he is amazing, and his people skills are as good as his dentistry!

Ryan is top notch! I was in need for a major fix on my front tooth implant. He did a couple of gum grafts and several post op consultations to assess progress and discuss treatment plans. He's a perfectionist and honestly cared more about how I looked than myself. I would never see anyone else. He made me feel like a friend. There are people in life that do more and make an impact, Dr Edmunds is one of those guys!

Dr Edmunds was very friendly and extremely good at his craft. He takes time with his patients and he always goes above and beyond to make sure all his patients are treated like family. His staff is also amazing. If you are looking for a Periodontist, this is where you should go.

I had a gum graft done with Edmunds and his team. Each one of them were so caring and kind. The environment is warm and friendly.
