Dr. Shah was very motivated to become a prosthodontist. He always felt that he wanted to do more for his patients, so when he decided to move to the U.S., he took the opportunity to significantly advance his skillset. While getting his second dental degree, he would often have to refer patients with complex cases out to prosthodontists, and this ignited his curiosity about what they were able to do that he couldnt. So, he started observing them and became more and more involved in the treatment process. With the guidance and motivation from his faculty mentors, he successfully completed a Prosthodontic Residency enabling him to better serve a wider array of patients.
Dr. Shah began his dental training in his native India, where he graduated from the Government Dental College and Hospital in Jamnagar in 1998. After practicing for nearly 10 years, he immigrated to the U.S., where he completed a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry. He went on to receive his Prosthodontic training at the same institution right after dental school.
Dr. Shah has taken countless hours of continuing education over the years, including courses focused on sinus lifts, guided implant surgery, and bone grafting from the Versah Academy in Chicago, Hiossen-NJ, and Dental XP. He is also a member of the following professional organizations:
Laureen has been a part of our dental office for nearly three full decades so far, with almost 40 years spent in the dental world overall. She attended the dental assistant program at Union County Tech. She has a true passion for helping others, and her job gives her so many opportunities to do just that! Outside of work, Laureen and her husband have a grown daughter named Katelyn and a big extended family that includes lots of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces/nephews. In her spare time, she enjoys taking walks, traveling, going to the beach, and doing fun crafts like crochet.
Lorraine has been a part of our dental office for well over a decade now, and she really enjoys both the flexibility of her position and getting to collaborate with such wonderful coworkers. Outside of the dental office, her husband unfortunately passed away after 45 years of marriage, but she is still very fortunate to have lots of wonderful nieces and nephews. Shes also met another wonderful, caring gentleman, and they enjoy traveling, dining, and entertaining together. Some of her other personal hobbies include gambling in Atlantic City and playing games like mahjong and poker.
Tanya is originally from East Brunswick. In her time in the dental field, her favorite part of her job has remained the same: interacting with each patient. She attended Rutgers University and is currently working on getting her BSN, RN. In fact, she would love to be a NICU Nurse Practitioner one day! In her free time, she likes spending time with her parents and sister, writing, painting, and keeping saltwater fish tanks.
With an impressive 30 years of experience in the dental field, Kathy joined our team in early 2021. A New Jersey native, she studied at Rutgers University in New Brunswick and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. All these years later, her favorite part of her job continues to be when patients tell her how clean their mouth feels after their visit! She has two adult sons and loves spending her free time crocheting, reading, biking, and getting involved in church.
